Matt visited my property very swiftly and reviewed the large number of damp issues we had and offered very comprehensive and detailed advice about the best remedies to fix them, including where to start first, rather than jumping in with a big fox straight away.

He provided a very detailed write up of our conversation afterwards and emailed across, which I was very grateful for, given how much useful information he gave us.

Matt gave us a very comprehensive report with lots of very useful pointers tailored to our specific circumstances and with an impressively short turn-around. Our house has suffered extensive fire damage and is without a roof. He turned up on a cold November Sunday afternoon and was very thorough in his assessment including independent advice on things not directly related to a renewables system and which are now incorporated into the schedule of work for our rebuild. I enjoyed chatting with my retrofit advisor, Nathan. He was knowledgeable and clear about the benefits and costs of each retrofit options that would suit my 1980's detached property (heat pumps, electric boilers, solar panels etc.), whilst also providing some useful practical advice to insulate and avoid damp issues in the house. I also like that they have a list of trusted suppliers and contractors to use as well.

The information and ideas that we were given were useful starting points for the processes (cavity wall insulation and the replacement of glass (not the frames)) we were considering.

We had to filter a considerable amount of information from the organisations that we were referred to by Retrofit West but that is an issue for the specialist trade bodies.

Clara was really helpful in navigating the maze of sustainable retrofit, especially internal wall insulation for solid walls, and breathable plasters. It has been really helpful to have support with planning and phasing of different works.
