Phoned my prescription over two weeks…

Phoned my prescription over two weeks ago. I check on it today. It hasn’t even been ordered yet. The woman I talked to is oh I don’t know who did it. Well, I’m pretty sure it was her. This is at the Cambria mall Sault Ste. Marie Ontario. Looks like I’ll be having to find a new pharmacy. I can’t deal with that kind of incompetence.

Complaint Regarding Unfair Experience at Shoppers Drug Mart – Country Hills, Calgary

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to express our disappointment and concern regarding an unsatisfactory and unfair experience we had at the Shoppers Drug Mart store located at Country Hills, Calgary.
On April 14, 2025, my wife and I visited the store’s photo studio to have photographs taken for our Canadian citizenship applications. The signage in the studio clearly advertised services for “citizenship photographs.” However, we were each issued only one printed copy of our photograph. The digital images were saved to my personal USB drive only because I specifically requested it.
After beginning the online application process at home, we realized that each application requires two printed copies of the photograph. Accordingly, we returned to the store today, April 29, 2025, to request the additional copies. We were fully prepared to pay for the extra copy, if necessary.
To our surprise, we were informed that the original photos had been deleted from their system and could not be retrieved. When I offered the digital copies from my USB drive, the staff said their system was not able to print from external USB devices.
I then requested to take new photos and provide two copies and a refund for the initial incomplete service. The photographer on duty acknowledged that it was an error not to have provided two copies in the first place and confirmed that citizenship applications indeed require two copies.
At that point, another member named Naomi intervened. She was firm in stating that a refund could not be issued and referred to our original photos as “digital copies,” though she did not explain her reasoning clearly. She also claimed that the store only provides “passport photos,” which directly contradicted the studio’s signage indicating “citizenship photographs.” When I pointed this out, she abruptly changed her explanation.
In the end, we had no choice but to retake our photos and pay the full price again. There was no refund or acknowledgement of the previous oversight, and we were left feeling dismissed and disappointed by the lack of accountability.
We find it unreasonable to be charged twice due to a service error and hope that Shoppers Drug Mart will take corrective action. We also suggest that clearer procedures and training be put in place to avoid similar situations for other customers.
We trust this matter will be reviewed seriously and look forward to your response.
Sincerely,

I usually shop frequently at Shopper’s but I will be going shopping at other drug stores now. Get this ….i used to bring my dogs in with me cause the neighbourhood is high crime but now one of the employees told me there is a no pet policy. Yes Shopper’s like ALL OTHER DRUG STORES have food on shelves. Has Shopper’s become a restaurant where food is prepared. GUESS NOT. All other drug stores allow dogs so that is where I will be going. Ridiculous policy. Why don’t they do something about theft and violence in their stores. That would make more sense then creating a policy that makes no sense Goodbye Shopper’s

Hespler Rd Cambridge not helpful

I have gone to the shoppers drug mart store onHespeler Rd twice and I have had very poor customer service. The first time we went on seniors day and stood at the self check out and waited for the lady at the cash area. When she finally acknowledged us she came over and said” you can’t do seniors discount at self check out” “ you will have to wait in line at the cash register”! We have employees in the Guelph store who provides this for customers that use self checkout. The next time we were ignored again at checkout while the same lady at cash stood talking to another employee . I final knocked on a door to the employee only area and a lady came to the door and looked at me like I was an idiot. I will not go to the store again. I will stick to the Guelph friendly staff store.

Shoppers Drug Mart at Oxford & Hyde Park,London

I went in for my appointment to get a vaccine injection. I was told there was a $20 fee for the injection. They hadn't told me about the fee when I came in the previous week to order the vaccine. I had already booked time off work that day and could not book further time to get it done at my doctor's office so I had Shoppers do it. I asked to be credited the $20 and they advised me to call back to next day to speak to the manager Eric. Eric refused, he was very hard-nosed and did not seem to care about the customer service implications. I could have gone to Costco pharmacy and paid $186 (instead of $224) but I had already placed the prescription with Shoppers and did not want them to have to throw it out (it is refrigerated.) I won't pull all of my business from Shoppers but I will definitely reduce it. Quite disappointing.

Probably the most fraudulent company around, gets you to use their PC Optimum Rewards scheme, then freeze your account for no reason, do not assist you with unfreezing, and even one undereducated moron on the phone asked us to change our password on our personal GMAIL account, honestly how stupid are they and how fraudulant are they, Canadian Company stealing from Canadian citizens, great in the current environment.

Shoppers drug mart sucks. They never have anything in stock. And it takes 3 hours to get your prescription.. the only good thing about them. Is they're open late and 7 days a week? That's about it other than that they suck

Shoppers drugmart watch where u park

Manager of
Shoppers drugmart
@25 B Elgin street
sudbury ontario
Must be the worst location I've ever experienced. I dont remember ever going to a shoppers drug mart and when I park in a disabled parking spot, with a sticker, walk in buy something, then walk across the street for the show and come back to my veichle. To a boot on my tire and a number to call. With 160$ ticket that can only be paid in cash or debit and they dont except credit. Is got to be the biggest bullshit I've seen. So for that. I and my family will be boy cotting all shoppers drugmarts for now on. There are plenty other pharmacies I can use, who are much friendlier and respect their customers who come and shop at there stores.

I had a fantastic shopping experience at Shoppers drug mart,298 John street,Thornhill. The seller, « Bahareh » was incredibly kind and patient, taking the time to guide me through the products without rush. « Bahareh »shared her own experiences and feedbacks from other customers, which helped me choose the best options for my needs. Every product she recommended from the cosmetics and creams to the shampoo, has been amazing, and I am so happy with my purchase.I truly appreciate her effort and kindness 🥰 I will definitely be shopping here again. Highly recommend!

Michelle & Alison Discrimination

Avoid Shoppers Drug Mart store #311 at 815 17 Ave SW, Calgary, Alberta. The store manager, Michelle Delamere, creates a toxic workplace where white employees get special treatment while others are ignored and treated unfairly. Hardworking staff from diverse backgrounds are disrespected, while her favorites get away with anything. Even customers face poor service and double standards. The owner, Alison Davison, refuses to address these issues, showing she doesn’t care about her employees. This store has no fairness, no respect, and clear discrimination.

I'd give a zero

I'd give a zero, but that option isn't available. I ordered online and received the wrong product. Also, it was an offer if I spent a certain amount, I earned extra points. I have emailed them 5 times, taken a survey, asked to be contacted, and phoned them once. What they have decided to do was, take away my points earned and refund me the cost of the wrong item. Not good enough Shoppers, not good enough. I have mobility issues and have NO way of getting what I ordered without spending $30 on cabs to do so!

If I could give a 0 I would

If I could give a 0 I would. I had a brutal experience recently with Shoppers Drug Mart, in Chilliwack BC & will not be continuing my services (after a 3 decades of loyalty). I ordered a product online, perfume. Used points (220,000). It arrived. Not the right scent for me. Within days I went to exchange the product & was turned away. I was told to drive around to other Shoppers locations “where the specific brand was sold” for an exchange….how would I know which store carries what brands, it was bought online? Eventually found the store that carries the brand. Brought the perfume in, with original packing & the receipt, to the store that sold the brand. No exchanges allowed. Contrary to everything listed online about a 30 return/ exchange policy, stating that it won’t be a problem, it is. The customer service was terrible, I’d of liked to slap the b#*ch of a beauty consultant for the condescending attitude given, for the simple request of an exchange. I am a veteran with PTSD. I have a service dog when I go out, as I am easily triggered. I order most products online & am overly grateful for this option as I continue to manage symptoms. I can’t believe how this situation played out. I was told to take the perfume to the Canada Post within the same Shoppers Drug Mart, & pay for a return….. so staff can walk a bottle of perfume over to the beauty counter, to make the return…..after I pay for shipping. I will be reporting to the Better Business Bureau. I can’t imagine how badly this unethical system will take advantage of those who are easy targets. Disabled people. Seniors perhaps. Likely. Disgusting. BUYERS BEWARE!!

Don't buy anything online!!

Purchased a $260 perfume online at Shoppers. The package came reeking like cigarette smoke!! I went to the store to do an exchange and was told I had to refund and re-buy. I would lose the 40,000 optimum points promo I got and the $40.00 in points I had redeemed will go back to a gift card. Why do I have to lose the 40,000 points cause you cant do a simple exchange? Why not use reputable shipping companies with policies in place regarding drivers smoking in their cars? I decided to return and will buy elsewhere. I rather pay more somewhere else, its the principal here. Your staff also very rude in store. I told them I didn't want the $40.00 points I redeemed to go into a gift card cause their cards are always frauded. Employee told me last week they found a whole shelf full of fake $500.00 Amazon cards!! Says not enough staff in store to monitor. Never buy from them again, they don't care about customers! I even sent 2 emails asking about the points I would lose and no one bothered to respond!!!

I am writing to express my deep…

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the way your stores treat loyal customers. I recently purchased two hair sprays from a Shoppers location, only to discover that one of them was defective. Naturally, I went to the nearest Shoppers store to my home, expecting a simple exchange.

To my surprise, I was informed that an exchange was not possible, and I would have to receive a refund and repurchase the product. While this was already inconvenient, I agreed. However, when I proceeded to buy the exact same product (same brand and type), I was shocked to find that the price had increased—by double the amount I had originally paid.

I explained to the store that this made no sense. It was not my fault that Shoppers had sold me a defective product, yet I was being forced to pay more just to get what I had originally purchased. The store manager coldly stated that I had to either pay the new price or return to the original store where I had made my purchase.

This is completely unacceptable. As a customer, I buy from Shoppers as a brand, not from individual, unrelated stores. It is unreasonable to expect customers to know that pricing and policies vary between locations, especially when dealing with a faulty product sold by your company. Instead of standing behind your merchandise and ensuring customer satisfaction, you are shifting the burden onto the buyer.

Situations like this are exactly why so many retail stores are struggling. If Shoppers cannot provide fair and consistent service, I see no reason to continue shopping with your brand.
