USELESS

I have no idea what is going on with Yorkshire Bank at the moment. I do online banking all the time. I have been trying to get into my account all evening but all it says is they cannot log be in for the time being, try again later. I tried a few moments ago at 11.50 pm 8th December and still nothing. How on earth am I suppose to check my statements, transfer money etc. I was asked to go paperless so I did. I was asked to use the mobile app for security reasons so I did and still I cannot access my account.

That's the worst bank I have ever worked with! Firstly, online banking was impossible to set up without calling them, and it took me good 2h on the phone to set it up. Secondly, after two months of service, my business account was closed without warning and without explanation. At some point transactions just stopped going through, which massively disrupted my business and it took me another 3h to get the answer. They couldn't explain why the account was closed, but sent me a letter which arrived 2,5 weeks later again without explanation. Avoid at all costs!

Never Again!

I tried to call to make an overpayment for my loan. In one day it took me a total of 125 minutes to get it resolved.. At one point I had been on 50 minutes and the automated line decided to tell me they were to busy to talk & hung up on me....no option to add a voicemail to leave a number to get a call back. I also seemed to be first in the queue for about 20 minutes, this either suggests it was lying or they have only one person answering the phones (which would not surprise me).

I also sent a message on twitter, I was giving a contact form link that insisted I enter a sort code and account number which for a loan I didnt have. I messaged the Twitter team back and received no response.

I would never use this bank again, absolutly shocking.

Don't answer their phones or call back

I have banked with Yorkshire Bank for over 25 years , attempted to apply for an addition product via the app which wasn't working.
Made a call to customer services and waited 40 minutes to get through, told issue would be resolved and try in the morning and if any problems call back. Over 3 days I spoke to 6 different people and spent 3 hours on hold , eventually I gave up and went elsewhere. Will be moving to another bank that offers better customer service. Since they have partnered with Virgin Money its gone down hill rapid.

Yorkshire bank is shocking AVOID

Yorkshire bank is shocking
Constantly dont know what the ACTUAL amount is in the bank as what goes out and what I've spent ect minuses whenever they feel like it.
I could buy something and it would show on bank app but the money would still be in and then days or week later my Balance would be down. When I pay for something the money should be taken away that moment. I'm changing banks and can't wait at least I will know exactly where I am
DO NOT GO WITH YORKSHIRE BANK

AVOID ****

Worse service ever

Worse service ever. Called to pay my credit card yet the person on the other end would not pass me for security as the address I provided was ‘incorrect’. I changed the address over a year ago when I moved and they still have issues with this. It’s happened once before but that was just after I moved but again after you send all correspondence to the address I provided. Absolute joke. Quick to add the late payments on when I can’t call to pay and the app returns the payments. The bank is a joke.

No Longer YORKSHIREs bank.

Ive banked with Yorkshire Bank for 39 years as a personal customer and 15 years as a business customer. This bank is no longer Yorkshire Bank you will remember. Customer Service is none existence, I don’t understand how they have allowed it to go so wrong. I will be closing all my accounts asap. Why have you allowed this to happen, to YORKSHIRES bank.

This had to be the worst bank in the Uk. I’ve been with them for 20 years and have found the level of service disgraceful, worst thing is they use COVID as an excuse for their shocking customer service. I’m sick of my complaints not being addressed. Worst thing is I pay them £150 for the pleasure of doing nothing, oh and that’s an account in credit

YB lacks responsive usable support services

YB has poor support services. Maybe they need to put more resources into this. When the app fails there is no means of banking with YB. Its live chat and email options don't work - either no agents available or the app itself states ' the app has stopped working'. The telephone banking queue always takes nearly an hour to access anyone. Internet banking is not available without the app. The organization has made it almost impossible to do any banking with them!!! I have been with the Yorkshire Bank for 30 years... please improve your wireless offering otherwise I will have to consider transferring to another bank.

Yorkshire Bank used to be very good but since Virgin got their gubby hands on it it's been next to bloody useless! Trying to contact them is like trying to contact virgin mobile or virgin media. Completely useless! Time to change to another bank and leave these pillocks!

All my money was stolen from both my current account and savings account and no reassurance from customer service or fraud department. How the thieves got my security questions and passwords and passcodes is a mystery as I never leave any information unguarded. Bank is rubbish at security still waiting for my money back.

They recently updated their system and after 6 years of having all accounts viasable on internet banking my business account was missing? When eventually getting through to a human after 39 minutes waiting I was told to reapply for internet business banking. No reason given. I have an online business and I have not been able to trade for 5 days. Been a loyal customer since 1997. They are a useless organisation ever since joining forces with Virgin money. Do not use

Have banked with them for 25 years

Have banked with them for 25 years. Joined internet and mobile banking and now both have been locked by them. Phoned them and eventually got through having been kept 40 mins on hold. Given no explanation as to why they have locked me out but told to produce id at a branch. They were unable to locate a nearest branch that was still open. Found the nearest one which is a 40 mile round trip. Have complained in writing and awaiting a response. Very irate and feel i am being treated like a criminal.
