My experience has been awesome

My experience has been awesome. Easy to schedule. Transparent fee structure. Great daily feedback with photos. Haylea has been terrific. This service reduces any anxiety of my pet being at home all day for those times one of us can’t be there.

Very happy

I’m very happy with the dog sitter that I found on Rover.com. She sent frequent updates and pictures, and I came home to a happy and healthy dog. My dog didn’t want her to leave!

Do better!

My sitter (Mark B.) was great with my pet. 5+ Stars for him. Rover.com, however, was difficult to navigate when I had questions, went around in circles trying to find human contact for assistance, very frustrating! Couldn't claim a $10.00 credit for first time user, and their service fee of $50.00 plus tax on the whole service was not mentioned until check out. Do better!!

Beware if you have pets staying in your house

Recently looked after a dog who caused £100 of damage by chewing things in the house. Sent evidence to Rover who say it's not covered so you look after cats and dogs at your own risk.

Hi Bonny, we’re sorry to hear about this experience. We understand how frustrating unexpected damage can be. Sitters on Rover are independent contractors, and while we do offer support through the Rover Guarantee, coverage is determined on a case-by-case basis. We hear your concerns and appreciate you sharing this feedback. -Brittney

Unhelpful customer service, app could be better

The experience of hiring caretakers was okay, although unlike other apps, they do leave you in the lurch when people cancel or no-show (which happens a lot). I wish it was possible to save people or make lists. However, we stopped using when our walker contacted their customer service because of concerns about the amount of biodata they require service providers to share, she just wanted more information at hadn't made any decisions. However, without consulting her, they contacted me saying she wanted to cancel services immediately and closed her account. This was an unacceptable reaction that seemed deliberately retaliatory and caused a lot of problems for both her and us, so we stopped using the app.

Emergency hospital visit

We had an emergency and had to go to Asante in grants Pass and I was up at midnight trying to make plans for the next day and Rover came through immediately. I found someone to take care of my deaf Cairn terrier during the day while I was at the hospital with my husband. Amy was awesome.

Sitter we booked ditched us midway…

Sitter we booked ditched us midway during the booking, mentally tortured the puppy, made all kind of reasons and issues with the puppy and also verbally/racially abused us and threatened to take our puppy back in less than 2 hours. We had to scramble to find different dog place on our own for the safety of our puppy. It took more than than 2 days for the puppy to come out of the traumatic experience she face with the sitter. Rover didn’t helped us at all during the experience and didn’t ensured safety/well being for our puppy even though they advertised 24/7 guarantee for everything so very very bad experience and probably never Rover again.

I booked 4 walks for my dog which totaled $120. Rover charged me $80 for the walks and a $22 service fee. If that is not bad enough, I've learned that they also take a cut of the dog walkers earnings. They also don't have anyway for you to speak with anyone if you want or need to. Is this the type of company you want to support?

Total peace of mind

My dogs have a really good time with Sally F. Her house is the only place I will bring my dogs for boarding.
Her communication is wonderful, I get pictures and updates at least twice a day. If anything comes up I know about it instantly! I have total peace of mind.
