Sticking tape and styrofoam
Bought an purmo radiator… spent more time for cleaning of tape and Styropor sticking on The Radiator Itself.. then for installing…
Dont understand how this can be sold to Customers… Zero Stars…

When dealing Purmo's Merriott brand, I ordered parts for my radiators and paid extra for them to be painted a specific colour. The arrived un-painted.
The refused to refund the extra money I paid for the items to be painted. Theives.
Purmo uk -I bought a radiator through Plumbase 2 years ago with full warranty which isn't worth anything!! The radiator has sprung a leak causing irepairable damage to a carpet. Purmo/ Myson have just dismissed my claim for a replacement radiator saying that the system hasn't any or enough rust inhibitor in it without ANY knowledge of whether the system has or has not any inhibitor in it!!??
Poor quality is more likely the cause!! Never in 40+ years have I had a radiator fail after only 2 years. Avoid them.
Their after sales / customer services argue without any evidence or facts in order to avoid replacing the obviously flawed radiator!!
Cowboys. Purmo supposedly offers a 10-year warranty on radiators, which they refuse to honour as manufacturing defects allegedly can "only occur within days/weeks of installation". They then contradict themselves by stating the radiator has failed at the weakest point; the weld. Sound like a manufacturing defect to me. My radiator failed after 7 years in a well-maintained system. No questions were asked about the condition of my heating system and only unfounded assumptions were made to quash my warranty claim. The warranty has more holes than the product and is little more than a useless sales gimmick.
After waiting for 6 mths for a radiator sent wrong colour ordered anthracite sent gun metal grey they refused to change it said my light in kitchen made it look lighter considering I already purchased 2 anthracite rads I was in wrong previous rad I bought also leaked they refused to even look at it had to get it swapped for one wolsley plumb centre had in Stock they also repaid for plumber wolsley brilliant stay away from purm after sales service and refund policy appalling
Bought 7 Purmo Plaza vertical designer radiators and 6 worked fine but one leaked after a short while around the bottom. Purmo refused to replace and claimed it must have been dropped. There is no dent, just a very fine crack in the weld. Local ironworks company took a look and stated they thought it was a poor weld that had failed. These radiators are poorly made and I’m tentatively waiting for another to start leaking but stuck with either replacing them all for over £2000 or risking buying another crap but matching radiator from Purmo for £350.
Awful attitude and response to warranty query. Asked about warranty and was told the corrosion and enamel flaking off was due to the fitting. They made incorrect assumptions and said radiators in bathrooms and shower rooms are only guaranteed 12 months. That is not what it says in their publicity and advertising material which states 10 years. They have no idea where the faulty rad was fitted because they never asked, just made assumptions to fob me off. Awful after sales service.
In April 2021 I purchased a Purmo slieve 1800x568mm vertical radiator to replace two horizontal radiators in my tiny living room. According to its spec it's heat output should be 6001-7000BTU, which exceeded what was required for the room's dimensions, however this winter I have found that the only thing it's able to heat is itself! The radiator is boiling but doesn't radiate so I've had to pay to have one of the radiators put back. The vertical rad is pretty much just a hot, expensive, wall ornament. Utter waste of money.
I AM 19 YEARS IN MY HOUSE WITH 8 PURMO RADS GONE NOW . THEY TRIED TO SAY ITS WATER BUT HOUSE DOWN THE ROAD HAS RADS IN 40 YEARS AND NONE REPLACED
My 6 years old radiator started to leak from a hole in the centre of the panel!
Tried customer service but have had no response.
£241 radiator damaged and wet. They have said they will replace it but I have to do the job free as they won’t compensate me for having to come back to the customers house again even though their materials are not of good quality
Poor radiators.
Moved into a new house 9 yrs ago. A radiator recently sprung a leak, a pin hole in centre of bottom rail.
Checked out manufacturers website, lo and behold their rads have a 10 year guarantee.
Ha ha ha.
The radiator has a manufacturer’s date on the bottom stating when it was pressure tested to 10 bar but unless I have a receipt and return the radiator for inspection, the guarantee is worthless.
I have emailed the company asking for help but they have not answered.
Now because it is January and need heating I have bought a replacement radiator, can’t wait for a reply.
I got a Plumb centre own brand radiator without a 10 year guarantee!!!
