Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 144 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many customers reported encountering unexpected hidden fees and being pressured to purchase additional insurance, often despite having their own coverage. Reviewers frequently noted that the rental location was off-site and difficult to find, often requiring an unreliable or delayed shuttle service. Some people also found the staff to be rude, argumentative, or unhelpful when issues arose. A recurring issue involved credit card payments for deposits, with customers reporting difficulties with card processing or charges being applied instead of holds, and issues with deposit refunds. Many people felt that the initial attractive prices were misleading, leading to concerns about additional costs.

Worst experience ever

Rented RC through carrentals.com. ist of all the shuttle took an hr to pick us up from houston Airport. Got to the center to pick up the car, there are no live agents. You will have to get infront of a monitor to speak to an agent- its vurtual. Was ist told 3 options for a deposit, $250+60, 500 +20 or $1000 I disagreed and he said, let me see what I can do for you, so he reduced it to $400 without additional fees. So, then, on my pick up time, it was supposed to be at 10.30am, but my flight was delayed and I got there at 2.21. So, I asked for the time adjustment to be the time I arrived and return time to be thesame and was told no it couldn't happen, that my pick up time would have to be the past time that was on the reservation, I disagreed, again. I've never in my life heard of that. And also the return time would have to be 10 30. I canceled my reservation and then, I requested for a shuttle to return me back to the airport. The driver arrived 30 mins later and I guess he was told I didn't book through them, he then said he would return in about 15 mins, waited another 30 mins and I just requested a Uber and left.
Do not book through this agency. It was my fault as I didn't do my due diligence, researching before booking

They deliberately restrRight Cars Global Rentals Sent Antalya - NEVER RENT A CAR, POLISH OPINION WHAT DOES IT MEAN? VERIFIED!ict the use of…

They deliberately restrict the use of valid credit cards (Visa and Mastercard) in order to force customers to purchase full insurance, claiming that the deposit cannot be made on these cards. The banks have confirmed that the cards are valid and have no restrictions.

I travel almost every month and my cards work everywhere, but not at Right Cars Global Rentals, Antalya International Airport, which is simply not true. Unfortunately, I have only now realized that they use such practices.

For Polish customers, this effectively excludes this rental company entirely. I strongly advise not to use their services!

Terrible car and company, car had multiple issues that i had to deal with and on top of that they have not replied back to my email, whatsapp or any messages regarding £1072 deposit they took out instead of holding.

Underhand practices, you'd be well advised to avoid.

I try not to leave negative feedback, but hiring from RC has been a really terrible experience, and I wish I'd checked here first. Hopefully this saves at least somebody from what appears to be a very, very familiar story.

First off, after a 30 minute wait at pick up, I found it was the wrong car they were giving to me - I had ordered an *intermediate* sized SUV (Kia Sportage or similar) specifically for the boot space with 3 people and 3 large cases. RC however were trying to give me a Seat Arona which is most definitely a compact SUV, with space for only one large case in the rear. Even RC's website agrees. The agent quoted the "or similar" clause and said they were similar - I stood firm that compact and intermediate are two distinct size categories, she did eventually agree but then it was another 45 minute wait while they went elsewhere to get the right size car. I had my own insurance policy, and so RC took a €1,480 deposit, which is high, but at least expected. I took a video and photos of the car including the damages that I could see, as they advise you to do. They of course tell you that "any dents or chips less than a 1 Euro coin size, we won't worry about, you only need to note any major damage". Nevertheless, I was careful in photographing everything that I could see.

Through the rental it was generally okay, the car was externally pretty tatty, scratched, dented, and as I found out during a flash shower, had badly perished windscreen wipers which caused something of a safety issue until I could stop and clear the screen manually with towels. But other than that, it generally worked fine at least, with no real issues.

At check in, (and all rather inevitably given that they knew I had taken out my own insurance and going by past reviews), the agent went directly to the windscreen and held a piece of white paper inside to highlight to me a 1mm chip in the windscreen glass. I see from previous reviews this is not an uncommon occurrence. He then insisted I fill out an incident report, including a signed disclaimer that this had occurred during my use, which I of course could not agree to. I had been the sole driver and there had been no impacts to the glass during my holiday. The agent charged my credit card just under 650 Euros for this damage, ostensibly to replace the windscreen, so he claimed. I asked if he would be providing evidence of windscreen replacement / invoice after completion to help with my insurance claim, he replied that RC would not be doing this "due to their policy" which is all rather suspect and makes you wonder if anything they charge for ever actually gets rectified or if it's just an extra income stream. I'm sure that this chip was there all along, and I am convinced that no replacement will happen. No doubt the next renter will be stung for the exact same chip if he doesn't spot it.

As stated, I had taken a video and photos at check out, but no inspection / videoing / photographs by the customer in the full sun glare will pick up these kind of tiny blemishes, especially if you don't know the paper trick, so to be sure of avoiding these tactics, I'd suggest you simply go elsewhere.

I should have checked Right Car's reviews before I hired. Going by the majority of experiences they'll clearly do everything possible to punish you and cash in for having your own insurance by finding a small existing fault at check in, a fault that was likely already there and you'll need to be a professional vehicle valeter and photographer to spot and document it. Pay cheap, pay twice as they say. I'll get the money back through my insurance, but the admin faff is a headache and I'm out of pocket for some months while they sort it out.

Confusingly, only one hour after my card was charged the 650 Euros for damages, I received an email from RC stating that the car had been returned with NO damages, and thanking me for my custom. Eh?

I'll be sticking to Hertz next time.

Customer Feedback for Right Cars Vehicle Rental

I recently booked a car through Right Cars via Expedia, and frankly, it was an appalling experience. Despite purchasing insurance directly through Expedia, the staff at the rental facility aggressively pushed their own coverage—insisting I pay for an additional package that was entirely redundant. I repeatedly explained I was already covered, yet they continued their hard-sell tactics with zero regard for the situation.

This happened at midnight, with my exhausted family and two young children in tow. The lack of professionalism and empathy was staggering. It felt less like a car rental and more like a shakedown.

I will never book with Right Cars again, and I strongly advise others to think twice before subjecting themselves to this kind of treatment.

I booked the car from Right Cars via…

I booked the car from Right Cars via Economybookings.com. I was at the Adnan Menderes Airport on time as planned. I called the phone number stated in the voucher (Right Cars-Turkiye-Izmir). I called them 10 times. Their phone was turned off. It was not reachable. Meanwhile, nobody from this company called me. At the end, I had to take a taxi to reach my destination. I paid 1550 TL (around 28 GBP) to the taxi. I called the Right Cars in the morning. Finally, someone answered the phone. They said that they cancelled my reservation because I did not collect the car. They did not help me at all even though I called them and sent an email several times. Basically, I lost almost 200 Euros. I recommend you not to book anything via this company.

Only putting 1 star because there’s no 0 star option It’s a low key scam! We waited for their shuttle for more than an hour! Called 8x no answer and on the 9th time someone answered I asked where the shuttle they said they can send one out if I want to in 16 minutes so I decided to just cancel since I already waited so long and who knows if they will ever come the guy on the line told me they will cancel and just call expedia for refund. Fast forward 24 hrs later expedia said the rental company said they can’t refund. So yes they took our money and we didn’t have a rental! Do not waste your time it’s a bait! Very bad service

Terrible

I beleive that it is a scam company.
1st, it was supposed to be meet and greet, but no body was on the airport to meet and greet us.
After 20 miute of waiting and after calling them they came to pick us up.

They pretended that they wanted to charge the card to cover the excess, they told me that the card company didn't authorise the payment, which was a lie, I contacted the Barclayscard, they informed by them that the atttempt of charging the card never happened.

Basically they wanted me to pay € 300 for the 5 days to have a full protection, which is 10 times more than the online charge.

Eventually they cancelled my booking and I had to look for a transportation from the airport to the hotel, which was a very stressful last minute arrangement.

I gave them one star, because there is no zero score, for me I would put minus 10 stars.

Avoid them or you will regret.

Do not recommend

We really struggled with Right-Cars - nothing right about them.
The car they gave us was barely road worthy - ridiculous milage, a nightmare to drive and covered in scratches. An embarrassment.
Unfortunately Customer Service was awful and they really don't care.
We would not recommend them at all

Scam car rentsl

Scam. Quoted $86. Undisclosed fees at pickup about 240$. Included 49$ fee to look at my insurance card, $14 a day because I am a senior etc. plus the &86 for the car and under 100$ rental would have been over $300. I left, woman next to me left

Pickup was terrible and rental done over video screen. I told rental person to get a job that does not require screwing people

Booked thru Priceline and they were zero help. Priceline should not book thru them

I then reported them to FL consumers protection agency and any place else I could give them a true and terrible review

No idea how they are in business in the US

52 days have passed, and I have received no refundng

Upon arrival at Antalya Airport, we were expecting to be greeted by a representative holding a sign with our names, as clearly stated in the rental agreement. However, no one was present. After walking extensively through the airport and making numerous inquiries, we were unable to find any representative waiting for us.

Eventually, with the help of local taxi drivers, we managed to contact the rental company. We were told the driver would arrive in 20–30 minutes. Given the extreme heat in Antalya and the fact that we were dressed for cooler weather, this was a very unpleasant wait.

When the driver finally arrived, we noticed local residents making sarcastic remarks as we followed him to the car. One person laughed mockingly and said, “Oh, you chose the best company,” clearly implying a reputation for poor service.

Once we reached the rental point, we were provided with a car that was completely different from the one we had reserved, and it was in extremely poor condition—damaged on every side, with no undamaged panel. Nonetheless, we used the car for the full rental period, took care of it, and returned it in the same condition without causing any additional damage.

Upon returning the vehicle, the same employee who had met us used the car to take us back to the airport. During the drive, he confirmed that the car was in the same condition as when we received it and that everything was in order.

We expected to receive our deposit refund within two weeks, which is standard practice. After more than two weeks without a refund, I contacted Opodo, and they informed me that the refund could take up to 28 days. Although I found this unsatisfactory, I chose to wait patiently.

Eventually, I messaged the Nomos WhatsApp number, only to receive an automated message stating that refunds could take up to 28 business days.

As of today, 52 days have passed, and I have received no refund, no update, and no response from the rental company. My follow-up messages and inquiries have been completely ignored.

Meanwhile, Opodo customer service continues to pass me from one representative to another with no resolution. One manager even told me to “contact your bank, it’s not our responsibility.” No one is willing to take responsibility or provide clear information.

This company is borderline a scam

This company is borderline a scam. There prices are very cheap upon renting but once you get there, you speak to someone on a screen who then dishes out all the various fees.
This happened to me. I was there with 5 others only 2 went ahead with renting the car. They also refuse to give you a refund saying that if you rent through companies such as expedia that you will have to go through them as they have not received any money. When going through expedia, they say they will try to help but the company tells them that it is unrefundable.
RC, charges a daily fee even if you will not use the toll, plus the actual toll fee. They ask for $800 deposit and it's just ridiculous from there. So of course, they took my money and did not give a refund. I wish them well with my hard earn money they keep for nothing. #RCScam #

I have been trying to reach someone at there phone number and I don’t get any answer. The reason why is because we had to cancel the reservation once we went in there to pick it up because you can’t leave the state that you rented from so I’ve been trying to get a refund and no one‘s answering me. I went through orbits and they’ve been trying to reach someone also and have not been able to horrible company.

TERRIBLE COMPANY

TERRIBLE COMPANY! AVOID!
This company was incredibly misleading and completely lacked transparency. I booked it through Priceline, paid the amount and it said the amount due at checkout was $0. When I arrived, I found out there were hidden fees everywhere, and they weren’t upfront about the services they added. One example: they offered me what they called a “2-day tollway pass” and charged me over $20 for it. Only after I returned the car did I find out that this was just a service fee. It didn’t actually cover any tolls. I still got charged for every toll I went through. That kind of bait-and-switch is unacceptable. Other people at the office felt like they were scammed and there is no real person to interact with. They are all virtual!! They’ve lost my trust completely, and I won’t be using them again. I'm shocked that Priceline allows this company to continue misleading people.

DEPOSIT SCAM ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

STAY AWAY. THIS IS A SCAM ANNOUNCEMENT!!!
I rented a car provided by Right Cars Antalya branch via CarJet on October 2024. After rental period, I noticed that the deposit transaction of 650 € was not blocked from my creadit card as provisional deposit but was made as a direct withdrawal. So far, 9 months passed and they haven’t refunded the deposit. I got an refund receipt on April 2025 but it was fake as bank officer said. Stay away from this company. Don’t rent car. It is not a car hire company but is a fraudulent company. If you rejected to pay warranty they use different pos machine which belongs to an another company and they withdraw the whole deposit instead of blocking the amount as provision. If it could be possible I gave zero star. STAY AWAY!!!

Disastrous Service and Unfulfilled Refund Promises

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Right Cars in Athens, Greece. Despite the contract stating that a representative would be waiting at the airport, no one was there upon my arrival, forcing me to make multiple calls to them. To my shock, I was informed that Right Cars had ceased operations in Athens on July 17th, a fact not communicated to me despite booking two months in advance.
No prior notice was given about this closure, leaving me stranded without a car. Their only solution was to offer an alternative rental at double the original price, which was unacceptable. They promised to cancel the contract and issue a full refund, but 12 days later, I still have not received my money, and the agency has been unresponsive and unwilling to assist.
This lack of communication, unfulfilled promises, and failure to refund have made this a highly frustrating and unprofessional experience. I strongly advise against booking with Right Cars in Athens.

I would not rent another car from RC Right Car rentals. They gave me the wrong car, too small and not what I ordered. I was also made to feel guilty for not taking out their additional insurance as I already had made alternate insurance arrangement. They were rude and not accommodating in the 36c heat. The day before returning the car was suspicious keyed(scratch) and I was charged $415 euros. The cars are tracked I would never use them again. I have been hiring cars for decades and never had such a poor experience.

Avoid this company - deposit not returned!

I hired a car, booked through Opodo, from Antalya airport on 13 June 2025. Like so many other reviewers, my credit card mysteriously wouldn't work to pay the security deposit despite numerous attempts and a long and expensive call to my bank, who told me that there were no blocks or issues with my credit card. The guy at the desk then suggested that I could pay 900 Euros using my debit card instead and that this would be refunded within 21 days of the drop off. I agreed as I had no other choice (the rental place is not on the airport - you have to be collected and driven somewhere). I returned the car on 16 June with no issues. During my trip I'd read the reviews of this company and was horrified to learn that this debit card trick is just that; it's a scam. Upon return, I spoke to the guy at the desk about my concerns and he assured me he would process the refund that day. Today is 27 July and I have still not received my refund. I have tried to contact Right Cars through their website (there is no email address or phone number) but I have been ignored. I have sent whatsapp messages to the guys in Turkey but they have fobbed me off. I am at a loss.
Avoid this company at all costs if you don't want your good value rental to turn into the most costly rental and end up with a huge headache.
