Useless stay well away! Bought this Moonpod Hoover model VC101 for £179.00, after reading a raving review on this Moonpod Hoover. A complete scam. Bottom hoover hose split within a month. A "replacement" spare piece of exactly the same cheap plastic hose, of was received by post on the16th January 2025 in a cheap jiffy bag.
No replacement instructions included, just a cheap, cut off plastic piece of hose, in a jiffy bag!
Please do NOT believe all the 5* reviews posted on Google on this Moonpod VC101 hoover.
Fortunately i paid by Credit card and i am also a Which Magazine member.

Delivery was a little late, and when chasing up they were helpful, BUT...

Cleaner display froze after a few uses and refused to work. Have been constantly chasing for a fix, a refund, or a replacement, and they have gone completely silent and refuse to answer.

They are happy to take your money, but then leave you in the mire.

Complete scam. Unfortunately I must echo all previous 1 star reviews. Bought vacuum from Typkur useless rubbish. My fault for not checking out all these evil companies first.

Only barely ok if you have no problems with hand/arm strength and/or dexterity. I have both hard floor and carpets, so needed to change over the rollers. The catch is weak and not obvious and the roller att, fell of rolling under a chair, initially couldn't find it. To dismantle the arm from motor requires strength, the dust canister does not easily open, it was easier to take the filter/dust bag off completely. Problem being that it does not easily slot and click back into place. Thought it had safely clicked in only to have it drop off whilst vacuuming dislodging the filter and emptying dust and dirt all over the carpet. It also is not good at getting right up to skirting board, needing to utilise attachments frequently.
The power mode when on auto revs up for no obvious reason, reducing run time. The on/off trigger situated in such a way that it takes very little to nudge it to off whilst in use, across half hr of use I accidently turned it off 6 times.
Customer service abysmal, need to buy hard floor roller seperatly though ordered same day as vacuum, it took a further 4 weeks for it to arrive. Customer services kept emailing 'will contact warehouse' really began to believe I was talking to a robot.
Cannot understand how this vacuum has received such glowing reviews. I feel I have probably wasted my money.

Should be no stars. Variously named Ottena, MoonPod uk, and Typkur uk, fake companies.
Company are total scammers selling cheap shoddy goods from China at exhorbitant prices.
Refused to cancel my order two hours after placing having then seen bad reviews then lied that already dispatched though tracking proves otherwise. I refused to accept delivery and tracking shows successful return delivery was signed for by them. They suggest I have received goods, no refund received. Reported to Action Fraud.

Got a stick hoover which packed up after 3 months since then the customer service keep asking for video which i have sent

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Absolute crap. I wish that I had read the reviews before ordering but I was in a hurry and didn't notice that the write up about it being the best vacuum cleaner was a sponsored post. Nice bit of self marketing there. Far from it being powerful as they claim, it's like a hair dryer, nothing more. Customer service doesn't exist. They don't send the item and blame it on the courier. If you try to cancel the order, they say they will retain 15% as per their terms. If you mention that you will go through your credit card company for a clawback, miraculously the parcel has been found and is on its way to you. Been well and truly had. It's destined for the bin I think. No point trying to return it, having now read all the reviews. STEER WELL CLEAR.

Rogue company, now trading as Ottena! Avoid at all costs. They have no business address, they only sell one thing on their website and scam you out of money.

Do not touch this company with a barge pole Dealing with them has been a nightmare I ordered a vacuum cleaner tried to cancel within 24hours but they just ignored.my emails Eventually this useless machine posing as a Hoover arrived and after numerous emails which they normally ignore Gave me an address in China to return which cost me £84.77 POSTAGE
£179 vacuum cleaner So in total it has cost me £263.77
The chance of getting my money back is well no chance

i saw a commercial saying it was designed by danish engineers using off the shelve parts. and this was the reason it was low cost. i fell for it and ordered one....it took so long to come that i tried to cancel it......when it did arrive i opened the box and my first thoughts were that it looked ok but the accessories looked cheap.......but to be fair now i have used for about 2 weeks i rather like it.... it is easier to clean than my old dyson v8 and more manoeuvrable. the power is ok and it lasts long enough for me to do what i need to do. to me be honest i was also drawn by the price. So for £179 .00 i cannot really complain. if it breaks down before the guarantee i will be unhappy but we will see.

Like your other reviewers I've also had a very bad experience with this company. I ordered the cordless vacuum on 19/10/24 and was advised it had been dispatched on 21/10 . When I tried tracking it I found it had arrived at Edinburgh MC on 23/10. I waited and waited but no delivery. I contacted the company and they assured me they would chase the courier (Royal mail) . Since then I've emailed every day but so far no result. I'd definitely stay well away from this company as they are unreliable.

I contacted customer service as the hoover was not as good to use in person and we had not recieved an additional part, which is advertised to help remove pet hair. We were told that there was a delay on the additional part, which we did not mind. However, when using the hoover, the suction is not as great as described and we have to go over the same part several times. We live in a small flat and the battery runs out very quickly. Once we recieved the additional part, we tried this and again it was not great to use either. We contacted customer service for a refund as this item is not cheap and we have used cheaper hoovers with a better outcome. I contacted customer service and did not get a response. I contacted them again and i did have communication with them but on average it take them 2-3 days to reply. They asked what was wrong and to ask for a video, which i though was fair incase it was just a faulty item. I sent them a video of some fluff on our carpet and demonstrated that it did not suck it all up straight away. I also informed them that i could not attach a video of our laminated flooring, which had bits that took several times to suck due to the email not allowing me to attach the size of the video. I also informed them that due to having dark carpet you could not see the dog hair on our carpet and therefore i could not send a video. I got a response saying that the hoover shows the fabric was sucked and there is bits in the filter, so it shows that it works. They have been ignoring my requests for a full refund and it has felt like anything i say to them is just ignored, rather than helping a customer. When researching this item we read 2 different articles saying how good the suction is and is great especially for pet hair. The item is rubbish and their customer service is not helpful at all. We have been completely mis sold and have have now lost out on money due to purchasing a rubbish item!!!

BUYER BEWARE - DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE
I agree with every other comment below & if you have attempted to purchase then contact them by email - 'Google it' & ask them to confirm shipping details within 24 hours & their response will be that the package has been lost by their carrier & would you like a replacement. Subsequent emails - not written by someone who has a good command of the English language - will confirm that the package has been lost! When you cancel, i.e. after they have offered to resend, they will still charge you 15% cancelation fee. Keep copies of all emails once you have requested a charge-back - this works with Barclaycard as the full amount debited will be refunded to your account.

I have had a similar experience.

I placed my order in August and after 20 minutes I cancelled it. However they insisted that it was sent and that I could return it when it arrived. It duly did and when I asked for a return address they tried to ignore me. They then offered a discount, which I declined. Like many others I'm still out of pocket. Total scam from start to finish.

I wish I had read Trust Pilot reviews rather than a stupid "Best Cordless Vacuum 2024" article. Clearly biased and not genuine.

Ordered the product, then literally 20 seconds later cancelled the order by email - because there is no cancel order button in their website (smart!!!) - they ignored me... they kept ignoring me for more than 2 days when I continued to send them cancellation requests.

Then they emailed me as the product was shipped, saying they had not seen the email before the product had shipped ... blah... blah... blah... bullshit

So I receive the product and go ahead and open it. It turns on for 2 seconds and then turns off again. Battery 50% and doesn't work.

Sent him email - because they have no phone number (Smart again !!!) - no response. They say if you request cancellation within 14 days you can return the product. I requested to return the product TODAY November 1st, same day I received it but surely they will respond on November 16th saying the 14 days had gone...

Extremely disappointed by both customer service and quality of the product. Actually feels like a scam...

Will be contacting American Express to start a dispute with them.

If only I had seen the reviews before ordering! I thought Ryelo UK was part of the Danish Ryelo whose cordless vacuum cleaner I wanted and thought I was ordering. Alas, I was mistaken. Ryelo UK has no means of contacting them other than by email through their website, which is pointless as they do not respond in any way or acknowledge receipt of orders. After more than a week,I complained to the credit card company who refunded my money only to find later that day that (surprisingly) the vacuum cleaner was delivered. I have followed their returns procedure and emailed an hour after receipt of the item as I wanted to return the unit. However, I cannot return the goods as they will not give the address to return it too (as stated in their returns procedure) despite emailing them twice and well within the 14 day period stated in their returns procedure. SO READERS OF THIS REVIEW, BE WARNED, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, IT APPEARS TO BE A SCAM COMPANY BASED IN GLASGOW.
