I have personal investments and Trust funds managed by Justin Armet of Rathbones. He inspires confidence as a portfolio manager, he explains investments clearly in our meetings, and he or his colleagues are always available on email. My Rathbones investments have performed very well.

Justin Armet at Rathbones has supervised my investments for many years, and also looked after my father's until his death in August 2024. Thanks to his care my savings and my share of the inheritance added up to enough for me to buy a new home outright, giving me a fresh start in life with no burden of debt.

I was originally with Investec and was very pleased with their culture. Now they have merged with Rathbones and I haven't noticed any adverse changes. That culture involves a personal approach, getting to know each client, their situation financially and family-wise. Of course what matters in the end is what they can deliver in returns and so far that has not disappointed. They also offer advice on what to do about issues like gifting to family members and so on which are very important. I have dealt mainly with Hector Falconer and Douglas Spence and would thoroughly recommend their people-first approach.
