Exceeded expectations - great fun
Wasn't quite sure what to expect, but the evening certainly exceeded anything I could have though of, it was huge fun.
I'm an SF nerd, love the Guardians films, and we bought tickets for two autistic 24 year olds and the parents, who don't usually do this sort of thing and we were all a bit concerned we might be skipping out early. We needn't have worried though, because right from the first moment, the crew were fun, encouraging, and cleverly drew us into the narrative.
Inside, the set is large, detailed, full of fun, intrigue, tasks, side-stories, and overall, keeps you busy for the two or so hours of the event. You're teamed up, you have tasks to complete, and there's lots of friendly competitiveness; you have to engage to get the most out of it.
There are also plenty of food and drink vendors inside, so you can easily chill out for a while if it's all a bit much.
You also don't have to dress up; most people hadn't (we didn't), but it doesn't detract from the experience.
Overall, we had a great time and I'd definitely recommend it.

An experience
If they do a show or film you love then go and join in. They do a great job and you can feel like you have been there and become part of the show. Don't miss out and regret it and if you go take part as much as you can.

Absolutely terrible experience
Absolutely terrible experience. I know I’m older than average and was also in a wheelchair but my 20 yr old son also hated it. The site says you don’t need to see the film so I did not watch again before going. It was total chaos. Couldn’t find our “clan” got sent to jail but I couldn’t do anything just felt I was in the way. Seems to me they were just trying to get us to buy over priced drinks. We did a secret mission but we had to wait so long to meet our contact I was totally fed up. No story, dreadful acting, singing standard of bad karaoke. Honestly it’s just trying to rob you! We left skipping the film. Would not recommend. If you want an interactive show go to war of the worlds it was a million times better and had a story!

DON'T even bother trying to email them
DONT even bother trying to email them, so they cancelled my night last minute had a party of six going some traveling from Derby. offer me to book again with two extra places, great need to book for January as that is when we are all next free, cant do it online because booking service doesn't go that far. try to email them is like pulling teeth out of your skull and had more response from a dead corpse. Apparently if you get to go its meant to be good

I didn't know what to expect
I didn't know what to expect, despite the great information sent by organisers but, once i got there, it was amazing and my competitive side took over. It was brilliant. There isn't time to get bored and time flies when you immerse. Me and my friend really enjoyed ourselves. Food and drinks prices are not that bad and didn't break the bank. Food was delicious (had a chicken wrap), cocktails were brilliant!!

We had such an amazing time at Guardians of the Galaxy! If you're a Marvel fan you'll love it! Actors were brilliant and you can get involved as much or as little as you like! Thanks O2 for the tickets!

Disappointed for the accessibility of the show. After spending over £90 was left sat at the back for most of it having to try to observe myself. Missed the entire finale due to the crowds standing and blocking the view. When I complained, the customer service teams answer was for me to buy more tickets and go again.... bit disappointed

Go but don't pay premium!!!
Great design and creation of the world but I was disappointed with the amount of interaction/games/missions available, we spent a lot of time queuing for various things. After taking in the initial spectacle we ended up feeling quite bored, more observing than made to feel part of the world. I wouldn't have minded if it was cheaper but we paid for premium tickets which was defiantly not worth the price!
Go but don't pay premium!!!

Absolute 5* Experience - No question
I cannot understand how people have put anything under 4 stars for this event!
Guardians of the Galaxy was my first Secret Cinema experience. I had no idea what to expect and was absolutely blown away.
The evening ran like clockwork with every actor and member of staff playing their part. It could not be easy to try and orchestrate groups of people in an extremely loud venue with so much going on constantly, and where they were clearly following a timetable of events that were happening around the warehouse at specific times. But every actor helped guide us and were there to answer any questions we had.
I think it was the sort of event where the more you put into it, the more you got out. Me and my friend jumped into it head first (after 10-20 mins of, admittedly, not knowing what the hell was going on). But once I understood the concept of the clans and how the evening was going to work I spent my time running round, getting involved in every aspect of what was there and thoroughly enjoying myself. So I can only assume that those who didn’t enjoy the event weren’t getting as hands on as we did.
The effects, set and set pieces of story were all phenomenal and it culminated into a fantastic final conclusion to the evening. The acting by all involved was also on point.
The food/drink was standard London prices. It was all pretty simple but tasted nice enough. The cocktails (I had the rum) were particularly nice.
Overall it was a relatively pricey evening but I felt we had a unique experience you wouldn’t get anywhere else. All the actors and the high quality set and effects were all fantastic. So, given the above, the higher price point felt justifiable. I’d be interested to see how another theme would work. I’ll definitely be keeping my eyes out for the next one.
Well done all involved for a fantastic event!

We had so much fun being in the world of Marvel & interacting with the characters and watching the scenes unfold in front of us! Grub wasn't half bad too :D

We Are The Queens, Slay!
Guardians of the Galaxy was an amazing night out! We were so quickly immersed in the story and encouraged to get right involved. Our Fabulosa was brilliant and did so well to bring smaller groups together to form a team for our challenges. Did expect some more activity during the film (as with previous SC experiences) so this could have been better communicated. But it was such a fun night, would highly recommend!

Disappointing all round :(
All in all this was a big disappointment. I’ve been to secret cinema quite a few times before and it’s clear that the focus has changed from providing a good experience to making as much money as possible.
First of all, the environment is always really good and GoG is no different. Walking in and looking around is a brilliant first impression. The actors we got to see were also really good!
As for anything else it’s kind of ‘meh’ the interactive element, for us at least, was the extra quest we got for getting the premium tickets. It was following a character around as he chatted to other characters, the story was cool but there was no interaction. Occasionally he would ask us to recite a number he told us earlier but that was it, another part had the group find a code for a lock. But because of the amount of people crammed into the tiny room only a few ppl around the edges could find the clues.
This is my main gripe with GoG, too many people crammed into a small space. I spent the majority of my time in a line or pushing past people like I was at a crowded gig to follow an actor. You also couldn’t really get close to any actors because they were always so rounded by a huge crowd of people. At points I couldn’t even hear what the actor I was following was saying.
In the end we didn’t even get to finish the quest because it the actor ran out of time and that was that. Just a “oh we ran out of time, time to go through to see the show”. The acting show was well performed and looked good but again, you couldn’t really move because you were shoulder to shoulder with someone else.
Even on the way out, we stopped to take a picture and the staff told us ‘no’ and made us leave.
All together a really disappointing evening. If I were you, instead of paying for the premium, I’d get the basic. So you can go into the area and see it. You’ll get about the same interactive experience as a premium ticket.
Also, the film was just the film. No performance around it or anything extra. Just sit and watch the film.
It’s also really clear what the focus of the team behind the event is when the “tell us about your experience” survey done afterwards is mostly made up of questions like “what brands did you see in the experience” and “how likely would you be to buy a brand you saw in the experience”. Rather than “what did you do in the experience”
Poor.
Guardians of the galaxy experience
Guardians of the galaxy experience. Location was easy to get to. Show was really immersive, the actors and the environment were spot on. Enough food and drinks outlets so you didn’t have to queue for ages. All in all a great night
Charlotte the access assistant was outstanding
Charlotte the access assistant was exceptional making our experience easily accessed
We did have problems with confirmation our disabled parking which after numerous emails we only received on the morning of our show. Which was extremely disappointing
Guardians of the Galaxy
Went to see Guardians of the Galaxy. On the whole, we really enjoyed the experience. The sets were fantastic, the actors brilliant, and you didn’t feel like you had to do anything you didn’t want. That said, you won’t get the full experience if you don’t immerse yourself within it and it is a great opportunity to be part of a film set and script you love. Particularly enjoyed the finale which was really enjoyable. 5 stars for the experience…..but let down slightly by the cramped seating for the film and the extortionate pricing for food and drinks - £3 for a can of Diet Coke, and £4 for a small tub of ice cream.
Not as good as previous, but still good
I have been to many secret cinemas, and while the experience was great for Guardians, there was a few things lacking compared to previous experiences I've been to. Mostly, there is no acting alongside the film screening, which was extremely disappointing, this is usually one of the best bits and a reason I gave convincing friends to come along. The seats are also very uncomfy if you're tall. It seemed smaller than other sets we have been to, so less chance to explore. The quests were fun, I don't think we managed to see all the secret areas but the ones we did had a lot of attention to detail and were great. The food was also not very nice this time.
Long time SC lovers, but this one, was majorly lacking.
We've been attending secret cinema for the last 6 years and have been to around 7 of them. Usually they are so grand, so much to do and explore, the vibe was great and it was super easy to get involved, and if you didn't want to do the side missions, there was still so much to enjoy and see.
Unfortunately, this one was really lacking. It felt smaller than usually, people were really packed in and it's just felt messy and unorganised.
We came in and it did look fab, we went and found out team leader who was great, but after that it was so difficult to get to the actors and trade stuff as it was just so busy. You had to queue to try and trade anything for ages, there was only 3 places you could go and trade. It was just so overcrowded. When we went to an actor to ask about something in the mission, we got a quick answer as she clearly had to go do something else, so felt understaffed on the actor front. We tried to find this "auction" but just got told, it's in the other room, we were just left walking around, confused and trying to get to actors to talk with them, it was just incredibly frustrating. It was not from a lack of trying on our part. The funniest room for us was the Neon bar with the drag queen.
The last show down before the film just felt a bit rushed and lack-luster. I think if you have no prior bar for SC, you will think it's great, but for those who have been to ones in the past, this is far from how SC used to perform.
By far the worst bit was the film part at the end. The seating was dreadful, majorly uncomfortable and packed in. They gave everyone their phones back just before the film. So you just had people walking around, taking pictures, it ruined being immersed in the experience. There was no popcorn which made no sense for a cinema. There were no love actors, no cool set around it. All there were, was these lights that lit up on time to the film, which added nothing. We saw people around us leaving half way through the film and I wish we had too. For the price of the ticket it just wasn't worth it.
Please go back to how it used to be. For a sci-fi film experience, my bar was what SC did with Blade Runner, James Bond, Romeo and Juliet, 28 days later, Dr Strange Love, which were incredible events and so well done. More of that please! We love SC, but feel it's lost its way and it has put us off coming again.
