Ordered books in July and every time I…

Ordered books in July and every time I follow up it is the same excuse about waiting on the suppliers. This is becoming very suspicious. The website is never updated regarding your order and no correspondence is sent unless I follow up from my side.
I will NEVER order for them again.

They stopped delivering and they…

They stopped delivering and they conveniently stopped answering calls as well. I ordered a figure in March, almost 7 months on I still don't have it. Also what baffles me is that very figure was labelled as back in stock just a few weeks ago. I've emailed the complaints department a few times and they give me the same sorry excuses. They used to be legit, now they are just scammers. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY.

Same as everyone else

in the same boat as everyone, ordered an item last month, delivery date came and went, emailed them and received the same thing everyone on here has, how they are waiting on the supplier.

Eventually asked for a refund, was told refund times are around a month, opted for store credit, ordered something else that was meant to ship today, have heard nothing.

i emailed again but i expect i will receive the exact info from the first time. a real shame as they used to be a great business. I would be more than willing to give the benefit of the doubt if they came out and explained why they are having all these issues but it seems they would prefer to keep taking peoples money knowing they can not commit to delivering the items.

Do not buy from them anymore, you will lose your money and will struggle to get it back.

Preparing to open case with SAPS.

After many weeks and delays I finally cancelled my order and requested a refund. I got the usual runaround about it taking time to issue a refund. Not acceptable. I approached my bank and opened a dispute resolution. What a convoluted process that I will probably pay for.

So I have decided to compile a docket and lodge a charge with SAPS.

So far I have the following information.

Business address.
Banking details.
Web hosting provider.
VAT number (for SARS).
List of complaints on Trustpilot, Hellopeter and Mybroadband.co.za.
Names of 8 senior employees (but not email or phone numbers)
Screenshots of Raru website.
Email correspondence with Raru.

I cannot find the companies registration number: Spoiler Tags (Pty) Ltd t/a Raru.

If anyone can provide additional information that would be great.

RARU has become a scam site

Like so many other people here, I placed an order this year that was delayed for long enough that I had to ask for a refund. The refund process has been repeatedly delayed with cut-and-paste replies. It doesn't seem like they are following through on deliveries or refunds for anyone, but they continue to take payments.

This used to be a good service but seems to have turned into a scam site. Don't waste your money on it.

Do not buy from this site.
I placed and order over 12 weeks ago, cancelled the order after items where 3 weeks late on delivery and I am still waiting to receive my refund after 7 weeks.
This site can not be trusted and they do not communicate with their customers.
Do not buy from them because it is a waste of your time and money.

Bad experience the last few months

I started using RARU in 2018 for dvd's and blu ray , as I'm an horror movie collector , everything went really well in the last 4 years , most of my collection I have bought from them , but starting in January of this year , several orders have taken months to arrive ,when I asked them about it they told me it was due to the CoVID pandemic and the restrictions it caused on imported goods. I have had to cancel several orders and reorder other items as they use the funds as credit on your profile refunds takes 15 days! Really don't know what happend to them . I now have no choice but to wait for the items to arrive . After this I am done with them , I'd rather use Loot who I have never had a bad experience with or I'll import the items myself from Amazon

Please stay away from them.

Please guys. I implore you do not buy from this company. They are really a bunch of thieves to put it mildly. Placed an order and waited 6 months for the stock to arrive. Gave the same copy and paste reply when you asked them about it. Asked them for a refund now I have to wait 10-15 working days for the money to be paid back. After this time has passed they now say I have to wait 30 days. Cannot even phone them because the don't answer the phone. Covid restrictions in place? No they just don't want the customers to contact them because they cannot copy and paste a response when you talk to them directly.

Refund not received for items…

Refund not received for items advertised as available and they never were. The Ombudsman is working on my case now, but it's a pattern of Raru's not to give money back when they deliver. Many complaints online so be careful as they can take your money with no intention of refunding. Search Raru on Hellopeter and mybroadband sites to see the chaos.

I ordered a graphics card for them for…

I ordered a graphics card for them for 13k, they could deliver when they were suppose to so i cancelled, been a month now and i am still awaiting a refund. i though it is strange until i see their reviews. lots of other people in the same boat, looks like they scamming us all just for us to put money in their account otherwise their would be no problem refunding us

RARU, where's my REFUND?

Ordered an item on 2nd Mar 2022. Due to numerous excuses, I cancelled it on 5th July 2022. I am still awaiting my refund. A lady by the name of Bronwynne responds with the same statement each time I request feedback on my refund.

Upon viewing your profile we note that you on ** working days since refund was requested and acknowledge. Our refunds process time is 15 working days however we are currently experiencing high volumes of requests and may exceed the normal process time. We ask you please bare with us we will ensure your request is processed. Sincere apologies for the delay of your refund.

Do yourself a favor and spend you money somewhere else.

Atrocious delivery times

Atrocious delivery times. Ordered items in October 2021 to-date (July 2022) still not delivered. If you can find the item elsewhere eg loot, takealot or koodoo I would try there first. Raru should be your absolute last resort!

Raru is closing down

Raru is closing down. They are only taking orders to get your money. Once you place an order you wait 2 months and then never receive your items. When you cancel the order and demand your refund, your told it will take 2 weeks. After 2 weeks your meet with automated messages. Raru has become a scam site, taking your money to try stay afloat. Go to amazon or takealot rather. Stay away no matter who good the special looks.

DO NOT SUPPORT RARU!

Do not use Raru. This website's sole purpose is to steal your money! I have now multiple orders with them, and the items are just getting cancelled with credit applied to your profile. When you request a refund they provide you with a generic response. Even after the 15 working day period, my refund is not reflecting. One item that I ordered in September 2021 has not arrived as yet. When you ask Raru, they respond with a generic response. Complete, utter, useless and absolute pathetic service. If I could give a lower rating that one star, then I would have! DO NOT SUPPORT RARU!
