I bought Tomato glasses for my 5 year old son from Rawlings Opticians in Croydon and have been really impressed with the service, both during the initial fitting and afterwards.

Choosing glasses with him wasn't straightforward — he didn’t want to sit still and had little interest in trying frames on. I was starting to feel stressed, but the staff completely changed the atmosphere. They were patient, warm and funny, put both of us at ease, and helped us make the right choice without making the experience feel pressured.

The aftercare has been just as good. Since purchasing them, my son has damaged the glasses twice: once, a lens came out, and another time, the nose pads broke. Both times, his dad walked in, and the team sorted them out for us.

That level of service is especially appreciated when buying glasses for a young child, because you know accidents will happen! I’ve felt very well looked after from purchase through to repairs and would happily recommend Rawlings Croydon to other parents.

My eye test at Rawlings was very comprehensive and the optometrist, Chi Lam, took the time to understand my needs. The prescription and advice was carefully considered.
After five years of good use of my existing two pairs of glasses (multi focal and reading) which I also got from Rawlings, the test showed it was time for both to be replaced.
When trying on the new glasses it was evident that neither were meeting my needs as well as they could. After trying them for a few days, Hanna took the time to understand exactly what I was experiencing and drew on her knowledge to weigh up and explain a number of options to deal with the problems. I did not feel rushed or pressured to make decisions.
The result is that I am very satisfied with the revised new glasses. Well done to Rawlings and especially Hanna!

Had earwax removed and was delighted with the professional and friendly service received. The room used was clean and well equipped and I could clearly see from the before and after pictures that all earwax had been removed. My hearing was substantially improved in both ears at a very competitive price. Would thoroughly recommend Rawlings for this service.

I went to Rawlings for ear wax removal. I was impressed by the courtesy call I received the day before my appointment and the service from both the receptionist and the lady carrying out the procedure. She explained in detail what to expect and was friendly and professional throughout the appointment.

The Receptionists are polite and helpful. The optician listened to me carefully, understood the issues and followed up immediately.

How refreshing! From the moment I walked in I felt welcome. No pushy sales pitching assistant. The eye test by Helen was thorough and well carried out. Helen explained things not even done by the hospital. I was passed over to Ursula, the Dispensing Optometrist, who asked what the glasses were for. I explained the I wanted them mainly for Archery and driving. She recommended several pairs, but we thought the first were the best choice. I've dealt with Rawlings previously, before my eye surgery and was so enamoured I'm happy to return.

I have been a customer with Rawlings Opticians in Caterham for a number years now and highly recommend them. When Rawlings introduced their Enhanced Hearing Test I decided to book an appointment and I’m so glad I did. Michael the Audiologist conducted the test. His level of professionalism and expertise is second to none. Michael provided a full explanation of the results enabling me to make an informed decision about my next steps. I knew before the appointment that I was likely to need hearing aids which, I must admit, I felt apprehensive about. Michael explained the options available and gave me time to go away and make my decision, completely without any pressure, which I appreciated. I am now the wearer of discreet hearing aids that I can honestly say have made an enormous difference, particularly in social settings. Thank you Michael for your expert care and attention.

My first visit to Rawlings, wish I had made the change-over years ago! Very efficient and friendly - Kim my optician made me feel at ease and didn't rush my appointment at all. No pressure to purchase reading glasses after the appointment as I have experienced with other opticians!

The staff were very kind, welcoming and professional.

Took my broken glasses frame into the Croydon branch and they arranged a replacement of the frame front in a 2-3 days, saving some money by not having to replace the arms which were fine.

I have been a customer of Rawlings Winchester for decades, and I really appreciate the personal service, from reception staff, optician and help with suitability and fitting of frames. There's a good range of frame styles and colour, and I'm especially pleased with my latest pair. Thank you, team.
