Used for years and very happy.
I have been using Quickfile for many years now, as I run four small businesses from home, and find it perfect for my needs. I can no longer use the free version, as I am now above their threshold, but even so, it really is inexpensive considering what it does. It ticks all the boxes for me, and I plan to keep using it. I would happily recommend this to any small business or sole trader. It's well worth it.

This is a basic accounting system that is relatively inexpensive. It has worked well for me over the last year. My only complaint is that although it holds stock items with their prices, I've not yet found a way of reporting the volumes sold by item over any given period. If you need to report sales volumes and stock levels by item this may not be the system for you. However for what I need it has been good.

QuickFile does everything i need for a small start-up company - its easy to use, good at tracking banking transactions and tracking income / expenditure.. best part is its way lower cost than some of the similar products out there.. we love it.

Quick and easy
Takes a bit of getting used to but once you’ve linked your bank account or uploaded a csv file it’s just a question of allocating transactions. If you’re familiar with bookkeeping you can do the year end stuff via manual journals. You can export the accounts as csv files to tinytax.co.uk and have them submitted to companies house and HMRC for free. Much quicker than manual entry. The whole year end process and submissions took less than half an hour for me.

Absolute crap!
Absolute unusable crap! Especially for landlords! It doesn’t recognise fees as an expense; you need to add a minus in front. After two hours of community and AI help, I still can't assign earnings to a specific property! Don't waste your time!

Any rental income or expenses can be linked to a project tag in QuickFile to generate property-level reports. When you add a property in a Landlord account, QuickFile automatically creates a corresponding project for it. The project’s Profit & Loss report provides an isolated statement showing the income and expenses for that specific property.
If your letting agent issues a single monthly statement (e.g. rent received, management fees, and sundry expenses), there are several ways to record this in QuickFile. I’ve asked my colleague to review your account and provide you with some tailored guidance.
