Not that great for the price

Not at all as big as it looks online, I’m not even sure if my soon to be 7 year old will fit very good in it, very small inside!! Was not at all worth 800 please save your money and go with something cheaper! The cheaper ones are all around better!! What a joke!! Also, the back light doesn’t work probably because the box it came in was beat up really bad when it arrived!

STAY AWAY!

STAY AWAY!! Terrible Service, Bought an $800 buggy and it showed up broken. Called and emailed, then waited for over a week for a response. They said they would order a new axle. But neglected to tell me I'd be waiting for over a month. They wouldn't replace the vehicle, which I requested multiple times. They kept letting me know they were a small american business... but can't help a customer get an actual working product without deliveries from China. They should've returned the broken one and sent me a new one the same week. I'm going on 2 months now and my kids still haven't had the first ride. This is a terrible company and terrible product. Stay away! Stay far away from this "american small business"...

Good quality toys for reasonable…

Good quality toys for reasonable prices. We were a bit afraid to put this thing together by ourselves but it almost came in one piece and the instructions were clear enough. We are satisfied! Thank you

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! They will delete this review because it's negative. They delete all their negative reviews. This car broke in less than 30 days. My children drove the vehicle on FLAT grass in our yard. The weld came undone on the front axle. It was under warranty. I contacted in April. They NEVER have parts in stock. They initially told me it would take 1-2 weeks for the part to come in which we were fine with. We didn't get a shipment until July 18th. When we opened the box, IT WAS THE WRONG PART!! No one ever answers the phone. The only want to get a hold of anyone is through email. I have requested a phone call to discuss this matter so I wasn't waiting 2-3 days for responses. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They offered nothing for the significant delay in processing of the part. At this price point of $1800, and it breaking after maybe 10 rides around our house, the company should have offered a replacement vehicle. DON'T BUY!!!

USA company reselling Chinese products.

The quality appears to be better than most, however I specifically bought from them based on their statement, "Ryder Toys is a small family owned USA based business operating out of California." While yes, they are a USA based business, they should disclose the products themselves are made in china, they are merely reselling chinese products without any disclosure. The assembly instructions left a little to be desired too. All in all, we are happy with our purchase, we will see how it holds up.

Would rate 0 stars if I could

Would rate 0 stars if I could. My experience is very similar to people here. I ordered June 17 2024 it’s been almost a month and I’ve been told a few times it’s in shipping status so they can’t do a refund, but they still have not provided any shipping information. I feel scammed and I want my money back.

Here is my order #17859.

Edit. I finally got a refund on July 16.

REVIEW EDIT/ADDITIONS AS OF 7/12/24:

7/12/24 Additions:
The same day I left the below review, Ryder finally followed up with an email link to the replacement part we had been needing for 3 months (or so we thought). Not at any point in time during our multiple follow up emails to them prior, did they inform us the part was out of stock, which supposedly is what the delay had been. We paid for and ordered the replacement part and waited for it to arrive. In the meantime, Ryder responded to my review with the below message. They did not touch on the fact that they blocked me on Facebook (I had messaged them) and removed my comment on one of their posts detailing our experience. For them to say the complaints are less than 1% of their orders is false, as they are controlling their website and social media reviews. Most positive reviews are also within weeks of purchasing. Just wait, there is a reason they have a 90 day warranty.

Lastly, the replacement part arrived . . . and it was not the correct part. Even though we confirmed the readings we got with the voltage meter they told us to buy, and confirmed what was reading at a 0, they sent us a link to the incorrect part to purchase. We emailed them to inform, and this was their response; "if the charging port is what you require, we wanted to inform you that this specific part is currently not part of our inventory. With that reason stated, this is not a replacement price we sell." So, in closing, $550 later (after wrong replacement part they won't take back), 4x riding it, it working for less than 3 months, and emailing with Ryder Customer Service over 40x since March, we have a $500 unusable go cart that broke in less than 90 days after 4x riding it. And they offered absolutely NOTHING for it. I truly hope this review inspires others to speak up, and buy elsewhere. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Original post below 6/27/24:
I would give 0 stars if I could. We purchased the drifter go cart for an Xmas present that was used maybe 4x. By March, it would not start. Started emailing customer service, and they told us to purchase something to test the voltage in different areas. We did so, and after going back to them with the results they told us it was day 94 and the 90 day warranty had expired, therefore we would need to purchase the replacement part(s). Just absolute terrible customer service.

With no other choice, we agreed to purchase the replacement piece and since have exchanged 16 emails in over a months time frame waiting for the replacement part info to order. Each time their customer service says they are working on it, then we have to follow up again days later (they do not).

I have never personally experienced anything like this with a product I have purchased at this price point. Terrible customer service, and product to boot. After researching the company, I found these yelp reviews and all of the complaints with the better business bureau. I proceeded to pursue other avenues to attempt to get our issue rectified and $500 investment fixed, sending a message on their Facebook account and leaving a comment on a couple of their posts. They proceeded with erasing my comment each time, and blocking me from their Facebook page. Mind you, the message and comment purely contained the chain of events, which they obviously want to hide from potential customers. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, do your research on this company. At no point at all, have they offered anything for such an inconvenience and lack of accountability for the poor product sold, etc.

In the end, my son is simply heartbroken that his Xmas gift was useable for 2.5mnths and has now sat for 3.5mnths. I see the company's response informing people to follow up with live chat or their customer service department via email . . . . . but as relayed in this review, that is futile.

Still haven’t received our buggy

Still haven’t received our buggy. Site says 3-5 business days….its been 10 so far. Customer service keeps telling me it’s in progress and awaiting pick up for courier, but can’t tell me when. I find it hard to believe that a company can’t tell me when THEY scheduled a pick up or even who the carrier is!

Cheap junk

Steering motor and wheel motor went out after a few rides, been waiting months for the replacement under warranty, every time I call they tell me it will be a few more weeks. Now they’re saying they dont know when they’ll have the steering motor. They use cheap chinese parts but charge 3 times as much as other companies

Update: finally got the replacement rear motor. It doesn’t work. They replaced my defective motor with another defective motor. They still havent sent the steering motor. Every time I call they say they will have a supervisor call me back but they never do. Terrible company
