Prime example of no regard for Covid precautions on Cairnryan / Larne crossing. Clearly loaded to normal capacity with no way of social distancing anywhere other than outside in the chilly winds. Hu... See more

Greed at a time compassion required
Disgusted with the greed of the company. A force majeure is occurring due to pandemic and we cannot travel from Australia even if wanting to due to Australian government regulations. My understanding is P & O ferries is not taking passengers from Netherlands to Hull on the date we were to travel ( 17 April 2020) . We requested a refund due to credit offered cannot be availed of in the 12 month time limit. They refused and told us to request again a month before expiration of credit. Due to their current behaviour I would not trust that that will occur! However as stated to them we will not be able to use it now as our travel times has been shortened / changed if can go ahead in 2021.
Other companies as part of our European & UK holiday from Australia have identified the pandemic as a force majeure and offered credits or refunds of all monies paid. P & O ferries show no compassion to their customers in this totally uncontrollable circumstance. Their rely cried. “if we refund you we have to refund everyone” and “contact your insurance company” trying to push responsibility onto other companies.
Will not consider travelling with them again when we make it to the UK/ Europe and will pass on our experience to others.
I was disappointed to see on their Facebook site they could not even display empathy to a young underage soccer team who had fund raised to get the money to travel.
Lack of compassion doesn’t give a good image!
They are hiding behind their policy ... but does it cover force majeure?👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Not happy with customer service I have received over last three weeks.
A little disappointed
P&O Dover-Calais Absolutely brilliant, thanks!
Thanks to Brittany Ferries abandoning us and countless others in France and not giving a toss we had to make the marathon drive across to Calais to get back to the UK.
I phoned customer services and spoke to Peter who offered helpful and friendly advice as I hadn’t travelled with them before. He offered to take the booking online but I wanted to make sure that we actually needed to get back and not stay in France until the Coronavirus lockdown was over.
Booked online, rocked up at Calais about 6 hours early (like to travel in plenty of time just in case) and got on the next ferry, a wait of only 20 minutes.
Friendly, helpful staff onboard, lots of people cleaning surfaces and handrails etc and lots of room to keep ourselves in relative isolation.
Absolutely spot-on and many thanks to P&O ferries for providing a first class service. If only you weren’t at the other side of France and Dover wasn’t such a trek for us in the UK!
Brilliant,thank you!!
P&O travel insurance - absolute scam
I recently used P&O Ferries as my travel insurance provider for a trip to the Philippines. As the people of the world will be well aware, the current climate is not one in which travelling nor returning home has been easy or fun.
I had been in the Philippines for approximately a week when the pandemic started to force governments to impose restrictions and sanctions. The government gave nationals from other countries, 72 hours to vacate the Philippines. I was on an island and had already had 3 flights cancelled to get back to mainland. I eventually managed to get onto a flight back to mainland and immediately had to book a new flight to get home. This was due to the flight that I already had booked, being outside of the 72 hour window. meaning that I would not have been able to catch said flight.
At this point, all hotels were unable to take on new bookings, meaning that if I did not manage to get on the flight within the 72 hour window, then I would have been stranded in the Philippines with no accommodation and no possibility of a flight for an unknown amount of time (as can be seen on the news).
The staff at P&O said that I was not eligible to claim money back for the flight that I was restricted from using, as well as the other flights that were cancelled. They said that they do not cover ANY claims that are in relation to the Corona virus. They are aware that I would have been without accommodation and also that there were government sanctions and restrictions on flights and all other transport.
I am aware that this is a troubled time for all, yet they showed no compassion or support in any way for the current situation. I can only say that I feel sadness for the people that are stuck in other countries that have this insurance, which was a PREMIUM policy that I paid extra for, so that I would be covered for every eventuality... insurance has once again proved itself to be legalised theft.
DO NOT EVER BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY
DO NOT EVER BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. Belgium have closed their borders and non essential travel is banned therefore we have no choice on whether we travel or not. However P&O ferries refuse to give a refund and will only issue a credit note. Contacting my credit card company to insist on a charge back as the service paid for is not able to be provided. Absolutely disgusting treatment by this company which must be insured for force majeure. Shameful behaviour P&O ferries.
No refunds only credits
So I cannot travel because of Coronavirus and the government advise is you shouldn’t travel yet P&O will not refund, they will only issue a credit to be used on a future sailing. People need refunds in these hard times not vouchers. You have lost a customer.
Good service
Today booked a mini cruise with p&o and “Matt” who took the booking was completely professional and explained everything very well.
Matt during the call was very knowledgeable and patient,,,he knew his stuff.
Good experience, hopefully he will get a “well done” from management.
If I could give you a 0 I would
If I could give you a 0 I would, every time we book a sailing it is cancelled and we have a 2 hour wait you treat your customers with contempt. The reason this time was they had to refuel every time there is some excuse. There is always only one person on the passport control. Will have to start using DFDS
Service good and rooms tidy but far to…
Service good and rooms tidy but far to small and if you are clostrophobic it's not ideal at all, food is ridiculously expensive and not even that nice to be fair. Journey back from rotterdam was awful on our voyage as it was storm Dennis and you struggled to stay in your bed the boat was all over and people constantly been sick. The boat should never have left rotterdam till the storm was over. Not a pleasant experience at all.
Missed my boat (2000hrs) from Larne
Missed my boat (2000hrs) from Larne - Cairnryan on the 29th December. The customer service myself and my young family recieved was exceptional. The lady assisting us was fantastic and helped get us sorted for the next sailing, nothing was too much hassle. 10/10 customer service
Great customer service
This is the first time reviewing p and o ferries.
I am basing this review on a number of journeys made with them.
I do not understand why it is so lowly rated in other reviews, u suppose that some people could have particular issues.
My experience with p and o has been consistently very good.
On one journey I was late and they called me up (proactive) to see if I would be turning up. As I was late and they knew about it, they planned for it and I made the journey.
Other journeys have involved me needing to make changes. In all cases the people I dealt with were understanding and helpful.
I have had a number of dealings with a number of companies and end up disappointed with the customer service often, this is not the case with p and o.
Apart from that the general look of the vessels is better with p and o.
Darren presented exceptional service
So on the 17/11/19 at around 18:30 to around 19:10 my family and I received exceptional customer service from Darren. He went beyond his service in order to help us get home. My family and I were travelling from France and on our journey we had a flat tyre that caused my family and I distress. Darren offered to help us by giving us his own tyre pump, unfortunately the tyre pump was too short to reach the tyre so Darren, drove his own car closer to our wheel so the pump could easily reach. Darren was so patient and amazing, he truly wanted to help which is why I’ve given his service a 5*. If Darren was unable to help then I really don’t know what we would had done to get out of that situation. The service Darren showed us had nothing to do with his job role, he simply went beyond to help a group of people that needed help. So Darren from my family and I, we want to really thank you for really going beyond and assisting us as you did. Thank you. Sylvia

I have just been on the ferry for six hours that would normally take 90 minutes due to adverse weather conditions, I have been very impressed with P&O and their staff, we have been looked after and kept informed of the situation... thank you to all the staff who worked so hard under such pressure, who have gone above and beyond... thank you.
Unhelpful customer services
Booked a crossing from Dover to Calais having clicked on a promotional email, 6 free bottles of wine. I have done this many times before without problem. Wine did not show on my booking. Contacted customer services, VERY UNHELPFUL, basically tough, no wine as did not enter promo code. This was attempted but not accepted. Very dissatisfied with customer services attitude, basically it's tough and we cannot be bothered to make the amendment. Will be using the channel tunnel in future. BEWARE so called offers and the promo codes that do not work.

We've travelled quite a few times from Hull to Rotterdam and return, and I have to say the staff are brilliant. The cabins are small but tidy and the food is great but it is the staff that deserve the highest praise, they are a credit to the company
Hull to Zeebrugge
Hull to Zeebrugge, overnight crossing. Very smooth. Cabin small but comfy and clean. Pleasant and helpful staff. Food in the buffet was excellent. Good entertainment

This is the most shittest service and…
This is the most shittest service and most unprofessional company you will ever find. We travelled from Dover to Calais with 16 people and were coming back with 19 which was approved by on of their own colleagues sitting at customer services. When we got to the port, the lady said that’s not allowed and you have to change your ticket to a group ticket so park up and call customer services. She was not helpful or considerate even though it was a mistake on their end. We called customer services and had to pay extra and they said they will refund our deposit. We came back on 7th August and it is now 27th and these guys keep lying and telling stories but they haven’t been able to process a refund. Never recommend these guys to anybody. Massive headache.
