Cuff stiff

The device did not work very well at the beginning. The cuff seemed stiff and difficult to fit the arm. Then I tried to start without arm to see how much it inflated.
After 3 times inflate the cuff inflated much more, and a normal blood measurement worked without difficulty.
I think a long stay at store/reseller is the reason

Qardio Arm product is not worth anything. Bad customer service too!

I purchased the Qardio Arm blood pressure monitor and right from the start, it would not even get a reading ..just quit with a Z6 error code, that is not explained anywhere.
Tried to call them, but they have no contact phone number to call. Emailed them and took a long time for them to respond.

They sent me a second unit and exactly the same thing happened ... would not take a reading and Z6 error code... DOA.

I contacted them a week ago by email to their support people about this and have not yet heard back from them. I want to return the unit for a refund but it seems they are not responding to that request.

They have a terrible, make that non-existent sense of customer service.

I would not recommend this product or the company based on personal experiences with them.

Don’t buy this it is a terrible product.

I was so excited about this item but I hate to say it is terrible. Its automatic on and off feature never works so consequently it always drains the battery. Half the time you get a faulty reading and even when working it isn’t all that accurate and there are much bigger swings of measurements than is normal. It just doesn’t work well and is poorly designed. My BP is probably elevated just from trying to get the damn thing to work. I’m throwing it in the bin and going to get a Withings.

Save your money

Save your money. I bought the base scale thinking it would be accurate. What a disappointment. I get 3 different weights in 5 minutes. Plus you have to wait for an interminable time for the weight to appear. Pretty but worthless.

After thinking this thing was saving my life and ending up in the ER twice in two days we discovered the readings are incredibly faulty. I did not have it with me the first time so could not compare to the ER bp cuff. Second time I did bring it and found It's at least10 points high on a regular basis. There is something seriously wrong with this device. It looks cool, but that's about it.

Base 2 premium price tag not premium quality

Base 2 product information on website is misleading. If a member of the family is pregnant and sets preganancy mode, it will only show weight for all other users.
Edit: app is glitchy and poor too, needs so much improvement - won't send measurements to the app and even when it does, the app doesn't even show muscle %, only fat %... why?!

One of the worst customer service depts...…

they have one of the worst customer service departments we have ever experienced. Issues with out base 2 and go back and forth like we would expect sent all of the required information such as serial pictures receipts and then no response. Several emails with no follow-up. Went as far as reaching out to the CEO on LinkedIn and no response, there's a pattern with this company. I would recommend not buying from them on the grounds that there customer service is nonexistent. Thank you for your time.

Device Doesn't Last Long & Terrible Customer Service

Bought this for my parents. Worked well until it didn't. Had 2 break within 1 year of use each. They replaced first one as it was still under warranty. 2nd one stopped working within 6 months and impossible to get a hold of customer service. No one ever answers their phone. E-mailed several times. Get sporadic replies and then no replies. Last e-mail we got, they asked us to take pictures which we did. Next e-mail we got was saying that they were closing the ticket and then asked about our satisfaction with the customer service. WHAT A JOKE OF A COMPANY! Do NOT buy from them!!!!

An excellent product - when the app works!

I was an early adopter, having bought it in December 2018, and have had to return it three times: once inside the warranty period (6 months after purchase, replaced), once just after the warranty period expired (replaced for free, so a big tick for customer service there), and once when it stopped connecting and they had to manually apply a firmware update. Since October, when they applied an update to their app, the app stops working when it loses focus for more than one minute. So now I have a very expensive ECG that only works when the app is on top and the phone (iPhone 8 Plus) is switched on. Which makes the whole point of buying this product moot.
When it did work, the ECG is pretty good, but the visual design is poor as is the display of data (I mean, bar graphs?). After using it off and on - mostly off although that has never been my choice - I've come to the conclusion that this product would only be of value if your cardiologist told you to get it. Having said that, if the app is ever fixed again then I would go back to wearing it (and it would get a 4 - maybe 5 - star rating).

Don't buy this, it's not for consumers

Don't buy this. It has potential but it's no good as a consumer product. You can't look at historical data except on an iPhone screen. Imaging trying to scroll through hours of recordings taken at 1 sec intervals !! Unless you happen to have a cardiologist with access to the system its useless. It also doesn't work well with any movement even with the strap tight - which is then very uncomfortable. And the App keeps crashing when you try to look back at the data. In short, a waste of money unless your Cardiologist recommends it.

This is my second Qardio

This is my second Qardio. The first one was stored for a long period with the batteries in it and they leaked. This one works fine, but won't neatly fold like the previous one. It appears the cuff material may be incorrectly cut and mounted.

UPDATE: When new, the cuff may not be stretched out and unable to neatly fold. I used it several times and it apparently stretched out or adjusted itself where it now neatly folds. I suggest using it several times and it should start to fold as shown in the videos.

I too was critical of the qardio but …

I too was a bit critical of the qardio at the start. Excellent support from customer services helped me understand better what I was doing wrong, not the cardio. Simple - the cuff can't be too tight. Excellent piece of equipment which I would highly recommend.
Advice - follow the instructions and read the manual. 10/10

Z6 Error and No Response on How to Fix from Quardioarm

I purchased the Qardioarm approximately 4 months ago (Aug 2019), and initially it worked fine until the past week when all I get are Z6 errors, and no way to find out what that is. Called customer service, am on hold for a while, and then get a message that I'm either calling after hours or there isn't an agent available to take the call. Emails go unanswered other than the automatic email acknowledging I sent them a query.

Other issue - it gives higher readings than my physician's office. However, using it regularly at least offers a trend in the readings. I simply adjust the systoloc and diastolic readings down per the average differences in the physicians' readings.

I bought this because of the phone app and ability to print off reports. However, it won't take a measurement any more so I'm back to my old (reliable) electronic cuff and manual tracking of the readings. So...$89 cost/120 days of use=$.74 per day. That's what I got out of it.

Would not recommend purchase especially if your physician, like mine, wants you to take a reading at least once a day - go with a like electronic cuff from your pharmacist or Walmart and track manually.

Inaccurate readings

I’ve had the Qardio arm for about a year and the Qardio a base for three months now. 15 times in the past three months the Qardio base provided weight measurements exactly the same weight as the previous day to the tenth of a pound, sometimes four days in a row the exact same weight reading. Lately I’ve weighed myself four times within two minutes and Qardio base produces different readings within a range of 1.5 pounds. Very frustrating. Qardio arm produces readings with variances of 20 mm Hg and I thought it was me. Now I’m wondering if Qardio arm is wildly inaccurate also.

App and instructions unreadable unless you own a microscope.

Ok, I purchased this unit solely because you could keep a log on your phone. Had a hard time pairing the device, but once I did everything worked well.

My main complaint is the color and font size on the app and in the user guide. Why in the world is gray used as the main color? It may look pretty to a 20 year old graphic designer, but us users are the ones who have to read it. I have an iPhone 8 Plus, imagine if I had a smaller phone. What is wrong with black letters anyhow? They served the newspaper industry for decades.

My advice, get real users to test your software, not young snowflakes who don't have a clue about the real world..

And don't think that I'm some old curmudgeon who doesn't have a clue about technology, been working in electronics and computers for decades, and I can tell the different between and pretty app and an effective one.

Btw, I find the product unusable for the reasons above, so I'm returning it. Thank you for wasting my time.

QardioCore not a UK consumer Product.

QardioCore not a UK consumer Product.

I bought this for my wife to help manage a condition but you can only see the live trace and you need to Subscribe to QardioMD to see anything further. Unfortunately QardioMD seems to be a closed shop for only doctors so we cannot get access. You can track Afib events on your Apple watch but as you can only send a 30 second trace by the time you get to it its too late.

Also if your symptomatic remembering to send a trace is a thing as well.

There is also the problem with access to your data, there is no way to access all your datapoints and only a Doctor can see the results via QardioMD I'm not sure what implications this has for GDPR but I think anyone should be able to download all their data.

This could potentially be a great product but given the price tag I would expect to "see everything" and I would not recommend buying this product unless You know what an ECG trace looks like or you have access to a medical professional to review the traces.

Seriously considering returning this at the moment as we cant see our data.

I tried to Speak to Qardio Customer support and Register with QardioMD. Here are the responses:

Customer Support
-----------------------

Thank you for contacting Qardio Support!

The Qardio App provides access to all available data recorded by QardioCore. Users can access the complete history of ECG recordings as well as their skin temperature, heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV, SDNN, RMSSD, LnRMSSD), and respiratory rate. Due to the size of this data and the power required to process it, ECG exports from within the Qardio App are limited to 30 seconds.

Diagnostic tools capable of identifying arrhythmias and similar cardiac events are limited to our clinical platform, QardioMD. This is to ensure results are not misinterpreted and to prevent self-diagnosis. QardioCore should be only used in conjunction with professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and not as a substitute or a replacement for it.

If you choose to share your Qardio health data with your doctor via QardioMD, they will have the option to order diagnostic reports and access other analytical tools. Unless you are connected to a healthcare provider on QardioMD, these reports and related diagnostic information is not generated nor stored.

I hope you find the information above helpful. I'm happy to address any other questions or concerns you may have!
Kind regards,
-------------------------------

The continuous ECG trace visible in the Qardio App is medical grade data. There is no analysis of this data beyond what is visible in the Qardio App (for example, whether HRV is within normal range) unless you give permission to a doctor to view it in QardioMD. Reports and related diagnostic information is neither generated nor stored unless that occurs. As such, there is no additional data to provide you.

We recommend speaking with your healthcare provider before beginning any new monitoring routine and state so on the QardioCore product page ("Please consult your doctor to see if QardioCore is right for you").

It's possible QardioCore is not the best product for you. It is entirely up to you if you choose to return it to the original retailer.

Thanks for your reply.
QardioMD is a subscription based software for licensed medical professionals. If you are a doctor or medical researcher, please let us know. I'll be happy to forward your request and have our sales managers provide further information.
Best,
--------------
I am posting this up as I feel anyone else who wants something like this should be informed as to its limited features and high price tag, I also doubt any NHS doctors would fork out for QardioMD. Its a shame this product has great potential, its really comfortable to weir but not really useful.
