Ryder Jeep

We had a small battery car for our grandson but he wore it out. We looked at several options but chose the Ryder 4WD Jeep. Great choice as he loves it and it has been trouble free. Highly recommend Ryder!

Looked around for a while for a two…

Looked around for a while for a two seater ride along for my two sons, the buggie was a huge it, fairly easy to put together. Fast charging and so fun for the kids, also durable and can travel on many surfaces. We did run into a hiccup with the gas pedal getting stuck but they replaced it immediately . Will use in the future for sure !

We purchased the 48volt ride on

DANGEROUS/ TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

over $2,000!! It worked for 10 mintues before the gas wouldn't even accelerate the car. We emailed and called MULTIPLE times. All they would do is send us youtube videos that didn't even apply to that specific car. Finally after no attempt in helping us, we asked for a refund and they luckily refunded us. After trial and error we realized it was the E-brake that would get stuck and it's safety feature would prevent the car from moving forward. After wiggling the ebrake, it finally worked. BUT, we took it for a ride on a private road with an incline and as I was pressing on the brake, the CAR WOULDN'T STOP!! Because of the incline in the road, it kept going faster. SCARED, I pulled it ebrake and the car still would not stop. luckily no one was hurt. DO NOT BUY THIS DANGEROUS TOY!!!!!!

Never buy from Ryder Toys

We got the car and put it together and it didn’t even work. I sent them a video of the problem and they basically told me to become a technician and troubleshoot how to fix a brand new product. After trying that it still didn’t work and I asked for a refund. They said we have to pay for the shipping and a 20% restocking fee. So at the end of the day we don’t have a toy car but also lost money from the whole thing. They are a pure greed factory. Never buy from them.

Better off with the cheaper version

We purchased this for our kids for chrismtas and have been nothing but dissapinted since, we have had motors fail (after 1 week) and a steering column break backorders on getting the items have lead to no use of the car for almost 5 months and now when a 3rd motor broke i am being told my warranty has expired and there is nothing that can be done, save your money go buy 3 from Wal mart or amazon the QUALITY will probably be better.

$500 Drifter 2.0 Go-Kart horrible quality and service

I bought the white Drifter 2.0 Go-Kart for $500 as a Christmas gift for my seven-year-old. Here is the full timeline of what happened and how Ryder Toys handled it:

1. June 2025
After just eight easy backyard rides, the kart stopped working.

2. Mid-June
I sent video proof and detailed emails. Ryder’s support replied that their 90-day warranty had expired on March 14 and refused any free service or repair.

3. Late June
After several follow-up emails and explicitly citing California Civil Code §1791.1(c) (implied warranty valid up to one year), Ryder offered a one-time free battery replacement only if I purchase and use my own voltage meter and adapters to perform detailed diagnostics at home.

4. Now
Ryder still will not send a technician, provide in-house repairs, or commit to a full replacement if the battery does not resolve the issue. They insist I must buy all tools, run voltage tests, submit the results, and then pay for any further parts or labor they decide I need.

On the phone their representative admitted the kart “should last well beyond six months” but could not explain why Ryder’s warranty ends at 90 days or why they have no local service centers or drop-off options.

Under California Civil Code §1791.1(c) your implied warranty runs as long as the express warranty—up to one year—unless a shorter period is reasonable. Charging $500 for a children’s ride-on that dies after three months and forcing parents into a DIY repair procedure is neither reasonable nor acceptable.

We own several other ride-on vehicles from reputable brands; all still run after years of heavy use. Ryder’s Drifter 2.0 may look premium but in reality it is a disposable toy with zero long-term support.

Buyer beware: at this price point you deserve real backing, not endless emails, self-diagnosis demands, and a three-month cutoff.

DO NOT BUY FROM RYDER TOYS!

Update 7/25/25

The customer service team actually took care of me and helped resolve my issues with the experience. I am happy to say that although my exoerience with the car doesnt changs, they did right by standing by their 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Original post below:

DO NOT BUY FROM RYDER TOYS!! Your child will get hurt on the toys.

Horrible return policy and only a 90 day warranty which should be the biggest red flag here. I should have trusted my gut.

I tried to return the car i got for my daughter shortly after the purchase but their "system wasnt allowing" them, then they convinced me to take a small discount and small gift card and after countless injuries to my daughters face and my legs/back, they are not honoring their 100% satisfaction guarantee. The buggy rattles with metal on metal clanks just driving on smooth surfaces, the cars jolt to a stop and will give your child whiplash and slam their face into the windshield bar that has a sharp edge, which gashed my daughters nose bridge, which bled and scabbed.

I paid nearly $800 for a dangerous buggy that is a safety liability for my daughters face and neck as well.

There is absolutely NO WARNINGS OR ANY EXPLICIT verbiage on potential dangers on the car, which I plan to take to my lawyer.

They are breaching mulitple laws of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) 2008 and do not rigprously test their products.

The battery also does not last anywhere near the 90 mins they advertise. It has died on multiple occasions and ive had to push back to my home, no neutral gear option so all four motors resist and its feels like a 400lb sled push workout. Ive strained my back/legs/hips, 5+ gimes just died within 30 minutes. Their response is that it "can last up to 90 mins" WHAT A SCAM.

Terrible company, just buy the exact replica on amazon for only 300 and save hundreds of dollars with amazons warranty and amazing customer service. Its called the palbys 24v car toy

They also say 100% satisfaction guarantee but dont stand by it or honor it. Still waiting for a resolution.

One thing after another

Upon arrival the box was damaged which caused the light covers to be broken along with the axel bent. We went ahead and put the toy together because it was a Christmas gift for our young kids despite the damages.

A new axel was sent and 2 out of 4 covers were sent to us. The kids loved the toy so we were ok with the other light covers not being replaced as it didn't impact the functionality.

Fast forward a couple months and the toy would no longer turn in one direction. Since it was past the 90 day warranty period we had to pay for the replacement part which was close to $50. Shortly after this, the toy would drive itself when you turned it on for a short period of time without the accelerator being pushed and then would not move when the accelerator was actually pushed.

I am extremely disappointed on this product. We had a cheap power wheel that lasted 10 years. We thought we were getting a better product but we were definitely wrong about that.

Low quality and parts impossible to get

These products are no better quality than any other power wheels product and then when they do break after not a significant amount of use the parts are unavailable. I have been waiting for wheel motors to become available for almost 3 months for their most popular vehicle, the all wheel buggy. I urge anyone considering purchasing their product to look at the replacement parts page before you order. The impressive percentage of parts not currently available is astounding.

Ryder toys not worth the hype

I ordered their new utv for 1800 dollars. When delivered it was damaged on the back of the utv. I refused delivery and told them to send me a new one not damaged. They told me they had to wait until they received it back in order to send me a new one. That it would take 10 business days. It's been over 10 business days. They still haven't received the return. They refused to send a new one. They told me they are sold out. they still have my money and now no utv to give me. And they won't give me my money back until they receive the damaged one. I told them to fix that one that's damaged and send it back to me. They said they can't. I will never recommend this company to anyone. Poor customer service! Bad company!

Its Been a Nightmare

Their toys are junk and you can't get replacement parts. Ive had too many problems with them to count. Right now I have 3 broken wheel motors that hapoened after a couple weeks of use. The car came with a broken seat, broken tail light, and broken frame.

Very disappointed with my experience

Very disappointed with my experience. I ordered from RyderToys.com and received a broken product. I tried contacting them multiple times for a replacement, but they completely ignored my emails and phone calls. Poor quality and even worse customer service. I won’t be ordering from them again.

Customer service exceeded expectations

Customer service exceeded any expectations I had. Unfortunately, there was an issue at delivery with the buggy so I reached out to customer service and the were prompt on their response. After a little back and fourth, customer service went above and beyond to rectify the issue. Build quality is what I expected and I'm sure little man will enjoy the buggy for years to come.

Best customer service around!

We bought the all wheel drive buggy for our 5 year old twin grandsons as a Christmas gift. It was delivered promptly but not without a few issues…a broken taillight cover and cracked steering wheel. We’re grateful for the issues because the customer service was the best we’ve experienced in such a long time and had we not had issues we wouldn’t have experienced the real magic of this company…how much they strive to give customers the best products and service around. Parts were quickly sent and everything made perfect! Our grandsons LOVE their buggy and drive it everyday! It’s been so loved that we’re hoping to buy a second one soon! Can’t recommend Ryder Toys more highly!

2 kids 2 Lambos

I bought 2 Lamborghinis for my 3½ and 4½ year old sons. They absolutely love them. I like the hi and low feature. The low gear is great for them to learn and then turn up the fun with hi.
