Clowns is the word to describe this…

Clowns is the word to describe this lot.
Sailing from Larne to Cairnryan today.
Due to leave 16.30.
Apparent problem with ramps. Be a 15 minute delay we’re told.
45 minutes later we’re still waiting.
It’s taken an eternity to load.
No further information and no apology from any staff. Twitter states all sailings I time!!

Brilliant friendly service

After our car breaking down 2 hours from Calais on our way home we could not make our ferry. P&O couldn't have been more helpful,we explained the situation and they carried the price we had paid for our ferry crossing over to the following day to put towards the cost of another crossing. We were then able to book onto a ferry the next day with 1 1/2 hours notice. Brilliant friendly service.

I’m sitting here having been delayed…

I’m sitting here having been delayed over 5 hours for the departure of my P&O ferry from Dover to Calais. The information board that over 400 passengers are reading is useless with absolutely no update whatsoever. The P&O ticket office staff were bullshitters explaining that the delay was only 2 hours when the Twitter feeds stated 5 hours. Shocking service from a cynical and inept company

Haven't used ferries from Dover for…

Haven't used ferries from Dover for 15yrs due to the late night comedy that is Calais, but due to holiday traffic the tunnel was fully booked.
Sat here on a ferry that is already 3hrs late and have just been delayed 20mins for refuelling and the Captain has informed us of a further delay as Calais decided to let another vessel berth ahead of us.By the time i hit Dover, with 2 young children and my 80yr old parents it will be 15 after midnight...on a ferry booked for a 20.30 departure.I run commercial freight via the tunnel weekly and will continue to do so as delays like this are too frequent and too costly.I will cancel work before i ever use this atrocious service again.

Five Stars for Customer Service

Having had problems with Direct Ferries in getting a full refund for provision I had pre-booked and paid for on a P&O ferry from Cairnryan to Larne on Sunday, June 23, I contacted P&O Customer Services Team.
In contrast to Direct Ferries, who refused a full refund over the phone, and made no reply to either of my subsequent emails to their Support Team, P&O responded promptly, and helpfully, and to my grateful satisfaction.
Gabrielle, at P&O, was excellent in every respect.

Appalling company

Appalling company, rude agressive employees at Cainryan.
Was asked to submit to a FULL body search! When I questioned this they became abusive, a, the manager when called for was rude and unhelpful,It transpired the moron meant a pat down, ( hardly nescessary on a ferry to Larne!) They then refused to apologise and cancelled my ticket! This meant I missed my grandson's christening, they said they didnt care!I shall look at taking legal action, for damages and compensation.
Do NOT use this company.

Terrible site and dodgy call center reps.

I used their website and call centre to book a a car ferry service with them and each time there price got higher and over inflated. When I spoke to the call center people I didn’t feel like they were trying to give me a good deal, in fact I felt they were just trying to charge me as much as possible. Smelling a rat I tried direct Ferries for an alternative route only to find I could get the original route I wanted with p and o ferries for more than £150 pounds difference! I thought using them direct through their site would give me the best deal but it didn’t. What a shock.

Complete waste of time

When I called P&O ferries to book, they said we couldn't use our Clubcard vouchers at the times we wanted to travel, because they don't accept promotions for popular crossing times. It doesn't say this anywhere in the information from Tesco, or P&O, so I was very disappointed. There was plenty of space on the ferry, and they were happy for us to pay by debit card, but not Clubcard vouchers. They said if we wanted to use our vouchers, they could only offer us a crossing three hours earlier or later, which was no good. This has been a complete waste of time.

Very poor

Very poor
The website is shocking and just doesn't work.
I spent an hour trying to spend money with them and can't all because they want Data. You have to create an account then it won't take passwords or accept your e-mail address so you can't actually check out.
Decided to go Stena at lease I could buy a ticket but it cost me more.
I called the help desk which it says is open till 22.00 at 21.30 to get a booking but no. They were closed! dreadful and a joke.

Hulloween trip hull to Rotterdam…

Hulloween trip hull to Rotterdam 31.10.18

Cabin seemed small but I guess adequate for 2 nights.
I'm still suffering from food poisoning ( campylobacter) whether it was from food on board or in Amsterdam is unclear but it's left me with 30% liver function and 2 weeks later still not right.

Disappointing trip to zeebrugge

It was booked as a special treat for myself and parents, a first time on the ferries for me and my mum. The boarding on the Friday night was quick, we went to our cabin which was clean. We went in to the bar for a drink, service was very slow with just 2 staff on serving, we had to queue for a good 30 minutes. On returning to our cabin it was unbearably hot in the room, we attempted multiple times to adjust the Aircon, but it would not work. The toilet door lock was broken and the door kept coming open, especially on the way back when it was a bit rough. We did not sleep very well due to the heat and stuffiness in the room. The following morning we got told due to a technical fault we would be docking later at 10am.The ship docked then it was chaotic as everyone wanted to be off, people were just pushing and shoving from all directions, there was no organisation whatsoever. We were kept waiting and did not actually get on the transfer coach until 11.10am, arriving in Brugges at 11.30am.We had planned to go on the train to meet up with a family friend who lives just outside Ostend, however due to getting off the ferry late we had to cancel, very disappointed.
The Saturday night crossing was rather choppy and once again our cabin was uncontrollably hot and stuffy and we had to wedge our toilet door shut with our cases to stop it banging.
The Sunday morning was okay until we gathered at the exit to disembark only to be kept waiting another 50 mins due to a fault on the gangway. I felt disappointed in our whole trip, the ship itself looks tired and run down. Our plans were spoilt!

Going out was OK

Going out was OK, difficult to find a seat on the ferry as everyone drapes themselves across two seats and tries to grab a snooze.

Coming back, plugged the reference from the booking email into the SatNav - which dropped us in the middle of an industrial estate in Calais. No problem, we found the port in plenty of time anyway, checked in with over half an hour to spare and were told that "your ferry is delayed for 3 hours".

Strange, because we got to the boarding queue for the later ferry and saw a big sign referring to our original ferry saying "on time". Took it up with the staff on the ground who were worse than useless - didn't even attempt to answer questions, just walked off in the opposite direction talking into the walkie-talkie.

"So can you help me"

[Slight laugh] "Oh no!"

"But I have a ticket to travel"

"You were probably late".

Ran to the car and back. Showed them the ticket - clearly timestamped - on time. I have a booking for this ferry. I'm not late, can I get on then?

"No"

Why not?

"You're booked on the later ferry"

Go back to the car again, get the phone, show them the booking email.

"We can't help you, the ferry is full. It's a safety issue".

"OK, so why didn't you tell me that in the first place?"

Met with shrugs, and "we can't help you".

Ferry leaves early, clearly overbooked. We hang about in a queue of cars til half four in the morning with no refreshments, explanation or apology.

My advice - if you have to use P&O Ferries, understand that your ticket entitles you to not much more than a chance of getting your ferry. Turn up early and hope for the best. Don't bother trying to talk to staff about anything because they'll not be interested.

Rotterdam to Hull food poisoning

Saved journey time on the road by having the convenience of sleeping on the Rotterdam to Hull crossing. I genuinely think this service is convenient, competitively priced and well delivered. I just expect a level of safety in my onboard dining that I was not delivered.

I was up through the night after eating in the buffet restaurant on deck 8. I ate the Chicken Tikka Rogan Josh curry with some of the rice and naan, and I was suffering from D&V throughout the crossing after that - confined to the bathroom with terrible sickness. My wife went to the onboard shop to get something to help me ... they had sold out! The only thing/s left were traditional Imodium. Lady told her they had been deluged with people needing them on the crossing!

I was really disappointed and am just getting over it now a day on. It wrote me off for almost 24 hours straight.

MY REVIEW REFERS TO THE BOOKING STAGE…

MY REVIEW REFERS TO THE BOOKING STAGE ONLY ATM
I would like to express my gratitude to one of your employees who answered my phone call amidst the chaos of last weekend when problems with Eurotunnel impacted on all channel ferry companies.

While the website was choc a bloc and I encountered my own difficulty in booking crossings online, I decided to phone and make a booking that way instead.

I was greeted by "Thomas" who is a Belgian man. ( I did ask)
What a pleasure to speak with him.
He explained apologetically about how busy things were.
Then he presented options clearly and carefully and had my crossings booked in no time.

A real gentleman, happy to help and with a gift for dealing with people.

With a busy life of my own, it's not every day I want to express my gratitude!
But this needed mentioning.
Thank you again

Worst website ever

Worst website ever. Crashed out of booking and returned to front page every time I selected a crossing time, and then helpfully reset all my settings. Even after I had signed in as a returning customer. Then it kindly urged me to book by suggesting over 300 people had booked in the last hour - how did any of them manage that!!??!!?? unless that is 'attempted to book in the last hour'. Ended up having to book a ferry through an agent.
