Overpriced, poor customer service
Booked a service. Barry attends, takes the panel off the boiler and finds a leak which we were unaware of.
He refuses to carry out the service which was fine (no point if we need to fix/replace the boiler) and says it will be £60 call out and diagnostic charge instead. We made it known we were not happy with that but felt it unfair to take it out on engineer so wait for the invoice. The invoice arrives and they want £72 for being on site for less than 10min. Tried to discuss the bill with office staff offering half the price and Paula was rude and inflammatory. We spoke to Barry again and was informed he’s the owner. We offered to pay half (£36) but he insisted on the £60 figure as that’s what he had said while he was here. He said he would only lower it if we went with them for the replacement which would be £500 - £400 more than we had already been quoted while waiting for Barrys quote. If he’d have been polite and reasonable we would have considered his replacement quote but asked him not to send one in the end. We would NOT recommend this company. He said there’s no profit for charging £60 for travel and less than 10min on site with his overheads etc. Load of rubbish. We were happy to pay something for his time and travel but we booked a service which did not go ahead, then we’ve been charged a call out and diagnosis fee. I only hope that people see and listen to this honest review.
Completely understand businesses need support at the moment but the way it was handled and the diagnosis fee is a joke. This is the first bad review I’ve ever done in my life.
