Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 224 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with the service, describing it as misleading, with job postings often being inaccurate or irrelevant to their experience. People frequently reported issues with the payment process, noting that initial charges were often followed by demands for additional, hidden fees for services that were not clearly explained or delivered. Reviewers felt that the staff, particularly relationship managers, were unhelpful and primarily focused on additional charges, often making promises about jobs that were not met. The website itself was criticized for facilitating these issues, with many feeling that their money was wasted and that the services provided no actual benefit in their job search. However, some customers also noted positive experiences, particularly with resume writing services, finding them effective and helpful in securing interview calls. A few other people also felt that the platform was a good job portal, providing relevant databases and opportunities, and even recommended it for job changes or internships.

Fraud Alert

Fraud Alert – Fake Jobs and Paid Scam

Shine Job Portal is completely misleading and fraudulent. They lure job seekers by promising quick job placements and then force you to pay for so-called “premium services,” claiming you’ll get a job within a few days.

Once the payment is done, they stop responding, avoid calls, and provide zero support. No interviews, no follow-ups, nothing.

Most importantly, the job postings on their portal are fake. Companies mentioned either don’t exist or have no connection with Shine.

This is completely a scam site dont pay…

This is completely a scam site dont pay even a single penny.
I got a call from Harsh who works at Shine (sales). He promised me to give services with ~3300 for 6 months. I paid. After that while guiding further, now they are asking ~6900. I was never told that there is more payment needed for services.
Its just a scam. They keep asking money, there is no real guidance etc. Dont get fooled. I've already lost money here.

Worst fake service

Worst fake service. Based on the information available online, the concerns appear to be completely valid. This service is misleading and raises serious questions about its legitimacy. Initially, I was told that ₹3,675 was the final payment for the ‘Application Booster Package’ for job search. Later, additional services were introduced without explanation, and an extra amount of ₹4,400 is now being demanded without any prior notice. Please dont waste your money there.. i see real-story those who lost more than 50k.

Transparency issue, never told clearly

I will increase the rating - i am not going anywhere.
Let me give basic highlights
I got call marketing team told all details he asked to pay 3669/- 6 month plan i paid.
He assigned RM who asked 6500/- which i declined he got upset.
Now key catch here is why he didn't asked total amount in one shot.
RM said if u pay 6500 u will get call else paying 3669 it will be as usual then what is the difference between paid user and unpaid user both looks same.

I took service will wait for +ve response to increase my rating, i will surely do if things get as told.
I am not shine enemy but there is transparency issue which i clearly get to know.

The worst company I have ever come across. They don’t even answer calls or talk after you pay them. They don’t do anything for your profile. They take payments one by one it is the biggest scam ever. They have scammed 9k from me and want me to pay another 9k now for more disappointment. Make your own profile never trust this company. Prachi was my Rm worst way of talking and kept asking me to pay for services extremely bad clientele approach. Onkar was my point of contact only has made false promises to me.

Dark sales tactics to lure people looking for jobs

TL;DR: I lost ₹1 Lakh to Shine.com’s "recruitment services." It is a systematic trap designed to exploit the Sunk Cost Fallacy. They start small (₹6k) and escalate to ₹38k+ chunks while keeping you on the call so you can’t think. I have filed a Consumer Court case, but I am posting this to save your money.

The Background: I thought paying a premium to a "reputed" agency like Shine would filter out the noise and give me access to executive/exclusive listings. This was my first mistake.

The Modus Operandi (The "Slicing" Tactic): They do not ask for ₹1 Lakh upfront. They slice it into smaller amounts to bypass your fraud radar.

The Hook (₹6,000): They called offering "Exclusive Job Opportunities" that aren't public. The entry fee was low. I paid.

The Escalation (₹9,000): Immediately after, I was told I needed a "Profile Verification" to activate the previous service.

The Pressure (₹18,000): Then came the "Senior Consultant" charge.

The Trap (₹29,000 & ₹38,000): By this point, I was deep in the Sunk Cost Fallacy. My brain said, "If I don't pay this next amount, the previous ₹30k is wasted." They kept me on the call the entire time to prevent me from verifying details or thinking rationally.

The Reality of the Service:

No Exclusivity: The "exclusive" jobs are either fake or publicly available on LinkedIn/company carrier pages for free. Validated this later by checking posts on grahakcomplaints and trustpilot

Dark Patterns: They use fear and urgency to force payments.

Legal Action I Have Taken: I realized I was being targeted and stopped paying. I have done the following:

Consumer Complaint: Filed a grievance via the National Consumer Helpline (NCH).

Evidence: I have preserved the call recordings (where they pressure me) and the payment trail. They are now trying to stall me by asking for my recordings

Key Takeaways for You:

NEVER Pay for a Job: Legitimate recruiters get paid by the employer, not the candidate. If they ask you for money, it is a scam.

Hang Up Immediately: If they say "pay X to unlock Y," cut the call.

Sunk Cost is Real: If you paid ₹5k and they ask for ₹5k more, lose the ₹5k. Do not throw another ₹5k after it. The hole has no bottom.

To Shine.com Representatives reading this: I am not settling for a partial refund. I am taking this to the legal conclusion.

BEWARE! Professional Scammers – Lost 1.5 Lakhs to Fraudulent Tactics

I am writing this to warn everyone: Do NOT trust Shine.com. They are running a sophisticated financial trap designed to bleed customers dry under the guise of "career services."
Their strategy is a classic bait-and-switch scam:
They started by asking for a "minimal" fee of ₹4,000 to get me interested. Once they had my first payment, they demanded ₹7,000 more, then another ₹20,000, explicitly promising that each payment would be the "final" one.
When I tried to stop, they used emotional and financial blackmail, telling me that if I didn’t pay more, all the money I had already paid would be "wasted" and non-refundable.
They continued this cycle until they had extracted ₹1.52 Lakhs from me.

I received zero services in return. There is no consideration for the customer; they are simply hunters looking for their next victim.

Warning regarding staff:
A person identifying as Nikhil Singh (Relationship Manager) was central to this. He was instrumental in pushing these demands and leading me into this trap.
This is not a career service; it is a financial scam. They prey on job seekers' hopes to extort massive amounts of money. Please, save your hard-earned money and stay far away from Shine.com.

Most fraud company

Most fraud company - Don't listen to those bluff stories saying they will provide job opportunities within 2 weeks. Initially called to my wife who is looking for change and they said paid service for 4999 and later one guy from shine called and conveyed to us as dedicated person and on call he has taken 1.5 L for unnecessary course.

It started with 50K for some courses and later went upto 1L and then 1.5L .. We tried to drop at 30K but he said it won't return and only one more package we have to take and like this it went on. I have recorded all the conversation and the way he took the amount.

After heavy fight and i told that it was recorded then call transferred to another person some lead, and she replied over email that no more amount we have to pay (1.5L)

After amount paid there were no call from that bluff guy and used to send few recommendations (useless) job posting of 1-2 or 5L per annum.
