Will never purchase another gift card…

Will never purchase another gift card here again. I bought an amazon gift card for a client in the store. My client tried to use it and found it was already used. Both Amazon and shoppers drug mart refuse to refund my money or help me. Buy your gift cards somewhere more reliable. Disappointed.

Dont ever buy a gift card at Shoppers Drug Mart!!!!
I got one for Christmas, it had been tampered with and was not good. Shoppers has completely ignored this issue. I have the card, I have the receipt and nothing.
My mother wasted $200 at Shoppers and they wont stand behind what they sell.

Very bad customer service resolution.Order merchandise online for delivery…

Order merchandise online for delivery and never received it.
Spoke to customer service and told them my issue.
Supervisor called back and told me the order was delivered. But never received it.
The delivery company sent me a email and stated that the package will be delivered between 7 and 8 pm. Never received any thing.
Next email was received from the delivery company at 8:15pm, stated that they were unable to deliver the package that day.

Pharmacy is poorly trained

Pharmacy is poorly trained. Told them my daughter couldn't take a specific antibiotic and the tech argued with me loudly. Grilled me on why I thought she was 'allergic'. Wanted to know the symptoms of the reaction then tried to explain to me that it wasn't a true allergic reaction and it was ok to take the antibiotic. That she was going to remove the allergy from their system because it was slowing down her ability to enter the prescription. Apparently this pharmacy tech thought they were not only a doctor but a specialist in allergic reactions. If it wasn't so serious it would be comical. They were maybe 20 years old and it looked like maybe their first or second day. Be very careful, ask questions, read labels and know what YOU need not what they think you need.

Went above and beyond with her patience and understanding:
I am an indigenous woman who has faced plenty of discrimination:
Elizabeth was kind and helpful: I will continue to use Shoppers Drug Mart from now on::
She has made me a loyal customer 😁

Unbelievable, they send completely used up, empty bottles

This was my first time buying online from shopper drug mart and it was fun and easy. The package arrived relatively quickly. With my purchase, I should have received 3 samples + one mascara sample. I chose perfume samples and was looking forward to trying them. To my utter disbelief, one of the samples (valentino, vega viva) was completely empty, a completely empty bottle placed in a box. I can't understand how someone can do something like that, obviously someone who works on parcels takes samples, uses them and then sends empty bottles to the costumers. So, I would definitely think twice before ordering anything from Shoppers Drug Mart again.

Scams involving Amazon gift cards purchased at Shoppers Drug Mart.

Approximately two months ago, I purchased an Amazon gift card from a cashier at Shoppers Drug Mart rather than from the public display. When I attempted to activate the card, Amazon informed me that the card had already been activated.

Shoppers Drug Mart advised me to contact Amazon directly, citing its policy of not accepting returns or refunds on gift cards. I then contacted Amazon and provided all requested documentation, including proof of purchase and photographs of the card.

Over the following two months, I repeatedly followed up with Amazon regarding the issue. Although my case was escalated multiple times, no resolution was provided. Now, nearly three months later, I have been told by an Amazon representative that I must dispute the matter with Shoppers Drug Mart instead.

Unfortunately, both companies appear to rely on their internal policies, leaving consumers without protection or resolution. Meanwhile, fraudulent activity continues, and customers bear the financial loss.

Please be cautious when purchasing gift cards, as this situation could happen to anyone.

Each Shoppers Drug Mart store is independently owned and prices vary widely and not what you see online!

Each Shoppers Drug Mart store is individually owned by a franchisee. The online prices, both original and sale, are usually not what the customer sees in-store, which are generally higher. Every store manager I have asked about this discrepancy has said that online prices apply only to online purchases and that each store franchisee is allowed to set their own prices. Although every store allows shoppers to purchase items online, not every store offers pickup.
For seniors looking to save more, Shoppers offers a 20% discount on almost all regular-priced merchandise every Thursday for seniors aged 55 and older with a valid PC Optimum Card. Also, if one has a no-fee credit card that offers 2% cash-back on pharmacy purchases, use that card instead of others that do not offer these savings.
Even with the seniors' discount, it is best to research whether other retailers offer the same item for less. For those on certain prescription medications like ASA, it may be better to purchase them out of pocket rather than pay the $8.83 refill fee every time.

Unreliable pharmacist

This is specifically for the Stonehaven location in Newmarket, Ontario.
Today was the second time when, after registering with this pharmacy for a Covid vaccine, I went there for nothing. The pharmacist said that they didn't receive the vaccines from the minister.
I consider that the pharmacist is a bad manager of the resources and probably he orders vaccines on a too short notice.
Since I am here posting a bad review for this specific location, I need to add that absolutely every time when I ordered medications with them, they miscount them - generally, less than ordered. Once they even gave me the wrong medication.
AVOID Stonehaven location in Newmarket.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE / hour wait for prescription

this morning Sunday may 10,2026 at approximately 0805 AM ( please check call recordings at their location) i called in and spoke to an individual name reetika kashyap in which i requested my prescription to be filled, after giving my information to her , she automatically informed me that it'll take an hour because she just opened the store, i then asked why would it need to take so long , i am already on the way , and she said and i quote " because i have other waiters , they are more important what dont you get?" i then responded by saying excuse me? are you insinuating that i am stupid? she then replied by saying " well yeah because i am trying to explain to you.." i then cut her off in disbelief and told her she is demeaning me , she then hung up the phone . i arrived at the location already recording for my safety and proof, as i approached the counter , i confirmed on camera if she is the one who hung up the phone and violated my civil rights , she then said yes with a nonchalant attitude , the store manager name yesh who is also of east Asian decent automatically gang up on me without hearing my side of the story and told me to stop recording , i refused as he made me feel uncomfortable, i then requested to speak to the pharmacy manager in which yesh said he is the manager and i said to call the pharmacy manager in which he refused and told me to stop recording or else he is calling the police , as he was calling the police , they went behind the counter whispering and making faces to gaslight the situation , when i requested all of my prescriptions she only gave me one and refused to give me my anxiety/depression medication. and when i informed her that i will be filing a complaint to the college of pharmacy she said and i quote " i don't care go ahead " with a smirk on her face as if she won't be penalized nor is the situation serious to her, i also requested for her to apologize and she said no for what ?

Rude staff in the pharmacy

Rude staff in the pharmacy, I'm on quite a bit of medication that me and my doctor are fine with, apparently it's too much for the pharmacy, I've been insulted about the need for them, and they treat me like an addict. They think they know better than my doctor, even having never examined me, I'm in my 70's, they expect me to be in pain for the remainder of my life. Horrible

Frustration and disappointing...

I consistently suffer negative experiences with Shoppers drug mart. Their app is pitiful, glitchy, and seldom works. I implemented MFA and the verification service is consistently "down"... So I can't log in. This is only one example of the pathetic offering from this company. The pharmacy staff are often rude and treat customers as if they are "bothering" them when they come to pick up prescriptions and PAY them... The irony is pathetic. We are in a very sad state in this sector of the Canadian retail economy, and Shoppers/Loblaws corporation is the biggest offender.

Consistently rude service …

Consistently rude service from behind the prescription counter at Upper James Shoppers Drug Mart in Hamilton. In contrast, the staff at the cash registers and the post office are consistently helpful and friendly.

Shoppers Drugmart introduced me to my last straw. This unfortunate saga is in its 15 th…

This unfortunate saga is in its 15 th week and has finally come to a close. I had a $25 gift card that had been replaced by an updated version much to my surprise. I asked to speak with the store manager and was told that I could only receive resolution by calling head office myself. She claimed that I had more clout than her. ( sad but true). I started my journey right away on the phone and after much deliberation was promised a new card in the mail. 2 weeks went by and I tri d again. Another 2 weeks went by and the frustration was mounting. Another 2 weeks go by and I called back again and this time I asked to speak to a supervisor and was assured that the problem would be dealt with. Well, I was lied to by 3 different employees. My next attempt was to email the card department. It took 2 weeks to get a response and was told again that my problem would be dealt with and that a replacement card would be sent and it would likely take 2 more weeks. I received it today and once it’s redeemed, I’ll never step foot in a Shoppers store again for the rest of my life. If you check out reviews for Google and Trust Pilot, not a positive word is written. A store that only sells Western medicine along with mostly junk food ought to be ashamed of themselves but somehow I think they justify it. I’m done.

Waiting for pharmacist appt

Waiting for pharmacist appt. Was booked for 5:05pm. Came 20 min early. 5:15 still waiting. Previous customer was into my scheduled appt time.
Then pharmacist left. At 5:30pm I went to prescription pick up counter asking about my appt. Was told to have a seat by pharmacy tech. At this point now waiting 45 mins.
5:35pm another pharmacist said if it's just prescription refill then he would do it on computer for me. 2nd pharmacist returned, came out of consult room and called my name for my appointment. 30 minutes past appointment time.
Told pharmacist that was already helping me that this has been the shittiest. service I have ever had. Since the pharmacy changed hand in the previous year, the staff are more ethnic and have to repeat name and birthdate multiple times before they can find me in the computer.
