Went From Being The Best To The Worst

I thought I got lucky finding a good host when I first came to SetraHost. I was wrong; after a few months they evidently stopped caring about the services they were providing. I had many issues with payments, and wasn't even able to log in for about 2 months.

It took them a ridiculous amount of time - 2 weeks or so - to get back to me once I finally logged in. And then they wouldn't remove the suspension I had for not paying even though I explained that I hadn't been able to log in for a good amount of time.

Due to not being able to access my cPanel because of the suspension, I ultimately lost many many files from my previous website and had to begin development from scratch.

I'm now using HostingUK.net and they're awesome - give them a go instead. Cheap, reliable, and a REAL company.

For a good period of time, I was using Viewen to host my website. It was very reliable and I thought it was great because it's free and uptime was very good. However, after using their services for a long time (a couple years), my website was blocked for no apparent reason and I was no longer able to host it there. The support services there are pretty bad too, so I could never get a real response.

Out of frustration, I posted the following on Twitter: "When my host stops being a lazy butt (had to substitute that word for TrustPilot) we'll have (my website domain) working fully. As of now it just takes you to the GDU website."

Within an hour, SetraHost replied to me saying to let them know if they could be of help. I took the opportunity to DM them, and with a short conversation with them and a little bit of research, I decided to give them a chance. Not gonna lie, I was a little sceptical at first since they were so small, but I guess all companies have to start somewhere.

I switched to them and I have not regretted it since. I've had completely zero downtime in the 2 months I've been with them and any time I've needed any assistance they've been there. I recently submitted a support ticket and one of their staff had replied just over 15 minutes later, which is not long at all, and the issue was resolved there and then.

Best of all they're cheap. I'm a college student and I don't have a job so you can imagine how small my budget is. I'm paying only $9 a month and the benefits I get are well worth it - and that's their most expensive plan too...

If you're looking for a host or switching to a new one, SetraHost is the way to go. I feel like I owed them this review for all the help they've given me so I tried to give as much detail as possible.

As you are aware, you had multiple months where you would go without paying. In the past, we waved the fees you owed and unsuspended your account as you had been paying your bills on time. We are sorry you were unable to login, but we were never contacted for this issue and it wasn't brought to our attention that you had any issues logging in. If you ever need anything, we're here to help, but we have to know you are experiencing an issue in order to help. You requested for your invoice to be waved after not making a payment for months and we didn't feel it was appropriate as we were never contacted about this issue and no other customers had issues making payments.

We are sorry you had to start over with your website, but again, we provide daily backups and all you need to do is contact us and we would happily provide one for you, without your service having to be renewed. We still have your website fully backed up so if you'd like our most recent backup, please email us and we'd be happy to help! :)

Beyond happy with Setrahost!

Beyond happy with Setrahost!

This is probably going to sound like a paid review but it isn't. I used to use Hostgator and after having my website go down for 4 hours I posted on Twitter asking for help switching to a different host.

Setrahost reached out to me within 15 minutes and offered help without even pitching me on their service. They simply answered my question and told me how to change hosts.

After looking into them more I reached out to them on Twitter again and switched to them. Since then I have been nothing but happy! My site responds faster than it ever did, it has yet to go down for even a minute, and I pay 1/10 of what I did with Hostgator.

Would definitely recommend to anyone. 5/5 stars well earned
