Horrific, avoid at all costs

A promising, convenient way to deliver packages turns into an absolute nightmare when couriers don't turn up on the day they're supposed to, customer service is terrible. Just avoid the whole shambles and go direct with one of the reputable couriers.

Absolutely horrendous

Absolutely horrendous. If the item is lost you're left covering the loss yourself as their "claims team" takes forever to get back to you - if at all. Honestly if I could give zero stars for the service received from Shutl I absolutely would.

404 Customer Service Not Found.

Scam artists. Used twice to post items, first item cost £9.39 to post, and the second 4.17. My Shutl bill arrives at the end of the month and it is £16.06.

Just enough that it isn't worth hours of my time to track them down and get them to redress the wrong amount, but it is enough to leave them a bad review on here so that future customers will know to go elsewhere.

Also; you know it is a company that don't care about customer service when the link in their emails to 'Questions? Contact us' link goes to a 404 - Error not found! page. Breathtaking.

Don't Ignore the thousands of bad reviews - worst customer service I've ever experienced

Don't ignore the thousands of negative reviews detailing the negative experiences of customers of Shutl. You'll regret it, I did. Before I even start my personal review I feel someone has to point out the sheer hypocrisy of the standard format responses from Shutl to all thousands of problems listed on here experienced by the poor, hapless customers of this dreadful company. Check them out. Every single one gets a generic set response saying email them or other placebo nonsense. Guess what happens when you do email them? Zilch. De Nada. Nothing. So ignore the false flag of their email responses under the pretence of wishing to assist in these problems. They will not help you. They will not respond to your email other than an autoresponse to say they received it. Their live chatbot is ALWAYS dead. I've tried countless times. They provide no phone number. It's just something else to frustrate you and waste your time in the hope that you will eventually just grow weary of the whole process and fade away.

Anyone (and there are SO many) who has invoice issues with Shutl on eBay (where they charge you and obfuscate the invoice detail, overcharge, double charge etc.) I suggest you do the following. Go to your Paypal> Settings> Subscriptions> Manage Subscriptions and cancel Shutl. That might get their attention and leaves you free to use a cheaper, faster, more reliable and honest service with actual customer service in the future. It will also stop them taking any more money from you under false pretences (AKA theft).

Personally I've had nothing but infuriating problems. Labels repeatedly refusing to print (so frustrating), even if you try using the print at depot service. Being charged twice. Check those invoices people (they make it very, very hard to find). What company doesn't give you a detailed invoice with your bill? They just give a total amount. Because they count on everyone just paying it. Check their invoices out. I'm not permitted to type a link on here. Double check EVERYTHING. Then move on to a reliable delivery service, or at least one not as unbelievably terrible as this one.

If you have a problem you are in for the long haul and hours of wasted time. I have never, ever known their Livechat to give a response, although it always falsely claims it is available. Any emails will get an autoresponse and then a few days later a complete rebuttal of your problem or ridiculous time wasting tactics. The circle of frustration, finely crafted to wear down the most determined of us.

I got sent invoices to pay when I had…

I got sent invoices to pay when I had no account with them. I used them once with eBay and paid via the link but they conned me to pay an invoice on top of that
.Tbe invoice had another account name as was not for me. . Still waiting for a refund . Then they sent a other fraudulent invoice. I have told PayPal to investigate.
Stay well away.

I can confirm when labels are printed off of eBay via our courier services Hermes, CollectPlus, UPS, UK Mail, DPD and Royal Mail (drop off via the collection office) you do not pay straight away.

We send a monthly invoice around the 12th for all the labels that have been scanned and used in the previous month. The PayPal billing agreement is set up the first time a label is printed. Automatic payment for the invoice will be taken 15 days after the invoices are sent. Royal Mail direct labels are charged at the point of purchase.

We have emailed you further details of why we have charged you as our services have been used.

Used them for all our parcels through…

Used them for all our parcels through eBay. They increased the price for UPS and I didn’t check parcel2go till recently. More fool me, same parcel via parcel2go is £5.39 vs £7.59 with Shutl! Now I don’t mind paying a small (10% max.) premium for the convenience of doing it via eBay but this is a price hike of 40% versus p2g. Crazy. If they lower their costs then maybe I’ll go back. Otherwise forget it!

Used ebay shutl as I trusted it being…

Used ebay shutl as I trusted it being through ebay. Sent an item which turned up at the buyers house smashed to pieces even though I had wrapped it well in bubble wrap, paper and air filled pockets. Asked them for compensation with photos of the item. They refused as its on there no compensation list. Had a look at this list and it seems everything is on it! Their drivers can throw and smash all the parcels as there is no come back for the company. I think ebay need to look at this as they are recommending this service. DON'T USE!!!!

Great idea for convenience of both…

Great idea for convenience of both buyer and seller. However, if your goods are ‘lost in transit’ they have a crystal ball which tells them that your item falls under their ‘no compensation list’. It appears that the only item you would have a chance of claiming for would be a human being!! Putting the link on here isn’t allowed but I advise that you have a read of it, for a laugh if nothing else!
Update - shutl apologise that I think their list is unreasonable. Perhaps we could have a list of things that they deem as unprohibited?? Either way, they haven’t asked me what was in the missing parcel so how would they know it was prohibited?? Anyway, back to Royal Mail for me!

Sick of not getting response to lost…

Sick of not getting response to lost damaged item claims. 3 in 2 weeks. Can't phone them. Extras added to invoice without reason. Had enough of being ripped off.

Worse service ever if you use the royal…

Worse service ever if you use the royal mail service they take money straight away best way but if you use Hermes or ups they bill you month later worse thing to do I sent 4 parcel in a month & then got billed £90 taken from my PayPal account £90 the real value when i booked it was around £35 anyway went to PayPal got my money refunded bottom line avoid shutl 100% go through parcel2go much cheaper to

Can't Contact - Unreliable - Extra Charges 1/10

Can't Contact, Don't attempt the 3 time delivery stated on a lot of items shipped and extra charges all over the place. Hard to track spending. Just ebay making more money. Rubbish and unreliable service as its Hermes and ebay combined. Pay Royal Mail is my advice.

So far so good. No problems as of yet.

Had two deliveries (via Click And Collect; not to my home address) with this courier.

Both instances the items arrived on time and undamaged.

Haven’t had any home deliveries from this courier yet so unable to comment on that.

they don't help with problems for making a claim

sent 3 items all to the same buyer and now shult are saying we don't know what to do as all items are damaged and won't pay even thou paid £100+ for postage!!, so would love to sort it out as i'm paying for a service.

and ive refunded the buyer like ebay says to do so now left out of pocket and shult dont know what they are doing so please get in touch with me and sort this

Huge 'NO COMPENSATION LIST' that covers…

Huge 'NO COMPENSATION LIST' that covers about most things you'd want to send.

I paid extra for insurance cover for a valuable item that sure enough got damaged and sure enough they reckon was on the list.

They don't reply to claims unless chased and don't care.

Avoid!
