The most professional vehicle purchasing platform

I was told by a friend to get a car from this platform. Right of the bat, it was such a simple procedure that it took me less than 15 minutes to get what I wanted. People who were assisting me through this company were extremely helpful and the platform itself was extremely user-friendly. I would highly recommend people to use this platform as it is the safest, most durable, and most trustworthy.

I bought a car from SAT a few weeks…

I bought a car from SAT a few weeks ago, and I got almost 9 months of stress and wasted money. I ended up with a car I never ordered or saw. Now it's still at the compliance centre because it's rusty, all the brake rotors need replacing, and the tyres need changing. They also swapped the wheels with the tyres; they advertised it with different wheels and changed that when they sent the vehicle. I contacted them, but they literally ignored my emails and messages. Please avoid them at all costs, as they are not even registered in Japan because they buy vehicles from other companies. I can't include the photos or else I have to add the proof as well.

The originally purchased vehicle failed the New Zealand emissions inspection, which is a regulatory requirement beyond the seller’s control. To avoid further loss to the customer, SAT Japan replaced the vehicle at our own cost, with no additional payment requested, and completed the order in full.

There was no gap in communication. All updates, inspection results, replacement options, and shipping steps were shared with the customer throughout the process. At no stage were emails or messages ignored.

The replacement vehicle details were shared and confirmed before shipment. No vehicle was sent without customer awareness or approval. Claims that a car was shipped without being seen or ordered are incorrect.

SAT Japan is a legally registered company in Japan, operating for over 20 years.

All vehicles are exported based on inspection reports and documentation provided prior to shipment. Findings by local compliance centres may vary by country and do not indicate misrepresentation.

Great Experience

Just got my Toyota Corolla from satjapan. Condition wise it is very clean in love, it did take some time to come but it was well worth the wait I got mine delivered to my house, I did look at some Corolla’s locally but they don’t even come close to the deal I’ve gotten from them, do highly recommended them they are great people and very professional, will most definitely buy another car from them in the future.

Sadly please avoid, not a good experience

So I would have loved to have left a 5 star review, but sadly every step of the way during this purchase has been marred by lies or a lack of communication.
I did previously read the reviews and noted one about how someone ordered a car, were then told car wasn't good enough, but they had another and upon receiving the car it was worse.
This was the case with me, purchased a car back in April 2025 to be told the car I purchased wasn't good enough!!
So believing them they stated we have another better car. Got the details of this sent to me, with the promise if I purchased it could be booked onto a ship the following week.
So I agreed to buy the replacement car.
Follow up emails were sent asking for bill of laiden went ignored. But eventually were answered and it was quite obvious the car had not been shipped.
The car eventually arrived mid August 2025 almost 5 months after first placing an order with them.
Well when the car arrived it certainly did not fit the description of their 'inspection report'. I doubt very much the other car was worse than this one.
I was sent by Sat Japan an auction sheet which did seem to have a lot less defects than the car I received.
My questions were answered when cleaning the interior I found the original hand written auction sheet, which would you believe once translated, showed a lot more defects than Sat Japan's inspection sheet.
Knowing what I know now I would not have paid the asking price.
I've ordered a good few cars now from Japan, using various companies and this is by far the worst experience I've had.
I have ordered other cars from other companies after ordering this and received them before this car arrived from Sat Japan.
My advice sadly would be to avoid this company, most of the cars they advertise can be sourced from other companies, so please do your homework and shop about.
I don't normally leave reviews as bad as this but honestly I have nothing positive to say.
I will follow up this review pending a response and outcome from Sat Japan who have been emailed.

Update, I was offered compensation in the amount of $200 and $500 in loyalty points.
I have received neither and find their offer of $200 an insult, considering what was needed to put the car right.
So if you read the reviews where satjapan has offered monies n compensation, I would suggest you take that with a pinch of salt.
Also following this review, I noticed the reviews here increased with an awful lot of people posting spurious 5star reviews to dilute my negative review!!!
Update there offer of $200 was never received but they did remove my sat japan points (don't like criticism or the truth)
Once again be very aware, just don't even be tempted or fall for the lies

The originally selected vehicle was not shipped after inspection raised concerns, and this decision was made to avoid sending a vehicle that might later cause issues. An alternative vehicle was offered in good faith, and its details were shared before proceeding so the order could continue without restarting the entire process.

International shipping timelines can vary due to inspection completion, vessel availability, port schedules, and documentation requirements. While the overall timeline felt long, delays were related to these external factors rather than a lack of intention to ship or communicate.

Regarding condition and documentation, vehicles are exported based on official auction records and inspection reports. Handwritten auction notes found inside vehicles can differ in interpretation after arrival and cleaning, but this does not mean inspection documents were altered or misrepresented.

We acknowledge that expectations around condition can vary, especially with used vehicles, and we regret that the vehicle did not meet your personal expectations upon arrival.

A goodwill compensation offer was made in an effort to support you further, even though the order was completed. Such gestures are offered to maintain positive relationships and are not an admission of wrongdoing.

Hi,

I want to express my detailed experience with this company.

I purchased two container with removed bumper to fit 6 cars in each and there was very few car company who were willing to do i choose sat for that

Out of 12 cars one has been badly damaged in ship but sat have compensate me full of the amount of car and i am happy with resolution but unhappy with the ship.

The car had house bl for each of my customer so i am happy for that. My customer refuse to accept the car after found damage but the compensation i am happy

To sat my suggestion is to please ensure car are not damage and hold these company accountable for their negligence

Overall would suggest customer to please buy car with insurance otherwise u can be in big trouble

My first experience buying from SATJAPAN

Their service is excellent when they inspected a car I choose which did not meet their standard so they offered to refund me the money or choose another car which then I realised how honest and genuine the company is. So I decided that they handle finding the car that meets the 5 star standard that the company expects and after 3 months when I received the car it exceeded my expectations and I can’t describe how satisfied I was with both the car and their service. I even let them handle the clearance and delivery to my door step. Whoever is planning to purchase a car from Japan I honestly recommend this company to handle everything all they way to your home while you set and relax. Also I would love to thank Mei for the good customer service and thank you SAT JAPAN.
