We understand the concept of moving booking systems can be daunting. However, we do everything from importing bookings, training sessions and phone and video support so that you feel assured it's easy and not scary! We are so pleased to see that in addition to your lovely rooms, you have now brought your apartments to Q-Book, which are all up and running with our Channel Manager across the various OTA's. We've linked in agents like Airbnb, Booking.com, Google and Expedia so that all your bookings are central to Q-Book to save time, reduce admin and remove mistakes. Freeing up time to do what you do best - taking super good care of your guests :) It really is a walk in the park. We hope you love the simplicity of it :) As you'll know, we are currently redesigning our self-catering booking software from an online point of view. The idea behind the change is to present more options to your customers to drive as much direct revenue as possible to your properties. And by doing so, naturally encouraging as many direct commission-free online bookings as possible. Jump on the commission-free train and optimise what Q-Book has to offer. Choo choo!
Of course, the Q-Book team are always on hand to help you with new features, updates and anything you need.

Amazing product and customer care

Our hotel has operated using Q-Book for many years. The product is easy to use, efficient and time saving. Without going through all of its features it is easier to just say that it matches any other software on the market in terms of its core functions and including managing booking channels, reporting , EPOS intigration and managing aspects of our customers experiences such as. Communicating pre and post stay collecting reviews etc.
Where Q-Book has really shone has been their customer support. It feels more like ringing up a well informed friend for help ( one that picks up the phone within a couple of rings and doesn't have a horrible press this button for that phone system!) Over the years they have listened to their customers requests and continually improved their platform whether that be minor details that help a hotelier to run their day to day or adding integration to a EPOS system to keep accountants happy.
I suppose what is also relevant here is the cost, Q-Book is very cheap compared to many of its competitor's however it does not lack any functionality... In fact there are a number of more expensive systems that do not compare in terms of functionality and useability. I think what might sum this up is I have a customer who stays at our hotel who owns a competing company. Every time he stays here asks me if I will move across and I remind him that I am with Q-Book...
He generally shakes his head and walks away and has told me in the past that he doesn't know how they are able to ship such a good product at the price.

We're the same! When you call in, it's like speaking to one of our mates! Which, actually, over the years, you have become. Big love from Team QB! Time flies when you're having fun :) The Epos/Q-Book integration is a game-changer! From speaking with you, we know since the integration has been in place, you no longer have the conundrum of missed bills as Q-Book seamlessly receives drinks and meal bills against room types. Be gone those sneaky customers doing one with a freebie and trying to leg it out of the door ;) Thanks for highlighting our cost-effectiveness. We're trying to find the perfect balance between a fair pricing structure and awesome technology! Judging from your comments, it's looking like we've managed to achieve this. To which we are immensely proud. Whoever your competitor friend is, please do tell them we're sorry haha! However, we cannot ignore your loyalty and support and we cannot begin to express our gratitude to you. Here's to many more years of fantastic friendship and working relations. Qbook team is fantastic

I started using Qbook to handle bookings at my campsite, and it's been amazing! The Qbook team is fantastic. They're always available to help and answer my questions. They respond quickly pickup the phone and genuinely care about my business.

Qbook has had a big impact on our campsite's bookings. Our website is now much easier for guests to use. They can easily check which pitches are available and make direct bookings on our site. This smooth process has resulted in more people choosing to book directly with us.

Qbook has also made managing reservations much simpler. It also updates Pitchup in real-time, so we always know what's open. It sends automatic confirmation emails to guests, and we can handle multiple bookings simultaneously. This has reduced errors and saved us time on paperwork.

What a cracking first season you are having and, no doubt, the start of many! You have made excellent use of the Additional Services and are really maximising your direct revenue potential! Whoop whoop! Your selling firepits & logs, BBQ packs, extra car spaces - all manner of other things like nobody's business - you're doing a great job!
These extras generate more rev for your campsite and help you to prepare the perfect pitches for your upcoming guests. Only offering these extras for direct guests creates an incentive and reduces OTA dependency. Of course, we do understand that OTA's help as their highly recognised platforms lead to lots of visibility, promoting your campsite :)
Our Channel Manager creates a perfect balance between direct and OTA. Q-Book is a central hub, buzzing with booking activity. If you are interested, we can guide you on how to sync your account with Hipcamp, Campsites.co.uk, Airbnb and many more. As you know already, all our integrations are free of charge. You'll only pay 20pence a booking - bargain! Once again, a big thank you for your review, it means so much to the Q-Book team. Happy Q-Booking :)

Totally love all the gang at Q-books

Totally love all the gang at Q-books. As soon as I call them they know me by name and are instantly helpful. I particularly love the way they have time for each individual. If I don’t know how to do something they patiently guide me through the process, not like other channels that tell you quickly then hang up on you, these guys talk you through each presses.

They are so good that all of Garfield road in Paignton B&Bers use Q-Books and chat about them in the pub, saying how helpful and useful they all are. “Its like phoning a friend” is a common phrase.

Would recommend Q-Books to anyone.

Unfortunately and crazily, it's rare to speak to a human on the phone nowadays. We're dead-set on keeping our customer service bob on. 1) Being accessible. 2) Being familiar. 3) Always having a good chinwag while sorting anything you need help with. If we're ever in your neck of the woods, we'll come and join you all down at the pub and make a night of it. We must warn you; we can sup a beer or two ;) Transitioning from one booking system to another can sometimes prove difficult. However, you have taken to Q-Book like a duck to water and adjusted brilliantly. All the team are delighted that you and your property B&B By The Sea, are already riding the commission-free train and generating direct website bookings! It makes us giddy! It's a joy to see that you are not 100% reliant on OTA giants - we got you! We're constantly updating Q-Book with clever bits of tech to help drive as much direct revenue your way. As you know, all advancements to Q-Book come at zero cost (no shady add-ons). So. No matter how many bookings you get, where they come from or how large the value, our fees will always stay the same :)

We paid for a 12 month subscription in…

We paid for a 12 month subscription in advance for a Queensborough Group website which was Incorporated with the Q Book system. The website design/template template at first glance looks good and passable and not being computer/website minded we was personally under the illusion that this website would suit our purpose and needs for what we wanted it to do, how wrong we was. When counting the amount of people we diverted to the website it came to hundreds of people most of the people and let us say 99.9% came back to us and found it extremely difficult to make a booking on the system, international card transactions in particular proved impossible for people wanting to book. In the full year we think we took six or maybe seven reservations in a 12 month period. Sophie - Amy and Jonathan the employees of this company were helpful and we have no issues with the staff, however paying for this service was a regrettable experience to say the least. QBook constantly on every conceivable occasion kicked us off the system and annoyingly we had to log back on when we wanted to edit/amend the calendar, all we used this website for was to manually input information/reservations that we took on the calendar. Personally we say this with no ill intent, or grievance or any axe to grind, we are speaking from a personal experience we encountered. This website and the service is definitely 100% not worth the money in our opinion. We employ a IT person from India and he described the site as ancient/the dinosaur website. Maybe it works for other people but I've read some of the older reviews and they are disappointing. We can also see recent positive reviews but from our experience it's hasn't been good. Please consider other options before committing yourself to this company. I'm sure there are more people other than ourselves who have had this experience.

Our team especially appreciate your kind words about Amy, Jon and Sophie - thank you for recognising their efforts - we're lucky to have them :) Anybody who reads your review will be able to relate to the struggle with mandatory, unavoidable 3DS security, where customers have to validate and authenticate online payments. 3DSecure has thrown the crooks a curveball; the benefits outweigh the negatives - reducing fraud and protecting folks!
However, whilst with good intentions, for you and your fellow accommodation providers, this proves to be less than desirable. We provide the tools to help in this situation in the form of handy payment links etc.
Please note! We use SAGE as our third-party Payment Gateway which is, without doubt, one of the most, if not the most, recognised and trusted Payment Gateway in our industry and many others. 3Dsecure is doing what it's supposed to be doing; obstructing payments that aren't authenticated!
Where your customers have failed to authorise an online payment is unfortunate and should not be mistaken as a software fault. We get it! It's a headache, and we sympathise - genuinely. But, Q-Book doesn't deserve the blame here. Hey ho! We understand your frustration and hope that your guests have more luck in the future, which they will as more and more online transactions globally and in all marketplaces will require authentication.
The website. We have provided websites for over twenty years, to thousands of customers, without disappointment, hence our positive reviews (thankyou for acknowledging). We always keep up with new technology to meet the demands and expectations of browsers. However, if we're missing something, please feel free to share some more informative and constructive critiques from your IT Person. We'll take it on the chin and implement their suggestions. If the feedback is relevant and viable - we'll suck it up and crack on!! One thing to mention. As you didn't use analytics on the website (though the option was available), it's difficult to gauge (some may say impossible but we're optimistic) to determine actual website visits. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink (if it got there in the first place). Lastly! Logging in. As with all professional software containing sensitive information, we will 'time out' a user session for your protection.

Q book - excellent functionality and service/support

We have been using the Q book booking system, and as well as being very easy to use, it also offers every functionality you could hope for. The addition of the automated mail system for confirmations/balance payments etc etc will saves me hours of work every day - a real life saver.
The phone support and the training given has been well above expectations, with fantastic support and great people on the other end of the phone.

24 HOURS NOTICE TO CUT YOU OFF

been with them from 2018 left in 2020. come back in 2022 . up to 2 weeks again i would have given then a 5 but all as gone wrong. Jonathan is AMAZING .great customer services. after overbooking me last week then again this week and next week i got 5 people in one room.(that i do not have) I would lose it with support. Expedia sent me a bill for 101.00 to re-locate guest. i ask what is going on was told it was expedia error. talk to expedia was told it was queenbought error. going around in circle. I ask to leave told no. sent them a bill for the cost incurred, was call yestoday and told would be cut off in 24 hours that 5pm today. 24 hours notice not a lot of notice but they are giving me my money back. be carefull with hidden charges. great business sense 24 hours noice to cut you off.

We are lucky to have him; he is integral to our customer service & technical department and many other areas of Q-Book; he's an all-rounder! Unfortunately, you decided to depart Q-Book because you were unhappy about the transaction fees incurred using our optional Secure Payment Gateway. Details about this optional service were regularly communicated, completely transparent and relayed to you before signing up both verbally and in writing. In addition, this information was re communicated at the point of going live with the Q-Book system and activation of the Channel Manager. This product is optional; we do not force you to commit to this or any other additional service. We understand each business trades differently. Therefore, we give you the option to undertake any service that enables you to operate your best practice. Separately, the overbooking you refer to is the direct result of a configuration error that you had created within Expedia. The issue here is that you linked a five-person occupancy against a room type which only supports four. This isn’t a system/technical error but, in fact, an oversight at your end. Absolutely no criticism and we take no pleasure in denying responsibility but, this was your manual error that unfortunately escalated into an overbooking. After investigation, we quickly and eagerly provided a full explanation and showed you how to rectify the problem. Off the back of this and your unhappiness about optional transaction fees, we understood that you no longer wanted to continue with Q-Book and processed a 100% refund to you, despite using Q-Book for seven months. After your discussion with Paul, we gave you 24 hours' notice to gather information from the system. We carefully took your forward bookings into consideration and provided a reasonable and fair time-frame. If you need any information from Q-Book or would like to discuss this in any more detail, please feel free to contact us. From the team, we wish you and Habberly House all the very best in your future endeavours. Take good care. We hope you have a lucrative season and wish you every success in the future.

Major Security Issues

They have taken 3 months of promises to have an integration with pitchup. Now that it's there, they can only connect if I share my username and password with them rather than the API key. Totally insecure and downright shoddy.

Hi Kris, thank you for your review. We take all feedback seriously and attempt to transform any negative into a positive! Firstly, we're sorry that our relationship with you was short and perhaps not sweet? Not usual practice, we assure you. You joined us in mid-February. What came next was our Pitchup/Q-Book two-way API integration finalised in early March. You joined us as we entered the camping market (which we love) but, as a result of thorough extra testing, we did experience a couple of weeks' delay. Sorry about this! Jane reached out to you March 11th to sync Q-Book to pitchup but didn't manage to reach you. Alternatively, she emailed you but didn't hear back from you until May 5th via ticket. The time-line described does clearly highlight that any delay, respectfully - was not on our part, with the exception of the early weeks in March, to which we hold our hands up! Aside from the delay, we recognise that you raise a valid point about the API keys and the onboarding process. So much so that we immediately contacted Pitchup to pose the question of reconfiguring the onboarding process, in line with your reluctance to share log-in information, which we agree had room for improvement. Please understand that our onboarding process depends entirely on the instruction of Pitchup. Where we asked you for log-in information to onboard, is us following their instructions and nothing else. We don't think shoddy is a fair description of Q-Book, but you are entitled to your opinion. We're an adaptable company that listens to our customers without hesitating to make quick-wins and improvements where possible. Despite our differences, all the Q-Book team wish you a lucrative season ahead. Take care and best of luck in the future.

Hi Pauline. Thanks for your kinds words about the Q-Book Team. We cannot begin to thank you enough for the last 15 years and for allowing us to take care of your reservations and website. Together, we have seen so many changes within our industry; we have adapted together. We thank you for trusting our evolving software and practices to keep up with the fast-moving hospitality pace! Remember the good old days when just a vacancy sign in the window was enough?? It seems bizarre in today's times! As you can anticipate, things will always change. Who knows what will be the new norm in another 15 years? As retirement beckons, all the team here would like to wish you all the very best. Top notch service

Top notch service - no query too small to answer. Great team helped build my website. For someone very non techi their help was extremely grateful and so patient!
Service afterwards still super and ongoing.

Hiya Sue. Thanks so much for your review and special mention for Sophie and Paul. Paul is the chap who designed your website and transported your emails over. He paid special attention so that your migration was seamless; he's a good egg when it comes to this stuff! We're delighted that you took us up on our offer of a responsive and editable website. It makes such a difference to have the freedom to make changes to your website, instead of having to consult a designer and wait for them to make alterations (usually involves expense too)! Now that you have unlimited access to your website, you can make as many adjustments as you like. Be warned! It does get quite addictive when you get into the swing of it! Even though the functionality is there for you to make adjustments yourself, it goes without saying that we're always on hand if you need it. Here's to a super staycation season! Hopefully, a surge in direct booking activity due to your website makeover. Enjoy :) Happy Q-Booking & Web editing! Team Q-Book.

I have used qbooks for the last 2.6…

I have used qbooks for the last 2.6 years and in this time have found them to be very helpful and professional and would not hesitate to use them again if I go back into this industry. A huge Thank you to all the Staff.

Pre-Pandemic, when you could take bookings, your calendar was always full to the brim. Impressively, a high percentage being commission-free online bookings! We get exceptionally giddy when we see that our Q-Bookers are generating revenue without the sting of commission! Of course, Covid hit and, now you have moved onto pastures new. Good luck in your future. If you do decide to dip your toe into the pool of hospitality once more, we'd love to work with you again. A first class service.

A We have dealt with Queensborough for a number of years now. Firstly using Qbook, and then for our website. They have been amazing in helping us overcome our technical issues and we have appreciated all the assistance.
We can definitely recommend their services.

Queensborough are a great company to…

Queensborough are a great company to work with. We recently switched from another booking system provider and, having viewed many of the competitor systems, have been more than impressed by the hands on support of the team and most importantly the product itself. QBook is easy to navigate and has increased our office efficiency greatly.

Amazing Customer Service!

We had a rush of bookings and a lot of staff were trying to gain access to the website at once and were putting in wrong passwords. I emailed QBook Support and got a call back instantly.
They also linked our B&B and Hotel so we can toggle to each one much more easily.
Thank you for all of your help!
Recommend highly!

We hate the idea of you being left in the lurch and without access to valuable booking information. It's very encouraging that you had a flurry of bookings; very welcomed after what seems the craziest year ever! Toggling between accounts (Quick Switch) has proven to be a godsend for our customers and simplifies day-to-day processes. It works whether you have two properties or two hundred. Of course, it's free of charge to use and another string to our bow when it comes to making your life easier! Something that you may also find helpful is Q-Book User Permissions. This functionality decides what level of access within Q-Book a staff member is allowed. For example, you may want your front of house staff to access the calendar/latest bookings but not access transaction/income information. Now that two properties are connected, you'll probably find this invaluable. One of the team will be in touch with more details to help you get up and running. Again, it's free to use! All the Q-Book team wish the very best with reopening the property once again. We've got good vibes about the season and are expecting the highly anticipated staycation boom! Reliable and cost effective partner

I have used Queensborough group for 20+ years. Their level of customer service has always been excellent. We are now retiring, otherwise we could have stayed with Queensborough. When everything moved to more and more online bookings we used their channel manger via Q-Book which I found to always be reliable and very easy to use. The reports I could access are also very helpful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for B&B businesses.
