Can't rate this company any higher. Had problems with my well travelled
trusty compass that I bought when I was at school more than 40 years ago. I managed to reverse the poles by putting mobile phone and short wave radio in Rucksack. Emailed Sillva regarding repair service as had a bit history behind it. Silva repaired it FOC and even sent me a replacement to use in interim. Only buy Silva compasses now after sales go above and beyond.

Pricing is off on website
Did not compare pricing of batteries before ordering - found out later that most other webshops sells the same battery for half the price…
On the other hand, love Silva products - got three different lamps, a ton of batteries and some bags. :)
No "Extra" miles here.
If you want a company that goes the extra mile this isn't it. Compass developed a massive air bubble. Sent it back. They could identify year of manufacture and yes it was out of warranty so promptly sent it back saying so. They've done nothing wrong but a little offer of say x% off a replacement would have been well received. I went elsewhere for a replacement.
Bought a head torch
Bought a head torch, thought it sometimes came down a bit over my head. Looked for a over head band, could not find it for my model. Wrote a mail, and, Of course! I have one next to me Tove said! give me your address and I will send it straight away. Two days later in my mail. Now the lamp is perfekt!
You sell the first product with adds and click prices, But getting a customer for life, that only customer care and service can do! SILVA you rock!

Very disappointed customer service
Very disappointed customer service. Item not delivered and when I contacted for assistance I was given tracking number and told to call DPD and sort it out myself. Having to process claim through bank as Silva made no effort to help at all.
Poor. Try another manufacturer.
My last three head torches have been Silva and for the first two years they work well. Mine have always been well looked after. Stored well. Good batteries. And never got wet.
At the end of the day, they are just Chinese manufactured crap with no real life use expectancy.
6 years of sticking with them, my advice, try another manufacturer.

UK division have excellent customer service to match their excellent products
Silva's products are world famous for a reason - they are relied on by professionals everywhere. The UK based division have excellent customer service to match, with rapid and informed replies and very quick dispatch. Would definitely use again. Susy from the sales department was very helpful and this helps makes the difference between them and some of their rivals.
Trail Runner Free Hybrid lasted only 5 runs
The design of the entire product is unfortunately just poor. The contact point on your forehead is tiny and sharp, causing a large amount of discomfort/pain. Further, the battery and it's casing are similarly poorly designed causing the electrical contacts to quickly become loose and cease working properly. Very unfortunate product.
