Easy to use

Easy to use ( imprortant for tech phobics like me).
It has plenty of value for beginners such as myself, plus was recommended by a successful POD celebrity, no less !
My only quibble is that there was a markedly low amount of black infants without adults in the photo , in the mockups for tshirts section. I'm happy to continue using Placeit.

Charged for another year with no…

Charged for another year with no reminders at all. I mean this is ridiculous...I am not using the service at all and now I have been charged for another year. Would not recommend the site.
Also, to be honest there are not that many mockups...

I made an account with Placeit

I made an account with Placeit, however, I completely forgot about it, and never used their website. They charged me the annual subscription fee without any notice. I know they are under no obligation to notify me- it was completely my fault for overlooking it. When I reached out to them about a possible refund, they were very quick with a reply and were understanding of my situation, and refunded me the payment. I cannot vouch for their products/website, as I never used them, but their customer service is fantastic!!

PlaceIt Suggestions

You have very little available for mock-ups in certain categories. Nothing with farm animals at all. Only SIX photos with cats! Very few distinguished looking older men with mustaches. Very few alternative types. Very few older hippie types. Very few models are smiling or laughing.

And many of your photos (at 1440 or 1920 wide are just under the size that Etsy requires (2000 pix wide). So every photo I download first has to be opened and enlarged in Photoshop, before I can put it in an Etsy listing.

Are you unaware of Etsy’s size requirements, or do you think that not many of your customers use Etsy? It sure is a pain in the neck that your photos are not “Internet ready” or at least not ready to use for my purposes.

Also, sometimes I accidentally download something a second time. There is no way to cancel the second download. If I click on it, the software tells me I’m downloading too quickly! No, I’m trying to STOP the extra download.

Also, I haven’t found a way to “see ALL” without selecting “Download”, when all I want to see is what I’ve saved.

Also, it would be VERY helpful if I could know which images I’ve already downloaded, perhaps put a “Download again” on each of those images.

Also, I have many folders with Saved designs. But when I hit save, a tiny window opens which only shows the most recently created folders. I’m working on sweatshirts right now, but I cannot get to the Sweatshirts folder without scrolling for quite a while. Perhaps you could give us the ability to arrange our folders how we want them, or at least make the window larger so more folders would be visible, or show the folders in icon mode. Anything that made more folders visible would be a help.

Took money despite cancelling renewal last year!!

Even though I cancelled my annual subscription LAST year they still took money out of my bank account without any renewal notification and without my permission. DO NOT deal with this company. I've asked for a FULL refund. The don't communicate about renewals leaving the user with no evidence. They don't even tell you a month beforehand that they are going to take money from your account. Stay away.

Run away! It's a trap

I agree with what people said.
Dishonest way of getting me to subscribe. It looked like I could pay around 10 dollars a month and unsbscribe at any moment. Instead, I am engaged until 25! doomed to pay 120 dollars a year. That's really a trap

Stay Away

Company would not refund a mistaken annual auto-renewal.

Offered a price of $74.74 for 1 month instead of $89.89 for 1 year...

Stay away from this company, it's not worth it.

Same thing as everyone else on here I ended up buying the anuall plan instead of the monthly wich I do agree is a little scammy. But I have to give a 5 star because when I emailed them they got back to me and gave me a refund wich I didn’t think they would do. Shout out to Katie s someone give her a raise
