2 Seater Wooden Swing - Now Firewood

In July'24 we purchased the Outsunny Timber 2 Seater Curved Garden Swing Bench from Shedmaster. The swing arrived with missing washers, bolts and nuts which were required for the frame. SehMaster / OutSunny do not hold individual bags of fixings so instead they advised that they will send out another swing and I was to take out the parts I required. I had to collect the replacement swing which was half a mile away as it was delivered to the wrong address.

10 months later the swing seat snapped on the 07/05/25. The seat ends that is made from layered / moulded wood came apart. My wife and I have a combined weight of 185Kg which is well within the maximum swing weight of 230Kg. There was no swinging on the swing as we had cups of tea in our laps. The swing was covered during the autumn and winter periods. The swing only lasted 10 months. The 28 day Shedmaster warranty has lapsed and they said there is nothing they can do. I now have an expensive pile of firewood that I'll use in the winter of'25!

Swing Bench.

As we mentioned to you in your email that you indeed have a 28 days right of return with the product with OUTSUNNY.

Like with all retailers such as TESCO, B&Q, ARGOS exactly the same conditions apply. Customers have a limited time to report any problems with a product faults with it and to request an exchange or return on it. In this case with OUTSUNNY this rights of return is within 28 days of purchase.

Now that the product has been in use for over 8 months and in your possesion there is very little we can offer. The manufacter will not accept any request for return or replacement parts.

Anything could have happened to the product during the 8 months of it being in your possession.

The swing seat could easily have been broken by the customer with an overload of weight on it, or have been over used. Also we note that yourself installed the unit and we cant comment on how good or bad the quality of your assembly skills are.

Unfortuantely as 8 months have lapsed and the product has been in your possession for such a long time any damages or issues to the product is indeed your responsbility.

We hope this answers again why your complaint was rejected.

You have a limited time to report any issues WITH ANY PRODUCT and 8 months later is far beyond any rights of return. There is no warranty on the product or insurance should any problems occur 8 months on!

Ordered a 15x8 lifetime shed, came when Chris said it would and was erected straight away. Looks like it did on the picture communication was spot on would definitely use again.

I saw the shed I wanted

I saw the shed I wanted, which was with installation. I called them before I ordered to ask how the installation works. They said wait for the shed to be delivered and then call us to arrange installation. I did this and Chris assured me he would call back in 3 days to arrange. I waited a week and called again and was told I would receive a call in a few days to arrange. I waited another week and nothing. I emailed a complaint regarding this and was met with a spiky reply and was told Chris would call me. We arranged a date for installation, and they never turned up. I had a missed call at 2200 when I was in bed advising they couldn't do it. Complained again and arranged another installation date. They did arrive but were very rude and moaned about everything! And then said mine's a coffee no sugar if you are asking. They finished the shed and just left without asking us to check if everything was OK. Shocking customer service and rude, unprofessional staff.

We are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the installation process that it did not meet your expectations.
Your original installation provided was indeed cancelled due to “unforeseen circumstances” and the installer involved on your job had to leave work to attend a “family emergency”.
Our Installation Manager Chris did indeed contact you to advise of the situation and that a new installation date was provided to you for the following week.
We totally understand your frustrations that the installation on your order was delayed but to the nature of the situation was beyond anyone’s control.
We have examined the emails that you were in correspondence with, and we totally dispute your comments that we were indeed “rude” and “unhelpful”. We tried to assist as much as we could possibly do to arrange suitable installs for your shed given the situation.
Your comments about the installation have been passed to our Installations Manager for review and to investigate.
The main thing now is your shed has been installed, and we can only apologise it was delayed.

Quick delivery, good for summer months

The green house was delivered quickly and it was great for the summer. Would not recommend if you don’t want to have to take it down over winter and in high winds as aluminium and polycarbonate struggles with high winds and heavy snow fall.

As per our email that we sent you the greenhouse you purchased was last April 2024. Ten months later you came to report that it had suffered damage due to recent storms. No manufacturers warranty covers any product or garden building due to storm damage. As mentioned on our email to you much like roof tiles blowing off your roof or a tree falling down into your property due to a heavy storm or winds this is not a manufacturers issue but a matter you need to take up with your household insurance company for such loss. Shedmaster nor the supplier Outsunny covers you for such eventuality.

How can we be sorry for a matter that is beyond our control? Storm damage is a force majeure event beyond anyone's control and we did state to you we would happily assist with a quote to provide to your household insurers. As with any loss caused by a storm or heavy wind is a household insurance matter. No garden shed or greenhouse manufacturer covers you for such eventuality.

Again should you require a quote for your insurers for the greenhouse you had for 10 months please let us know.

Also we kindly note that you didn't take our installation services so can't comment on how the building was assembled and if assembled correctly by the customer.

Katie we note that you amended your review here. But again as we have stated ANY storm issue is indeed a household insurance matter. As explained on our emails to you and the information above you need to need to take the matter up with your household insurers.

The retailer nor manfacturer is indeed responsbile for such loss caused by storm damage.

Also NO garden building including greenhouses are designed to be erected and then taken down over the winter months. Doing this will indeed cause problems with vital parts getting damaged or lost in the process. We never endorse any customer to start assembling, then dis-assembling an unit for it to be re-assembled at a later date. No garden shed or greenhouse is indeed designed for this purpose!

Again if you require a quote for your household insuers please let us know!

No Need to bolt it down !

Ordered a Limited Edition Plastic Shed. Chris told me in 15 years he has never needed to bolt one down although instuctions tell you that you must do in case of high winds. They then started sending rude emails at 20.20hrs about my address showing Derbyshire and not Nottinghamshire. I live in Derbyshire and my caravan is in Nottinghamshire. He had the postcode and my pc had auto filled Derbyshire he was that rude about it all I have cancelled my order. Lucky escape looking at other reviews

We are sorry to hear that you are not happy about us asking you to "reconfirm your delivery address".

Our systems (that lis linked with the Royal Mail database stated that the address you provided was invalid. To combat fraudlent payments made online and possible aborted delivery charges we reached out to you for further information.

It was apparent that the holiday park address you provided was indeed not based in Derbeyshire as supplied and was located on the Nottingahamshire/Lincolnshire border.

It is imperative that when placing any order especially of such a high value item like a garden shed that the correct official delivery address is provided. Incorrect delivery addresses only cause confusion with the delivery and installation of the unit. Failed and aborted deliveries due to a customer not providing the correct official address results in aborted delivery and cancellation fees.

If we had proceeded with your order as it stood with an incorrect delivery address would have resulted in further issues upon its delivery and to protect us as business will never send products worth thousands of pounds to incorrect addresses provided by the customer.

This afternoon we have cancelled your order accordingly as requested and a refund as been issued.

May we kindly ask you if place an order with another comany that the deliver address matches exactly to the holiday parks website.
The holiday park in question stated there address based in Nottighamshire.

Poor Customer Service and little to no knowledge of the products they sell.

Despite the length of time I took in finding the answers to relevant questions pertaining to a new purchase of a Canopia Shed, I haven’t even had the courtesy of a reply. I find it difficult to understand Shed-Master can afford to ignore their customers and turn away a £1000 plus sale and the cost of the installation.
It beggars belief how customers can be treated in this way.

Mobility scooter shed

I ordered a metal shed for a mobility scooter. It was easy to buy online, there was a 4 wk wait for it to be made and then it was delivered and installed quickly and efficiently once it was ready. I am very pleased with it. Looks good and very solid and secure.

Installation only arranged by phone…

Installation only arranged by phone with installation manager Chris for Keter 11 x 7.5 Oakland shed together with secure anchorage to the new concrete base.
The manual shows 8 fixings but only 4 were done using screws that barely touched the concrete through the thick plastic base, 1 was in the wrong place. All screws were inadequate as they are far too short and did not anchor the shed down.
A high wind would have destroyed the shed.
Also 2 screws were missing from the roof truss which had not been fitted and the doors were out of alignment and binding because they were not adjusted according to the manual.
We contacted the office who forwarded the complaints to Chris as there was no purchase record.
We also phoned Chris and now await his response to this matter.

We can see an email was sent to you on Wednesday 8th May 2024 advising that you did not purchase the shed from us and given this information our Sales Team is limited to how we can respond. The shed parts responsibility is with the supplier who you purchased the shed from.

As mentioned in the email we asked you to give our Installations Manager a call to discuss the installation that was carried out to resolve your concerns. The team is out on installations but they would get back to you with your concerns.

Could you please give our Installations Manager a call on the email that was sent and he will happily discuss you concerns.

Regarding missing parts you need to contact the company that you purchased the shed from as you didn't buy it from SHEDMASTER as they are responsible for its parts.

Shedmaster have without a doubt gone above and beyond with their customer service to deal with communication problem between myself and the delivery company(100% my fault) The play equipment was safely delivered to me, they then followed up with emails to me to check it had arrived safely. Issues with the installation service

Shed was delivered no issues however our issues related to the installation provided by SHEDMASTER. They came to install but turned up in the afternoon when there were only a couple of hours of daylight left. They completed the job in the darkness wearing head torches but it was too dark for us to take a look. In daylight there were obvious issues, doors did not line up at all and therefore would not open. There were large gaps where you could see through to the outside all around the doors. The floor was so bouncy and uneven despite us paying for the eco floor system recommend by SHEDMASTER. Then it rained, the water came straight into the shed, we had pools of water on the uneven floor. We could not use the shed. Photos were sent to SHEDMASTER and to their credit they returned to rectify. We were told the issues were down to where we had asked for the shed to be installed. Our response was “well why didn’t you tell us before you built it that it could not go where we requested, this was the first we heard there was a problem. The installer Chris said yes I should have said something but I just wanted to get on with it. For us, Chris should have said straight away, no it can’t go there because…. But he just got on with it and built the shed knowing there would be problems building it where he did and in the dark. Our only option when he returned was for shedmaster to push and drag the shed to where it was best to install it which was not where we wanted it. We now have a shed not where we wanted it and with it being where it is, we have wasted some valuable garden space. With installation and the shed and base, this cost just over £3,400 and it’s not even where we wanted it. They turned up so late that they just wanted to get on with it. There should have been more discussion and if the installer knew there would be problems installing it where we asked he should have said no, that’s not going to work and explained the reasons. We had rain coming in where the sides of the shed met the floor so when they returned they siliconed it but the next morning the silicon had just shrivelled up and come away so in order to make it water right we had to do this ourselves including doors and windows where rain was coming in. To make it worse we had electrics installed which had to be disconnected again after paying for them to be connected in order for the shed to be moved, we then had to pay a second time for the electric to be connected up again so our electricians bill was much higher than it was quoted as the work had to be done twice. We are out of pocket on this job. Really disappointed in the whole scenario, why install something knowing it’s not right and then after tell you it shouldn’t have been installed where it was as it wasn’t gut work and you are told that by the installer. This experience has left a bad taste in our mouthed unfortunately and out of pocket.

When installation is placed on an order, we do try our best to arrange installation as close to and near the delivery date of the shed where possible.

However, we can see from your order that the supplier in this case Power, sent the shed out to you extremely fast within 5 days from ordering.

Given the demand on our Installation Team at the time it was not possible to do an installation in such a short period of time.

You will note from our website it states that “The current lead time for installation, following successful delivery is within 10 – 15 working days (2 to 3 weeks from order)”. This is marked on all the Power Sheds across the website under the “delivery information tab”.

When such a situation arises like this when the shed arrives before the installation date of the unit, we do ask the customer where possible to keep the unit stored in a dry and secure location ready for the installation of the building.

We do apologise if you feel the installation didn’t happen as quickly than anticipated.

Ignore claims it’s easy to put up



There’s some misleading marketing for this shed - it implies it is self-assembly and that professional installation is not essential, but when we complained about some of the issues we experienced, the responses blamed us for not paying for a shed assembler to do it. The instructions supplied were poor and in contradiction to those on the official ABSCO YouTube channel. Anyone considering buying one should be aware of the large amount of drilling new holes required (for a shed that the company claims is 'Too easy' to install).

A lot of our prepunched holes actually had not been properly punched and the middle sheet of our roof was incorrectly named (wrong code printed on it).

Some of the panels were scratched. The struts that are supposed the hold the roof up are useless and - like the rest of the shed - have incredibly sharp edges.

Getting our doors to close properly was only possible after a lot of unscrewing, re-aligning, experimenting etc.

We are sorry to hear that you had issues assembling your Absco Metal Bicycle Shed.

ABSCO sells thousands of these units globally and are indeed marketed for “DIY assembly” by a competent person that knows how to assemble such products. The majority of its products are built without problems.

We can see assistance was provided to you when we forwarded your concerns over to the manufacturer as you didn’t purchase installation with your shed.

The manufacturer came back to us informing that you could return the product back to them on the understanding the unit was dismantled and placed back it is original box. The unit needed to be in the same condition as it was sent out to you in order for them to collect it.

Once the item was returned back and inspected a full refund would have been given.

However, from our emails we can see that you declined returning the product back informing us that the unit was “fully assembled and built”.

Only if a product is returned back are you entitled to a refund or exchange on any product you purchased as you still have the goods in your possession.

If the bicycle shed had been returned, you would have been offered a full refund. However, you declined to return the product back when the option was presented.

Given this information very little more can be done if you are declining the return of a product.
