If you want to do this corse and are worried that you don’t know how to cut hair, don’t worry jack is amazing and a great teacher. I’m only half way through my two week corse and I’m already doing fades on my own. Best decision I ever made doing this corse. Thanks jack!

I attended the course a while ago in Northampton. The first day we got there we were waiting outside the barber shop and the instructor turned up late and didn’t seem to care we were all waiting. They claim the course is”half price” but this has been the price for about 2 years now…during the two weeks there was hardly any models and most of the day we were sitting around chatting as they didn’t even provide head dolls to learn on. They claim you can learn other skills such as wet towel shave, in reality you see this done once by the instructor. Jake was no where to be seen but the instructor Chris did his best but agreed the course was badly organised. I tried to complain but told the lack of models was due to covid hence the “50% off” I think the course is a bit of a show and they care more about social media looks then anything else. I would go elsewhere. Another pet peeve is the majority of the reviews are from his own staff members, defiantly not a true representation.

Went to the course not knowing a thing about barbering, never even touched a clipper, but as soon as the second day there we was already cutting hair with the assistance of jack, which i cant thank enough for doing everything he has for everyone on the course. Thankyou quarters academy!! Highly recommend!

My wife purchased this course for me as I wanted to get into barbering. I was very pleasantly surprised, everyone on the course was really friendly and the teachers (Chris and Aaron at the time) I had were excellent. Very friendly, passionate and made you feel comfortable. Definitely made some new friends! The course was very easy to understand, they went through things step by step and nothing was too much trouble. I met Jake (owner) one day of the course and he was also very pleasant. I’m really glad I went on this course, it helped me determine that barbering was the career I wanted to get into. I’ve since gone on to further my education because personally I want to become an assessor in the future. You don’t have to go down this route, you will become shop ready as long as you listen and put the graft in! Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to learn the fundamentals and gain confidence. For the price you can’t go wrong!

As a student of QBA it's been exciting and an absolutely life changing experience for me personally. The amount I've learnt from jacks has been overwhelming but crucial to the pivotal point of finding work afterwards and progressing my career. The teachers have a great duty of care in assisting us reaching our goals.

I've really benefitted from learning at this academy, hope to continue to learn more and I feel like I am learning more as time goes by from my personal day to day . 100% recommended to anyone looking to start a new career in barbering /hairdressing.

Great course, so grateful got to cut on live models, Jake has set up a great structure, Jack is an unreal barber and teacher. Very laid back, great mixture of personalities, really enjoyed it, also made some friends for life. I have no opened my own barbershop!

Been to the course as it was exceptional to say the least! The staffs attention to detail was superb! I’ve left the course feeling competent and ready to start cutting hair!

I just want to make this very clear. This 5 star review is for my trainer JACK not Jake. To this day I haven't even met Jake. So all the pics and social media videos you see....the credit belong to the people Jake sends out to do all his work for him while he sits there raking it in.
Anyway Jack is the nicest guy I've ever met, totally professional, 100% supportive, and I feel like I really learned alot from him. After reading the negative reviews, I feel EXTREMELY lucky, that I ended up on the slot that I did. I'm so sorry for all the others that lost out, but I can assure you it's not down to the other tutors, mine was absolutely fabulous. I wish him to go far in life and for nothing but great things to happen to him. I suppose I can thank Jake as well actually.....'Thanks for introducing me to Jack.'

Do NOT book onto this course! went to Portugal on holiday on the day he was meant to be teaching our course. No equipment to practice on and no advertisement in place for free haircuts so no clients hair to cut. Charged £700 to sit in a chair in the academy for 2 weeks cutting no hair while Jake Hillery is posting videos on his Instagram doing balloons and ignoring phone calls from his staff who are asking for his help. AVOID at all costs. The guy cares more about his social media image than the barbering industry!

Attended the Birmingham academy in June. The trainer Aaron was very friendly, going in to a new career can be very daunting but Aaron eased any worries but explaining what it was like when he made the career move. After a week of the course jake the owner paid for a highly skilled hairdresser/barber trainer Tim come in from London who has years of industry experience. It was good to see how both trainers Aaron and Tim approached cuts differently but both came out with a high standard of cut. The facilities we good too, never working in a barber shop the academy gave you a real feel for what its like to work in a barber shop which make you even more keen to get in to the industry. The course is cheap but don't let that put you off, i researched courses all over the in both Scotland and England and nothing offer the same level of content. Would highly recommend!

Deposit paid for course - date and times changed which then included weekends and longer days which wasn’t acceptable as course was originally booked for specific dates, when schedule was agreed the company didn’t take into account bank holidays - would not refund, requested call back to discuss heard nothing - deposit lost. Found communication on telephone very abrupt and not forthcoming. Only correspondence received was to request payment! Would not recommend.
