Considering 146 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers often express deep frustration regarding rude behavior from pharmacy employees and excessively long waiting times in stores. People also struggle significantly with unhelpful online customer support, disorganized service processes, and difficulties reaching a real person. Though some reviewers were happy with the assistance, they mentioned that certain staff members provided polite and professional service. severe shoulder issues…

Ended up with severe shoulder issues following covid vaccination 4 weeks ago. Now on pain meds, going to physio twice a week. Believe this is called Sirva, shoulder injury related vaccine administration. It wasn't given properly and this can last for months. Never have I been this sore, can't use this arm, hurts constantly.

I have been a customer of Shoppers Drug…

I have been a customer of Shoppers Drug Mart at Walkely and Bank Street for almost 30 years, I have always waited days to get my meds and I prepared for that, yesterday was different I got oral surgery and I needed the prescription before the anesthesia worn off and pain will be intolerable, I explained this to the pharmacy team, he said we are very busy go to another pharmacy where they can give it to you faster I said why? This has been my pharmacy for so many years, its only a few pills (20) , could you make an exception due to my situation, he said NO if you want come back in a couple of hours I might have it ready then. With so much pain I took tylenol and advil so I did not go to get it , too late!
My point is can they be a bit more empathetic and have more consideration , I don’t want to have a VIP treatment but as a Senior, after dental surgery and asking him to do that great favour, Its just so incredible the coldness of treatment and a pharmacy and is not for free either!

Thank you, Linda.

Rude customer treatment

I will be travelling abroad this evening so around 6 AM in the morning I was welcomed to fill out all forms and consent for covid vaccine on the website of 13070 Yonge st.(location closest to me) for walk in. I got there around 10AM and a guy at the pharmacy told me there is no vaccine for walk ins. I was upset and asked him why then the website said walk in is available. All of a sudden he responded aggressively “seems like you are going to cause trouble” in complete rudness. I asked to speak with the manager but was told that he only comes in on Mondays. So I spoke with someone whose office door was marked “ pharmacy owner” and explained the humiliating way I was treated by the pharmacy staff.

Patients BEWARE!…

After 2 days of waiting for a delivery that was ordered on a prescription that is set to be delivered routinely eavry 2 weeks. The staff and delivery company have failed to make the delivery. Because this medication is detrimental to my health i haven't been able to leave my home for fear of missing the call. DO NOT trust this pharmacy. They wont give you a straight answer and just put the blame on the delivery company and vise versa. No one will take responsibility for there actions and send the medication. How this store is still able to keep their license is beyond me. The store should be shut down or restructured. I have been using shoppers for over 30 years and im honestly thinking of moving to another pharmacy chain. I spend hundreds of dollars a week. So new patients BEWARE!

Shoppers in Sylvan Lake

I went to Shoppers in Sylvan Lake and the pharmacist was able to do blood pressure, cholesterol tests and give me an emergency prescription on the spot. Saves time to go the doctor or walk in clinic

I lived in Montreal all my life till I…

I lived in Montreal all my life till I was 50 I'm now 63 and lived in Ottawa Ontario.
I drove back to Montreal this past Sunday.
I ended up going into a pharmaprix to buy a bottle of cologne.
It was on Jarry Street in the East end and new.
That French was the dominant language in that area since I grew up in Montreal.
But when I went in to the location I was very shocked to hear the person's response when I asked him if they speak English at all.
And her exact word to me was maybe I was very disappointed in that location that the employee didn't even make an effort to speak one word of English to me.
I'm not into politics very much and I know what's going on in Quebec I follow the news.
This visit was very disappointing especially in 2003 to 2005 I worked at PQ 52 the new hook store.
It's funny because I'll go into a shoppers in Ottawa and they'll ask if I speak French or English cuz I try to speak French and they will say okay who will speak to you in English and then I'll speak in English.
I have family that live in the West Island they never have this issue it's a shame that Quebec is coming to this again.

It appears Shoppers Drug Mart Pharmacy…

It appears Shoppers Drug Mart Pharmacy is happy to sell a product on behalf of their suppliers but less willing to support you after the purchase and dispensing fees have been collected. I had a prescription filled in August 2025 for a rosacea cream that has become watery and less effective. The cream was always stored as per the label instructions and less than 75% of the tube consumed. When I returned to the pharmacy to discuss my concern in November 2025 their response was you need to reach out to the supplier. I expected much more than that from a local pharmacy.

Asked pharmacy staff at Polo Park…

Asked pharmacy staff at Polo Park Shopping Centre if I could get a covid shot today. I was told “No” as I didn’t have an appointment. I asked why as there was nobody there with appointments. They said “No Appointment, No Shot”. How do they keep customers? I went to London Drugs where they gave me the Covid shot without an appointment.

Very expensive when you're…

Very expensive when you're charged$11.60 for every medication. After receiving six medications, having to pay over$70 is one third of the almost three hundred dollar bill. Not happy and looking for a new pharmacy.

Information Technology

The staff are ok. I don't have a problem with them. My problem is the degree of astounding incompetence demonstrated by the executives and management in the Information Technology division. They are frequently releasing changes to their website portal that I find hard to believe went through any sort of testing. Do they release beta versions to the public? Honestly, I find the lack of competence in their work to be utterly amazing. My IT group would never have released the sort of garbage that SDM allows and, yes, my company was a multibillion $ organization. Perhaps not completely surprising - another GW2 company.

Great necklace, cosmetician Aaliyah!

I was at the Laird and Industrial street location - 25 Laird - and I was so thrilled to see the cosmetician, Aaliyah, wearing a necklace of Israel! I thought that was great. With all the intimidation and harassment going on in the world, it was refreshing to see that she was proudly wearing a necklace of blessed Israel .

Wow. Shame on their pricing.

Wow. Check your prices folks. Vitamin B6 Jamieson is $27 at Shoppers as apposed to Amazon Jamieson at $9. I have no interest in shopping there and transferring to a different pharmacy as well. Shame on them.

Shoppers Drug Mart on Wilson St

Shoppers Drug Mart on Wilson St. in Ancaster has to be the worst drugstore I have ever been in. Was just treated so rudely by a staff member who walked in front of me several times as I am looking for a particular hair product. Finally I stopped her and asked her for help. (as if it wasn't already obvious) She directed me to pharmacy. huh? So I asked specifically where in pharmacy and she just waved her arm in a general direction. Are these people not trained? She was arrogant and I certainly got the impression that this job was way beneath. I will not EVER return to this Drug Store. It's old and dirty. The only thing its good for is the post office.

Abominable customer service

At Innes Rd, Orleans (On) Shoppers I bought an item for foot care. I didn’t notice the box was unsealed because the box was made of acrylic/transparent plastic. Next day I went to return it, the store didn’t take it. The store’s assistant manager was rude, unprofessional and definitely untrained to deal with customers. He blamed me for picking up an unsealed product. He didn’t want to take responsibility for shelving inappropriate products. Typical of Shoppers, and because of this abominable customer service, I avoid shopping at Shoppers. They are ready to lose business but not improve their customer service.

SDM Southgate Mall Chilliwack BC

SDM Southgate Mall Chilliwack BC. I transfered my prescription from out of the province. My permanent residence is not in BC. I am a retired "snowbird" and come to Chilliwack to stay with my son (who lives here) on my way to winter in Mexico or some sunny clime. Because I gave them my son's address in BC they said they could not bill back to my province's drug coverage for seniors. When I tried to explain further the specifics of my situation I was stonewalled. I was shut down in a very rude manner. The pharmacist or manager would not acknowledge my explanation nor my question nor answer it. She would only repeat the same robotic mantra "We don't do that" over and over. I tried to explain that another pharmacy in Chilliwack did do exaclty that and billed back my senior's plan. (I will return to that pharmacy in the future whenever I am here. I thought Shoppers would be more professional. WRONG!) My explanation got me knowwhere. It was like talking to the proverbial "wall." The person was rude and condescending. I was treated as though I was some kind of ignoramous or perhaps a criminal. I was not abusive nor did I raise my voice. I decided this was getting me nowhere. I was pigeonholed and wasn't getting out of whatever label was being imposed on me. If she had simply taken the time to listen, acknowledge me, and then say "sorry, but we still cannot bill-back your insurance plan" I could have grudgingly accepted that. Perhaps she is right and the former pharmacy was wrong to not charge me anything. But the rudeness and condescension is uncalled for. I paid the price and left very frustrated. I will not return there to purchase anything in the future. I will return to the former pharmacy where I was treated much better, respected and received the full benefits of my insurance whenever I am in BC. BTW None of my meds are narcotics or any kind of pain-killer or psycho-active medication. They are all for a heart condition. I really can't explain the shabby treatment. The woman spoke perfect English so I don't believe this could be chalked up to a "cultural barrier." She was just plain rude.
I should also mention I was told on a Monday when I requested the transfer that I would receive a call or text by Thursday (It is now Sunday) but did not receieve any type of messages?)
