I am very impressed with Responsible Life in particular with David La-Haye who I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

David was my Later Life Lending Specialist dealing with my Equity Release Re-Mortgage.

He was extremely helpful, professional, friendly and efficient every step of the way, there wasnt at any times any confusion or mis understandings.

He made everything very clear and went to great lengths to ensure the smooth running of the whole process he kept in touch with me along the way, checking and clarifying any issues or concerns i may have had and putting my mind at rest, i cant thank him

Kristian Moore (from Responsible Life) was the equity release specialist who guided me through the application and process. He did this with complete professionalism, expert knowledge and evident experience. Like most people (I assume?!) approaching an equity release decision, I had more than a little hesitation and scepticism. Kristian was transparent in his delivery of advice and comprehensive in giving information to qualify this. There was absolutely no time pressure applied- I felt able to ask (and ask again!) anything that felt uncertain to me. The written data/quotes supplied were presented in an accessible format- and I am not financially savvy.
The process and time expectation was clearly laid out for me including the amounts of all additional disbursements and costs. And the entity of the accumulating interest (which is the sting in the tail of equity release!) was never hidden or sweetened- appropriately so. In other words there were no surprises. There was significant time given to discussing the appropriate total amount of mortgage to be taken and the pros and cons of releasing a greater or lesser amount. In other words the guidance was personal not rote.
To take a lifetime mortgage would not be my first choice, but life sometimes weighs in. Given my circumstances this was the right decision for me and Kristian Moore was central in bringing it to fruition. I must add that he repeatedly advised that I discuss the matter with my family- as I did- and this direction from him gave me confidence about the integrity of the company and Kristian himself. I have no regrets.
Kristian took the weight out of this application - all forms were pre-filled for my subsequent scrutiny- and this made it very straightforward.
The integration of other parties to the process(surveyors, valuations, solicitors) was seamless- no stress for me- it all happened smoothly and reliably.
So… all in all, I have to honestly say that making this important and difficult decision at a late(ish!) stage of my life, which required serious consideration for the wellbeing of my family and their future, was the best thing I could have done. Without confidence in the guy (Kristian Moore) orchestrating the whole matter , I wouldn’t have gone through with it.
I recommend Kristian, without hesitation, to anyone else who is deliberating over whether a lifetime mortgage is right for them.
