In the beginning of November I ordered two chairs. They were supposed to be delivered at the end of January. When trying to access my order online upon delivery, the website was unreachable and messaged "Due to legal constraints, RetroFurnish is no more able to register orders or processing shipments". I mailed, called, even tried to get my money back through the help of my bank: all without success!! A friend attorney suggests to send a registered letter demanding the refund of my money. I will try to figure out the exact post address and simultaneously send an email to christian . scherfig @ twobirds.com as mentioned in Maryse Moerel's post on 12/26/2016.

Did anyone get his money back ?
As everyone, I am a victim of Retrofurnish. Order # 200030672 from July 2016, amount 465,28 € --> payment was captured immediately, and products were not delivered. I am wondering if somebody managed to get somehow his money back and how. Mastercard gold insurance makes a no-go in this case. My bank the same. Is there any solution ??? Thanks for your inputs.
Ordered for 1128 euro's and never saw my chairs. No answers to e-mails, phonecalls or letters. Company address is an accountant firm in England. Owner lives in Monaco.
Pure Fraude. Owner moves from one company to another. Paid with Ideal and both my bank and Ideal claim they can not refund me even if the Fraud is proven. Retro Furnish is the one who can not deliver and had to refund us, but they are totally invisible. Mail all your details to a lawyer in Danmark at law firm Bird & Bird, who is trying to sue them: christian . scherfig @ twobirds.com

The websites Retrofurnish.com and retrofurnish.co.uk are hosted in Denmark, but are actually owned by the company Retro Furnish Ltd. which is registered in Edinburgh, UK, with its legal address in the offices of the accountant firm Cowan & Partners Limited (60 Constitution Street, Edinburgh, Midlothian, EH6 6RR). Retro Furnish Ltd. was created in Scotland by a Belgian national
Anthony Van Baeten, with its legal address 1 Escalier de l'Inzernia, Monaco.
In the meantime, Van Baeten resigned as a company director from Retro Furnish Ltd. and was replaced by the company VCBV AISA Ltd or VCB ASIA Ltd, registered in Hong Kong.
There are many complaints about Retro Furnish Ltd, in UK, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany.
Very dissatisfied
Appalling service. Paid money but did not receive goods. Am trying to get money back to no avail. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Website shutdown - Refunds?
My partner spent £300 on retrofurnish last month, unfortunately without having read the reviews here! She was in correspondence with somebody last week, who confirmed that the order was being processed, but as of yesterday the website has shut down, no response to emails etc.
I presume there are plenty of people in the same boat, and I'm hoping that a knowledge share here might result in some refunds:
I think we can presume that Retrofurnish won't voluntarily process refunds. Another comment on Trustpilot mentioned having reported the company to the Scottish police force, who went to investigate the property, to find that the address is just a mail box, and that the outfit seems to be based in China. I would be interested to hear from anybody who has attempted legal action. Did you find out who to take action against, and where their company/their money is based?
An article about retrofurnish was published in the Guardian this Summer, detailing one customer's bad experience. That customer had paid with a debit card (like my partner) and was advised to request his bank for a chargeback of the amount paid. The article did not say whether this request was successful or not. By the looks of it, retrofurnish move their money around (Scotland, Monaco, China) to avoid taxes, so it's unlikely that a high street bank in the UK will be able to track down their bank in order to request the chargeback. If you paid with a credit card you have a much better chance of a refund, as the companies are required to reimburse customers for orders of over £100 that don't arrive. Contact your provider ASAP!
My partner has requested a chargeback from her bank in the UK, so I will post any updates here. She has been warned that these things often take many months to process, and often don't result in success. As far as pressuring the company to provide refunds goes, I think it makes sense to work as a group, rather than lots of disparate investigations? I presume Retrofurnish owe its customers/victims(!) tens of thousands of pounds collectively, and thus it amounts to quite a serious case of fraud.
Please do comment here if you are considering legal action, if you have managed to get a refund from Retrofurnish, or if your bank or credit card provider has had any success in recouping losses. If lots of people want to share info/mobilise, perhaps we can find an easier means of communication!

I always didnt receive any thing. I leave 3 messages by phone, no one call me back. I have sent 3 emails, no answer neither
I donot know when i will be delivered, I donot know what to do
They got my money and they have disappear. Are they an organisation which crook people??
I am just happy to see that I am not the only one in this case, its daes not reassure me. My husband is going to talk to his lawyer about it because its a lot of money they keep from us

Ordered 19 chairs back in May 2016, paid for them, never got the chairs. Now they are closed. Anybody who knows what to do?

My bank said that they can ask retrofurnish to send the money back. That costs 15 euro but retrofurnish must agree. Did anyone try yet?

SCAM WEBSITE!!!!! I’ve received no answer to my email about the request of when the armchair would have been shipped. To date, almost 8 months after the order (#300012054, shipment no. 300010741) payment!!!!!! Don’t make payments at Retrofurnish!

Ordered in October, but the order has been only partially fulfilled. No response from the seller. Excuses regarding Brexit for delays in first part of the shipment.

FRAUD - BEWARE!
Same story here, they took my money with no delivery. I cannot connect with a live person. I continue to receive the same audio recording at their offices leaving multiple messages but, to no avail. Please stay clear of this site even though the products are desirable and absolutely affordable. Total SCAM!
Promises but no delivery
Ordered and paid eight DSW ABS chairs (PC-016W-White) on May 18 2016, have not received anything yet and it's November 14 2016! Order #100011733, totaling € 279,92
On June 21 2016 we got the following mail:
"Dear,
Thank you for your email.
Your order unfortunately experienced a delay during sea freight and is planned to arrive at our warehouse in late July for a delivery right after.
We are really sorry for this delay.
We will send you the confirmation of the shipment along with the tracking number 3 days before the delivery.
We remain at your disposal should you have any further query.

Nothing else since. The domain is registered to Anthony Vanbaeten (Retro Furnish Ltd., 100 Suite, 12 South Bridge, Edinburgh, +44.1312081628), whom seems to own a company in Monaco, go figure.
Crooks - Avoid at all cost
On July 5, 2016, I placed an order for two items with retrofurnish / furnica. The total came to $1849, including $660 for shipping. In about a month, they shipped one item and it arrived without issue. The second item, priced at $649, has never been shipped. In spite of numerous phone calls and emails from me, no one has acknowledged me at all or even tried to explain. I have been patient and willing to wait, but with no communication, I have grown angry. At this point I must assume they have stolen my money and do not intend to ship my item or refund my money.

I just received a poor email at the beginning of August to tell me they had difficulties with UK legislation. But since then, NO RESPONSE, NO INFORMATION, NOTHING...
