MISSING TORQUE CONVERTER

We as TL MOTORS Ordered an Automatic Transmission for a 16 BMW X5. We received the A/T on time and in good packing, but it was missing the Torque converter, I called the customer care without response for several time. I called the sales as a new customer and asked for the same A/T and checked for the torque converter the sales rep. confirmed it should come with torque converter, then I asked for the price of the torque converter he stated that Reman Trans. do not sell it alone. So please to respond to our claim and let us know the status. Gaby Ama . TL Motors, CA.

Not good

Transmission lasted 1 month and the torque converter started to shutter. It's been at the garage for 3 weeks waiting for a replacement Transmission that im told is shipped out to me but never shows up. The 6th of October the shop had it set to change out but trans did not show up. So now its the 20th for the switch out if the transmission makes it by then. I have to pay all the bill up front for the working they will pay $50 a hour of the $100 it cost me per hour. And I have to pay for new radiator,cooler and lines again out of my pocket. Not happy at all.

They don’t follow state guidelines

They don’t follow state guidelines, nor do they disclose what state guidelines are. My state requires the installer to warranty the product, not reman. Therefore, no reputable transmission shop will install this. I would expect that since you are selling these, you would know what the rules are you need to follow. They want over $1,000 restocking fee for something that is untouched and still in the crate. I will contact the state and see how you folks fair with them. Honestly, you folks had an opportunity to right your wrong, but you chose to hide behind emails and pretend you’re not wrong. Good luck when the state contact you.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY
IT IS NOT WORTH THE STRESS NOR THE HARDSHIP THEY WILL CAUSE YOU.
Here is a follow up:
They sent me a broken transmission - told me I would get a refund after it was picked up- it got sent back on 09-19-25.
Today is October 6th, 2025, and i still don’t have my refund.
They made it clear to me I would have to send it back in order to be refunded. Cool. I understand that. That makes perfect sense. What doesn’t make sense is the amount of time that has passed between the return and the fact that I still haven’t been refunded.

I just want to be refunded and to sever the ties.

I should’ve never done business with them in the first place.

I have documentation where they’re refusing to answer my calls, and respond to emails.

At this point I want to go to the legal route.

It has been nothing but a headache with this company from day 1.
First there was a shipping issue where I had to pay an additional $63 for shipping to the correct address AFTER they confirmed no extra expenses because it was in “ inspection phase. “ Yet, they turned around and called me asking for more money because their shipping department and customer service department do NOT communicate.

Then I finally get the unit to the correct house and it’s completely damaged. Cannot be used. Cannot be installed. Thankful that my mechanic did an inspection before installation. Atleast someone actually inspected it.

I have now been without my truck since August 29th,2025. Again, it’s October 6th, 2025.

But here we are almost $1600+ between shipping fees and the actual price of the unit, but they have not refunded me a dime even though it was picked up on the 19th of September.

This is a shady business entity that sends broken junk-yard parts across the United states and then disappears when you want your money back.
10/10 would not recommend to my worst enemy.
Their service is absolutely sorry and pitiful. I cannot wait to be done with them.

EDIT: To address the dishonest response.
- Mike and Jessica both told me you knew where it was last week when I last spoke to anyone about this. She also stated you were working to confirm if it had arrived to your other warehouse. I was suppose to receive a call back with an update.
You guys have a problem with following through with your follow-up communication.
Haven’t heard anything since. No email response. Not answering the phone.
If I could upload all of my evidence, believe me I would. Lucky for you this review platform does not offer the option.
For you to claim that you don’t know where it is, but your customer service reps have already confirmed you’re aware of its location, is a blatant display of how shady you guys are, but also that you don’t communicate well internally.
I thank you for the display.

As for the shipping issue:
Mike told me it was still in the inspection phase. Said I shouldn’t have to pay anything. Calls me back 2 hours later, requests payment or it won’t ship.
If there was damage before the ship date to the correct address, I was not made aware.

Another shimmering example of your failure to communicate.

During this entire ordeal damage has only been mentioned by me. That only took place once it was inspected after receiving at the correct address.

I begged for a BOL after being prompted by RL carriers to complete one for the pick up.
I called at opening hours.
I called throughout the day.
I sent emails throughout the day.

You guys still scheduled the pick up with RL and they showed up 8 hours later. I sat on the phone with Pablo for an hour and the driver waited for you all to get your act together- yet another failure. But you’ll withhold the refund until it gets picked up?
Make it make sense.

ANOTHER EDIT TO YET ANOTHER DISHONEST RESPONSE:
- nothing was ever misordered. Hard to misorder something when I put the vin in to my vehicle before confirming purchase. Lie again.
- you all never reached out to me EXCEPT for the instance to collect for additional shipping fees despite Mike telling me it was in the inspection phase and a shipping address change was acceptable without any further incurred fees.
-you never sent a BOL on pick up day. Another lie. I have that Recorded phone call and those emails too.
- when I disputed the payment you all also had no problem telling the financial entity that it was received back, but still in the inspection phase and my refund would be processed once the inspection deemed the damage to sustained during the shipping process. - another lie. I’ll be screen shotting that also and uploading as evidence. Thank you! That helps me!

Lying to make yourself look better doesn’t work as I will continue to correct you with facts. Attempting to blame the customer in a deceitful manner is also a bad business practice. Process my refund and be pretentious with someone else.

Thank you for your feedback, however, this is not what had transpired here. The original unit ordered by you was incorrect. We then contacted you to offer you the correct unit. Mid transit you requested that the unit be reconsigned which resulted in the $63 charge you are referring to. Damage during delivery was not a result of us shipping out the part in good condition. Furthermore, the part was shipped back without using the prepaid label that was emailed to you. We are not quite sure what $1600 shipping fees you are referring to as we did not charge you any fees. As of 10/3 the unit has not been received back. Refunds are typically done once the merchandise is returned.

I HOPE MY REMAN TRANSMISSION IS AS GOOD AS THIER CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS!!

THE SERVICE I RECEIVED FROM "REMAN TRANSMISSIONS" WAS STRAIGHT AND TO THE POINT AND GUIDED ME THRU THE PAYMENT PROCESS AS WELL. SAID MY ORDER WOULD SHIP IN 3 TO 5 BUSINESS DAYS TO THE AUTO REPAIR SHOP THAT I HAVE ARRANGED TO DO THE INSTALL. SAID I WILL GET A TRACKING NUMBER IN MY EMAIL WHEN IT HAS SHIPPED. VERY POLITE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE SUPPORT. THE TRANS MISSION HAS A 36 MONTH WARRANTY OF WHICH I HOPE I NEVER HAVE TO USE, BUT WILL HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE HOW IT GOES.

Ended with a great transmission

I received a bad transmission. They promptly sent me a new transmission. It is running perfectly. Still waiting on a reimbursement check for the labor of having the bad transmission installed. I am promised that they are sending it and all will be good.
