MBTs forever…
I have used MBT shoes for my walking exercise for years. They really do improve posture, balance and strength in the legs. I would not be without a pair of MBTs for all the world!
Correct and quick
Zero. In my view not fit for purpose.
Zero. Zero. Zero. The sole, the “patented technology” can literally fall out while walking... and they refuse to supply a replacement. Over £200 spent. They now say only 2 years warranty only and you have to use carefully (these were hiking boots!!!) and frequently. I’d used 3-4 times only and literally the soles disappeared without trace on a walk. Needless to say there were no such warnings, such warnings would be unreasonable in my view and make them not fit for purpose. I see many folk have experienced similar. I think there’s a case to answer.

A pair of trainers and a pair of shoes…
A pair of trainers and a pair of shoes have disinteigrated and unwearable. Neither pair had any damage to cause this it just happened. Given the ridiculously high price paid, this should not happen
Dreadful customer service, no pickup 6 weeks into process
Ordered a pair of shoes about 6 weeks ago. They arrived within one week, but the size is wrong. Despite measuring my feet and using the size chart from MBT's website, the actual shoe was about 1.5 sizes too small. A production / labelling error I assume. If you want to exchange shoes, MBT will organise a pickup via DPD. Despite sending daily emails to the MBT customer services team, they have not been helpful at all to organise the pickup. One day, I got a call from DPD saying they are here to collect the shoes, but I wasn't in because MBT didn't tell me that the pickup was scheduled for the day. The only information MBT will give about the pick up is "Monday to Friday between 8 and 18:00". Clearly they are expecting you to sit at home with your box of shoes waiting for them to pick up; 10 hours per day for a week.
The only transaction that worked smoothly was them taking the purchase price from my credit card.
No apology, no refund, and I still have the shoes that are far too small.
AVOID AT ALL COST! NOT WORTH THE HASSLE.

The mid sole of my MBT's has suddenly crumbled to dust, the rest of the shoe is perfect. There is no remedy, avoid these at all costs

I now have had 3 pair of MTB shoes where the inside of the sole has crumbled but the rest of the shoe is perfect. I love walking in these shoes but the simply do not last long enough to justify their cost. I am told they cannot be repaired. DO NOT BUY MBT!
These are a total waste of money
These are a total waste of money. This is my second pair as I was foolish to think I was just unlucky with the first pair. These trainers cannot be worn in the rain as the soles will just desintigrate. Do not listen to the hype about drying thorough and all will be well. They are an over priced piece of junk. Please save your cash and by pass this garbage
MBT SANDALS ASSUMED UK BUT WAS BARCELONA
Ordered 2 pairs of sandals at a cost of 189 each.
One arrived not only heavy but vile and did not instantly feel comfy. For that money...back it went.
Returns policy did not check 1st mistake. 16.95 insured it cost to return to Barcelona!
So no shoes and out of pocket.
Customer service...they do not know meaning of this. Poor communication. Almost begging email daily asking to credit me as arrived there 10 days ago!!
Today a month after had my refund.

I bought several pairs of these shoes when I found out MBT was going out of business about 5 years ago. Since I have bad ankle pain and they gave me some relief i figured it was worth it even thought it cost me about 450 pounds.
After wearing the shoes between 20 - 50 times the midsole cushion disintegrated. MBT would not replace the shoes even though they confirmed that this was a manufacturing defect.
Bad quality high priced shoes.

Soles have disintegrated
Soles have disintegrated like other reviews on here, and still plenty of wear left in the sole. Uppers are fine as i looked after these shoes and kept them clean, Now i will throw them away. I would even consider getting them repaired if there was a repair service available.
So they are just an expensive throwaway, and i wonder were they that good anyway, or just another high tech hype.

Throw away shoes
Very bad experience I have bought 3 pairs of shoes over about ten years they all had the same manufacture flaw. The sponge is man made and degrades very quickly and cannot be repaired I took mine to a cobbler who explained that at least 3 pairs a week are seen in this state crumbling inner soles that rust open. These are very expensive throw away shoes. There is no customer service number to raise concerns. I will be going to trading standards and ask that they ban manufacturers from making shoes that simply cannot be repaired. The greed game is coming to and end. Watch this space.

I bought a pair of MBT shoes and within 9 months the sole edges had burst open. MBT said they couldn't make a refund because the shoes hadn't been dried properly and because of their age, The shoes had gortex in them to keep out the wet. Please do not buy these shoes, they are rubbish.

Never have I ever had such a bad experience in my life then with mbt. Bought shoes from there a few years ago no problem. Bought from them last week, problem. Ordered and they sent the wrong size, I ordered size 3, they sent 2.5, showed them the pic. I’m thinking it’s fine, mistakes happen. Was expecting an apology and exchange and instead I get told that they did send the right size but “they guess that the fitting was not as expected” well maybe mbt ITS BECAUSE YOU SENT THE WRONG SIZE. The arrogance of this service did not stop here. They already arranged a collection from DHL to pick the item up the next day told me I will get an email of the labels to stick on the box ready for the collection. Those labels never arrived on email and I had DHL at my door waiting for the parcel. I asked several times for a phone call back from the manager, that was also ignored. Once they received the item back. They said to me “no replacement order has been arranged for you as it never previously requested by you in your emails”. There was no chance for me to request this as you sent a courier to my house the next day. Not once did you give me this option and not once did you apologise and accept responsibility. I warn everyone do not shop with this company they will mess your order up, they won’t treat you with respect or apologise. They were very arrogant so please avoid at all costs.

I bought a pair of MBTs from a reputable shoe shop about 5 years ago and I was fairly impressed having foot\back issues and I used them for perhaps 6 miles worth of walking. I put them away for a year whilst I had a foot op and when I went back to using them found they caused me quite severe sciatica so I put them at the back of the wardrobe.
I recently brought them out to try them but found that the spongy heel part on both shoes had burst open and had disintegrated.
Soon after the first pair, I saw a pair in TKMax for about £50 my size and bought them too. Likewise they have disintegrated in same place both shoes after similarly minimum use.
They are pricey and this is obviously a fault with them so I would not recommend them.
MBT shoes
My wife and I both recently bought MBT shoes and almost immediately the spongy shoe sensors on the heel began disintegrating. A quick Google search shows that this is obviously a MAJOR problem with many customers, and there is little that can be done. Some years ago my wife's first pair of MBT shoes lasted well for a number of years, but clearly now the quality is rubbish as regards the heel sensors. An expensive product that very quickly becomes worthless
Great shoes but awful service
I've been wearing MBT shoes for a number of years due to foot problems and find the actual shoes are great.
However the customer service is absolutely atrocious. I have just purchased some sandals after receiving an incentive voucher to try out the 'new' website. After twice putting in my credit card details and receiving a message that the payment was unsuccessful I then tried with paypal which went through. Turning to my email I then received three confirmation orders for three pairs of the exact same sandals.
Clearly the 'new' website is not working properly! I have called, emailed, and messaged on facebook to ask the company to cancel two of the orders but with absolutely no response. No one answers the telephone line.
For my last order 6 months ago I received no shoes for a couple of weeks and when I contacted them was told I would receive a discount for the wait. This never came through.
My relationship with MBT may be finally at an end...
UPDATE - I eventually received a response via email, and received both my shoes and a refund for the extra pairs purchased erroneously. Once I had email contact they were fairly efficient and the shoes arrived quickly. They actually did not fit and they arranged a second pair to be delivered plus pick up (free of charge) for the too large pair. My relationship with MBT is back on!
