Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were somewhat happy with their experience overall. Many consumers find the technology offered to be very useful, highlighting its ability to simplify complex development tasks and accelerate the creation of applications. People appreciate the ease of getting started and the platform's effectiveness for prototyping and learning. Many users also find the AI features helpful for overcoming coding challenges and streamlining their workflow. However, some people were dissatisfied with the user experience and the app itself. Some customers reported issues with apps disappearing, difficulties with publishing, and problems with exporting projects. A few other people also felt that the AI, while generally helpful, could sometimes create errors that were costly to fix, or that the platform struggled with building aesthetically pleasing user interfaces.

It's established, but the cost of building the app and maintaining it on Replit has risen. There is also not a convenient way to talk to someone for support questions as it is all managed by AI.

Read the negative reviews before using a better company! Customer service is practically non existent. These guys are there just to take your money and will make you wait a week or more to deal with urgent issues!! (You can not trust Replit if u want to run a business)

Banned for No Reason After Using a Valid Promo Code!

I created an account with Rapid for a project, applied a promo code I found online, and verified my credit card. Before I could even use a single service or make any transactions, my account was instantly banned without any explanation!

I reached out to customer support and explained the situation clearly. I pointed out that it is entirely their responsibility—not mine—if a promo code is circulating online and gets accepted by their own system. I expressed my genuine intention to use their platform for my project. Support literally told me, "Okay, we will fix it." Since then? Absolute silence. They completely ghosted me, and my account is still locked.

They are punishing new customers for the flaws in their own system logic. Promising a resolution and then ignoring support tickets is incredibly unprofessional and frustrating. Terrible customer service, zero communication, and a completely illogical system. An absolutely unreliable company—stay away!

Bad service and they are scammers

Bad service and they are scammers. They said there is a one-month free trial and that you can remove your card and stop the renewal, but I can’t even remove my card from their website. They are trying to charge my Visa without my permission. First, they tried twice to take $25 to renew my subscription, which I did not approve. Then they tried to charge $7 I don’t even know why. It feels like they are just testing my card balance.

On top of that, their service is bad and their AI creates problems instead of solving them.

Not free as the adverts claim

It works at the beginning. I signed up after seeing several online adverts that say time and time again: “it’s basically free”…well it isn’t. (The ads should be changed or banned). I found out that other AI will do it for free.

Can be powerful however billing/usage credit model is very poor and goes against the customer

I’ve been using Replit for several weeks now, and while it can be quite powerful when everything is working properly, I’ve run into some frustrating issues. The chat interface often gets stuck on “Working…”, and at times I’ve had to manually kill the session through the console just to continue.
Another concern is the billing model. I wasn’t impressed when Replit applied additional usage charges even though I had already purchased a credit pack—this felt a bit greedy to me. On top of that, when the interface breaks or the AI fails to generate code correctly, it can still result in charges, which seems unfair given the failures are outside my control.
Overall, the platform has potential, but these reliability and billing issues make the experience less enjoyable than it should be.

Big warning, be careful as the billing model is a greedy system, whereas purchase credits are applied from the date purchased instead of offsetting against any current charges, this is poor on replit business model.

Incredible App

Incredible App! Insane how much we've progressed where now we can make fully functioning apps without the need for a CTO.

Crazy stuff.

I have spent over 4000$ and it continues to send me in the same circles. Ai messes up my code i can name off each feature becmfore they make it stop working. They freeze your account within 24. Hours of owing 53$ there is no rhyme or reason to code used charges it will say worked for 11 minutes but it wad only about 2. I go through 53$ in 30 minutes fixing what their ai messed up and not actually able to get any real changes done. I feel like they are stealing from me. Customer service is terrible and its just horrendous to spemf this mich and be nowhere close to viable and its their problem nothing ive done to cause it. I am sick of it and dont recommend. They could do better so easily... but wont.

Hidden charges and confusing billing — be careful

I've been a paying Replit user and genuinely enjoyed the platform for building projects. Unfortunately, my experience with their billing has been extremely frustrating.
When I ran out of credits on my Core plan, I was proactively pushed to upgrad to a Teams subscription, specifically to avoid overage charges. I continued working on the same project, assuming the upgrade had solved the problem. It hadn't.
What Replit doesn't make clear is that upgrading to Teams creates a completely separate workspace with its own credits. My existing projects stayed in my personal workspace, which kept incurring charges. I was never prompted to transfer my projects, never warned I was still using the old workspace, and never notified when I exceeded my limits again.
The result: nearly $400 in charges I actively tried to avoid by upgrading.
When I contacted support, they acknowledged the confusion but refused to refund the overage charges, offering only $30 in credits as a "goodwill gesture."
To make matters worse, I couldn't even find a clear way to cancel my subscriptions in the dashboard. The whole billing experience feels designed to extract extra fees rather than help users manage their costs.
If you use Replit, set up spending alerts immediately and double-check which workspace you're actually working in. I've now moved to other platforms.

$4000 and I still dont have a viable app. Customer service continues to not solve the problems and ive spent at least a thousand dollars repairing the same bugs over and over and over. It lies about fixing the issues, it is not fixed or credited or any sort of recognition to a problem which should be refunded for not doing what the app should do. Its a rip off. Youre better off hiring a developer this app will just steal your money

Rigid billing and broken AI tools..a nightmare for business owners

I have been using Replit for my company projects, including an e-commerce site and service tools, spending over 400 dollars this month with plans to scale much higher. Due to a temporary bank issue, I requested a simple 4-days extension on my payment deadline (from Feb 20 to Feb 24).
Despite explaining that my entire business infrastructure is hosted here and will go offline, support was completely cold and refused to help. They showed zero interest in supporting a startup or maintaining a long-term business relationship. They would rather see a customer's live projects go down than show a few days of flexibility.
If you are running a real business, be careful. This company prioritizes rigid billing cycles over the actual survival of the businesses that pay them. I am now forced to migrate all my projects to a provider that actually understands business continuity.

Worse, their AI agent is broken and constantly overcharges. I have been stuck in "billing loops" where the AI provides incorrect code, does the exact opposite of what is requested, or claims to fix an error but doesn't, charging me every single time it fails. It often gets stuck in a loop explaining a task instead of doing it, while the costs keep mounting.
If you are running a real business, stay away. Between the unreliable AI and the zero-flexibility support, Replit is a massive risk to your uptime and your budget. I am migrating all projects to a professional provider immediately.

Believe me, there are much better options and professional alternatives available. I am moving my hosting to Hostinger, and for any future edits or tweaks, I will use tools like Cursor or Windsurf. This setup ensures I won't be scammed by broken AI loops or treated like an unimportant number by a company that prioritizes a single payment over business continuity and customer loyalty.

The Ai will lie and then you have to…

The Ai will lie and then you have to re-check every function of your site. Its great at making graphics but has to be told over and over when setting up functions. The amount of time you repeat yourself in means they will keep charging you and you end up with a really big bill. The evidence is there and they wont refund you. Dont make my mistake. Use Cursor instead and setup your own host.

12dollarsperclick.net

12dollarsperclick.net
We were working on an advertising website called 12dollarsperclick.net and replit decided to ban the website for being a scam. We are over 20k members on that site who all lost our advertising platform, This is a legitimate opportunity that that paid it's members commissions every time without fail.
And we have a respectful owner Ron Kelly who worked so hard and did everything to keep this opportunity going for us the members.
Replit refuses to answer the appeal that was sent immediately after they banned the website. We want Replit to release the database and website code to Ron Kelly who is the owner of the website and the owner of our data. Replit has no right to keep OUR data!!!

You everything up there

You ed everything up there. What's that supposed to mean? It's your approach to your clients to just take without hesitation and block a person's working business. Well, these are not at all adequate actions on your part, the company Replit. Alas, with this approach to clients, there will soon be no more than one client at all. It's just terrible what's going on in your company👎👎👎
