Company failure to deliver

We have been waiting 16 weeks for a delivery of an Egg chair, we have received every excuse under the sun for not supplying.

Shocking

Shocking, we have been given no delivery date, no communication, nothing!
In hindsight I should have read some reviews, I will never buy anything that pops up on Facebook again.

Proceed with caution - misleading promotions

Purchased a garden furniture set from Rattan Hut for £1799. This should have come with a free egg chair and cover set. Apparently as I used a promotional code at checkout this then removed the free items BUT at no point was I notified at point of purchase this would happen. Finally got to speak to customer support who were extremely rude and when I asked why so many other people on social media was mentioning the same thing the lady said they made the same mistake I did! Rattan Hut said I could have the egg chair and cover set if I paid back the discount back (£50) and £100 delivery charge!! Be very wary of this company. To be fair the furniture set is really good but it’s a shame they don’t give you the freebies they promise.

These lot have got to be scammers

shame i cant leave a zero, because that is what they are worth, do not part with your hard earned money to these people i have had no proof yet that they are even genuine, we placed an order in April and we have had nothing but excuses and promises which do not materialise, we will be asking for a full refund but not sure how that will go down with this lot and i wont hold my breath as i dare say i would suffocate.

Worst customer service or a scam?

Placed an order 4 weeks ago for garden furniture set. I have heard nothing about the order or delivery since. I have tried contacting this company via email, phone and chat on website - with no response. I am actually unsure if this is just the worst customer service ever or if the site is a scam at this point but strongly advise against using this company. I am having to claim back the the money I have spent via credit card charge back.

Delivery experience not good

Furniture was 24 hours late after I waited in all day.
One item was missing.
Impossible to get through on phone but luckily they chased my missed call and have said they'll send the missing item
I'm about to email but still haven't had a reply to an email I sent 2 June. (Update: it's now 14 June, no reply)
Furniture seems good but it took a few hours to assemble which was a surprise.

Missing item not received and no further updates.
Update 14 June
Just downgraded this to 1 star
They phoned this week!!!! Could only tell me my missing item had not left the warehouse. Not much use. Still waiting

AWFUL SCAM COMPANY

Please stay away from this company!
I ordered the Cheltenham set back in February 2023 with the fire put table and from the time of order to date I'm STILL having issues!!!
From the order being incomplete,to cushions being ruined, parts missing, the egg chair arriving weeks later and a fire pit table that doesn't work!!
I sent numerous emails about the firepit table and all they ever did was send me the same video over and over again!! Family and friends ( 7 in total) have had the table taken apart and rebuilt and no one can get it to work!
I emailed this awful company to ask for a replacement last year and guess what...NEVER heard back!!!
Due to serious health issues I've had to pick my battles and I've resigned myself to the fact I lost £3000 on poorly made,shoddy garden furniture.
Yesterday I received an email from them asking me to send a positive review as they had received some reviews claiming they were a scam company! I told them they should look at our past conversations and realise I am one of their (many) customers they have failed.
My advice...save your hard earned cash and DO NOT use this company.
I'm £3000 out of pocket with poorly made garden furniture and an unusable fire pit table!!!!!!

This ppl are unbelievable after putting me in alot of stress waiting for 4 months for my delivery and then was sent sofa but no covers then an other month for covers to come I tried for 3 months calling no answer they won't answer emails and gues what today they have the cheek to ask me to give them 5 star as they review s ar fals lol u as company are fals u still haven't apologised to me yet can't believe u asking for 5 star. Any costumer can try and prove me wrong. Call them call they number It doesn't work they ar scum

delayed delivery but great once arrived

I placed my order with Rattan Hut on 03/04/2024 for the Cheltenham set with free egg chair and cover. Delivery was estimated on 6th-10th May 2024. A few days before this I was emailed to say the delivery was delayed until the end of May. I was starting to get concerned after reading reviews about this company.

Anyway, on 24th May 2024 my furniture was delivered following a dispatched email on 22nd May. The free egg chair and furniture cover also arrived and the quality of everything is amazing. The egg chair is very comfy and the sofas are lovely and deep.

I would still recommend this company and would have given 5 stars had there not been the 2 weeks delay making it almost 2 months until my furniture arrived after ordering.

Pergola screen broke

The screen of the pergola is not working at all
After several months the screen of the pergola cracked making it extremely difficult to function property , one side of my screen even broke up.
I have emailed Rattan hut 3 times but still no action taken.
Not to mention their late delivery at first (3 months delay) but now I found their product quality is extremely poor.

Please walk away from this company to avoid disappointment!!

Honest mixed review

I’ve had a very mixed experience to be honest. I ordered the 8 piece Cheltenham set with fire pit about 7 months ago with covers and a free parasol. I found the whole payment/confirmation a bit strange so I started to read reviews on here and I was mortified!! I was convinced my order wasn’t going to come and it was a huge scam.
I contacted them and they reassured me my order would be delivered. My order eventually came, but was weeks after it should have come. However, the covers and the parasol weren’t delivered. Back onto contacting them and I was promised they would come, but as time went on it was apparent they weren’t coming. I kept asking for a refund for the covers but that never came either, so I went through my bank and got the covers refunded…still no parasol ever turned up!
I’ve been waiting for the weather to get nicer before putting up the furniture, as stated, it’s been boxed up in the garage for months so I was convinced there would be parts missing, not as advertised etc.
We put it up yesterday and all I can say is wow! All parts etc were there and it looks amazing, I am so happy with it. I must have been one of the lucky ones (although never got my covers or parasol). I ordered a cover for it from Amazon for £40 and fits perfectly set up in the U shape formation.
I would have never ordered had I read reviews first, but worked out alright in the end for me and I am really happy with the set.

Buy from Rattan Hut and hope nothing goes wrong because it is impossible to get hold of them

We bought furniture from Rattan Hut a year ago, and included with it the waterproof covers specifically designed for the furniture. We opened up the furniture two weeks ago and all of the cushions had gone mouldy, the zips had fused together and could not be opened and the inside of the cushions were also mouldy. We contacted Rattan Hut on 15th April, and we received an answer from a Michael Anderson the following day requesting more information and photographs, which we sent back the same day. Since that time, we have sent emails, and tried to phone the help number on multiple occasions. There has been no response to our email and when you try and phone the call centre 0203 411 6904 and you hold on for a minute after choosing an option, then automatically get cut off. We tried half a dozen times. We are very disappointed with the level of service, as we paid a lot of money for the furniture. We need the cushions issue to be resolved, and we need an answer from Rattan Hut. If we can get some form of update and response urgently I would be happy to review my rating that I have given, but right now it is very poor service.

I wished I had read the reviews first

I wished I had read the reviews first, I have been trying to contact them to rearrange the delivery, and I keep getting cut off when I try phoning, the live chat is a joke as they don't chat?
I just hope I can get an answer from the email, probably not as I asked a question and that took 2 weeks to reply.

Good experience and looks great!

Ordered the Cheltenham 8 seater set at the start of March and took delivery early April. I have no issues with the delivery being slightly later than estimated and every time I contacted Rattan Hut by phone or e-mail they always got back to me the same day. Delivery arrived palletised as scheduled by the courier 24 hours prior, and everything was packaged perfectly - no damage to boxes at all and everything was in perfect condition. All now assembled and looks great. I would recommend.

I am writing this review as I do not want any other trusting customers being fobbed off in the way that I have been with this organisation. It doesn't look like I am the only customer to have experienced this either.
When placing my order in late summer for garden furniture I was told the item was not in stock but that the deposit was required to secure the item. Fair enough. I was then chased to pay for the item in full which we did on the understanding that our furniture would be with us shortly after. I sent multiple emails and communicated through Chat on this and was repeatedly reassured this was the case.
I then had to start to chase as to when I could expect the furniture and was advised (bearing in mind I chased and was not proactively told) that the furniture was out of stock and no longer possible through the company and was offered an alternative which I declined. I asked for the money back...and asked...and asked...and asked. As of yesterday still not received, all very apologetic, no action and what an insult to be offered a £50 voucher as way of compensation to shop with them again!! Appalling. Our money has sat in their account for over 6 months. I had to chase on status. I had to chase on refund and I am now in a position where we are now in Spring, I don't have any garden furniture and I am STILL waiting for the money to purchase elsewhere. Shame on you.

Fast delivery from rattan hut. Our Cheltenham set got delivered in the same week of ordering along with our free egg chair which we are extremely happy with. The set is exceptionally high quality. Highly recommend.
