Letters so soon after death
Had 2 letters about credit card debts that I’m aware of as executor from my dad’s estate. He’s been gone just over 2 months and comes in to inheritance tax which needs to be paid before probate is applied for. Although their letters state the executor is not to pay out of their own money, I don’t appreciate letters so soon after a death! You don’t have access to money overnight. Told them to not email me or send further correspondence again and it will be paid when possible. Not what you need whilst dealing with an estate and trying to grieve

Why did they write to me?
The letters were not clear why they were writing - I had already told Eon I was taking over the elec bill (all easily sorted and straightforward with B Gas, Water bills, ins, so why difficult with Eon?
But WORST OF ALL -are your garbled telephone messages - impossible to hear Co name, tel no to call and reference to use- so always ignored- such a waste of your time. Make your letters clear- it would be so much easier. eon should have accepted the closure when I contacted them initially.
