Pirate shipping has saved me so much…

Pirate shipping has saved me so much money, fast, and reliable.
I ship all my sales through UPS buying prepaid shipping labels and drip off at UPS store. Used them for 3 years now, only wish i would have found them earlier.

We lowered our shipping costs by 50% compared to our old company!! And they are so responsive to issues - I've had the best customer service, again way better than our old company. Totally loyal customer now!

Great Service, excellent pricing

I've been using Pirateship for a few years now, mostly for online sales. Their rates are great & almost always beat eBay pricing. I've also compared them to their competition & other than a few other services offered on other platforms, they beat the competitions prices almost every time. Only down side, they don't give a rate for media mail before you enter shipment information.

We love Pirate Ship!

We love Pirate Ship! and are so pleased to have discovered them. We are a small home-based business and Pirate Ship has saved us a lot of money on our shipping costs. Their customer service is excellent, with quick responses and helpful suggestions.

Good rates, but problems with surcharges and frustrating support

Original Review: I used Pirate Ship for a shipment and requested signature confirmation. The package was delivered today. I heard the truck through my open window, but the driver dropped it inside gate and left. No signature was requested. The UPS tracking explicitly says "Received By: DOOR."

I sent a support request to Pirate Ship thinking it would be a simple refund for the service that was not performed, but it turned into 70 minutes of back-and-forth involving five emails and a live chat. During the exchange, they sent me a screenshot of someone's signature as "proof," but the signature wasn't mine.

They never acknowledged the error and instead gave me a "courtesy credit" in an internal account balance rather than a refund to my original payment method. I had to go to a separate page to manually request the refund to my card. This was my experience trying to get a $6.25 refund for a service that was not provided. Having to navigate their cutesy pirate-themed branding the entire time made the process even more annoying.

The shipping price was fair and the package did arrive, but the lack of accountability and the hoop-jumping required to fix a service failure made for a poor experience. Two stars.

UPDATE 4/22: Nine days after the initial ordeal, my credit card was charged a $50.18 "adjustment." The carrier claims this box, which contained two golf clubs, weighed 40 lbs instead of 5 lbs and was 49 inches instead of 48. Both incorrect. A 40 lb weight is physically impossible for the contents. Thankfully I still have the box and filed a dispute. I’m told it may take 3 weeks to resolve. The effort required to correct these blatant errors is exhausting. Changed my rating to one star.

UPDATE 4/24: I am moving this back to 2 stars because the overcharge was eventually refunded. However, again I had to endure too many back-and-forth emails where support provided inaccurate information.

It wasn't until a senior rep stepped in that the $50 error was acknowledged and fixed. While the refund is appreciated, the process to get there was ridiculous. I wish I had a better experience. Changed rating back to two stars.

I find this method of shipping the most…

I find this method of shipping the most cost effective, and the most convenient.

Not only is it super easy to grab a quote on shipping without having to pay or complete a transaction, this app also gives me every option under the sun available for my package. This is THE most user friendly site, saving my information without asking me to do so, as well as the copy and paste function which is super helpful for pasting IN addresses from another site (such as ebay, or messenger). The copy function is equally as helpful for sending back the tracking number once the package has been paid for.

occasionally, I've gotten a change in the cost of an item when the post office has reviewed the size and dimensions, and I've gotten a credit, or been asked to pay a little bit more. Either way, the procedure is straight forward, and very fair and easy to navigate.

Pirate Ship has saved me a king's ransom over several years. Perfectly intuitive website, too, which is a big plus for anybody over the age of 30. Friendly interactions one hundred percent of the time make it all the better. Superb!

Ahoy! I'm One Happy Pirate!

I have been using Pirate Ship for several years and have been extremely happy with my experience. It integrates seamlessly with Etsy and is far less expensive for international shipping than Etsy labels. When I have had problems (unrelated to Pirate Ship), they have been super helpful, and they are even available to talk me through my own stupidity. Customer service is top notch and I would be totally comfortable recommending their service to other users of shipping platforms.

Rave Review from a Small Business

We are a very small business and we use Pirate Ship because: 1) the quotes are accurate. 2) no add-on fees or subscriptions. 3) when I have had a question, I spoke to a live, helpful agent. 4) it is very easy to use. 5.) we have used them for at least five years. Additionally, I have my own personal account.

A No Brainer Free Option

Pirate Ship has made my online business possible and profitable. Shipping prices can get out of control if you don't know where to look. Getting corporate and at times cubic rates is a financial life saver, and the fact that they offer it for free makes it a no brainer. Plus their easy comparison with additional shipping companies and options makes Pirate Ship my absolute go-to shipping service. Whenever anyone asks me "how do I ship something, Pirate Ship is the first recommendation I give them. Thank You!

From 1 to 500 packages

When it comes to shipping efficiency PirateShip takes the phrase "Time is money" to heart. Between being able to paste in our customer's address information for an accurate autofill and saving shipment profiles for frequent items, our shipping time has improved by over 87%. Bulk shipments for advertising are also a breeze thanks to their partnership with USPS. If you need a reliable company for prepaid labels, then ye found yer first mate here ;)

Non-profit and personal use

I use Pirate Ship for our non-profit and for personal shipping. Great savings. There is always to option to select the cheapest shipping or the best. That is perfect for when items have to get to their destination in a timely manner. Pirate Ship carries its own insurance so you aren't dependent on UPS or USPS for any claims. I had one claim and Pirate Ship handled it and refunded for the damage in transit
