Excellent customer care

The 2 young men I spoke to were so kind, respectful and sympathetic to our situation following the death of my mother. They display real empathy and a conviction to helping resolve the situation.

Matt was very polite

Matt was very polite, very calming and sounded very compassionate. His advice was extremely helpful and eased all my anxieties about the process. I wish OVO had put me in contact with your company from the start, that would have helped reduce my stress as I felt I was being listened to and guided in the best direction for myself.

Letters so soon after death

Had 2 letters about credit card debts that I’m aware of as executor from my dad’s estate. He’s been gone just over 2 months and comes in to inheritance tax which needs to be paid before probate is applied for. Although their letters state the executor is not to pay out of their own money, I don’t appreciate letters so soon after a death! You don’t have access to money overnight. Told them to not email me or send further correspondence again and it will be paid when possible. Not what you need whilst dealing with an estate and trying to grieve

Morning Charlotte, thank you for your feedback. We fully appreciate that handling your late Father's affairs will be a time consuming as well as difficult process for you & the family. Please be assured that we are always happy to move at the pace which the probate process dictates. There is no hurry and there are no deadlines. We aim to initially engage with executors within a reasonable timeline purely to make sure that those handling the final affairs are aware of our client's creditor claim, but once that is done, we fully appreciate that the process can take weeks, months and even years. We hope that provides some reassurance and to your point, we are happy to guided by you in terms or when or if your late Father's Estate is in a position to resolve matters. Wishing you & the family our deepest condolences and all the very best.

Why did they write to me?

The letters were not clear why they were writing - I had already told Eon I was taking over the elec bill (all easily sorted and straightforward with B Gas, Water bills, ins, so why difficult with Eon?

But WORST OF ALL -are your garbled telephone messages - impossible to hear Co name, tel no to call and reference to use- so always ignored- such a waste of your time. Make your letters clear- it would be so much easier. eon should have accepted the closure when I contacted them initially.

Since the passing of both of my…

Since the passing of both of my parents, I have kept the utilities ticking over until the sale of their property . All that remains is the final bill now that completion has taken place and eon Next have been giving me the runaround. Your agent today has informed me that she is going to get some clarity for me, and I believe her.
