An honest opinion.
I found the whole experience great, the ease of filling in the questions, how everything followed on was easy for an old timer like me, the cost of my insurance was par for the course but the extras makes it worth it. The R.A.C is a company that has been going for years so is trustworthy. I am happy to be with them.

It was time for renewal and my premium…
It was time for renewal and my premium had gone up by £100, I questioned this and was told"nothing they can do, it's general insurance costs" so I changed insurers. Went back to the RAC renewal to decline the offer and suprise suprise they came back with a £70 discount to keep my business. Too bloody late I had already signed up with another company!!!!!
Why can't these companies just give their best price on the day and stop profiteering

Good insurance cover, Poor breakdown cover.
Woulh have given a better rating due to excellent car insurance and good prices however did have RAC breakdown which let it down tremendously.
Required roadside assist but the phone app requested me to call instead, said call was never taken as nobody answered after many hours trying, eventually paid for local low loader to pick up and transfer to nearest garage at cost of over £400

All good here, I messed up declaring a claim the system spotted the error and I had the option of paying £30 or whatever it was or I could cancel the policy, certain insurance companies H would have had a fit adding on the difference and possibly cancelled it for my mistake, that's why I will 💯 use RAC insurance again, fair sensible and understanding as it should be.

Avoid if you don’t want add ons
You can’t speak to anyone, just chat. The RAC app doesn’t work with RAC Insurance. Too many add ons. Aviva who I was with last year which included RAC Breakdowns were brilliant and you could talk to a human. Not impressed !!!
