I stopped with sky 2 years ago , they continue to charge me , I have tried to call them and online chat but no way of getting through , this is appalling

God I wish I'd read these reviews…
God I wish I'd read these reviews before switching! Switched to Sky Glass and Full Fibre to save money when last contract ended, so wish I had stayed with Sky Q. TV often won't turn on, 'recording' series via playlist seems to work only when it feels like it, and the voice recognition is like a trip back to the 1990s! In short, don't bother, it might be worth a try in 3 or 4 years if and when they iron out the glitches. Customer service also now a total joke. Might just save myself £100+ a month and go back to normal telly.
Had sky tv 3 years absolutelya awful…

Would give zero stars if available
Would give zero stars if available. Telephoned to query the steep rise in cost from previous months. Operator make a very small reduction but then tied us into a further 2 years contract which we did not agree or discuss. No doubt there is fraudulent activity going on in there non UK Call Centre. I believe there is systematic fraud that is in built within their call Centre. Poor behaviour and values. I am a VIP customer ( reality means nothing) . I want out of sky . Trying to speak to anybody that understands English or indeed speaks English is a rare. If you can manage to speak to a Scottish person then you will be fine.
Appalling.
They must be jokingI just wanted to change my account…
I just wanted to change my account address, which Sky insists must be done by phone.
Called the number only to be told there was a likely 35 minute wait and that was roughly accurate!
The agent claimed they do it that way to prevent fraudsters taking over an unsuspecting persons account and ordering God knows what, but I don't buy that. They either need to properly staff the Helplines or move such basic stuff to online self-help. If banks and other similar institutions allow online amendment of all personal details, Sky should be able to have a system that can deal with potential fraudulent activity too.
Terrible Service iv stuck with them…
Terrible Service iv stuck with them since 2000 but enough is enough trying to move home a simply process youd think .Not with SKY 22 phone calls and many wasted hours mainly ended up at an overseas call centres getting cut off Etc Etc ,, its became impossible to keep with SKY Shocking service Now !!!!!!!
Sky Glass
Sky Glass. Useless. Freezes and locks up constantly. Their adverts manage to load and run perfectly but no programs. Repeated calls to customer support and couldn’t be less helpful. Now escalating to OfCom
I wouldn't give them any stars if…
I wouldn't give them any stars if possible, worst platform ever, so unreliable, nothing works, in Ireland you can't watch on laptop , your being fleeced every month and all it does is out all your apps in one place, I absolutely hate it, I wish ud never signed, please walk away and get a dodgy box
Sky treats its customers like trash.
Trying to change the address for my elderly uncle's account as he is moving into a care home. He has had Sky for decades and it's his last remaining pleasure. The online service change of address form doesn't work. The phone number to call is hidden on the "Complaints" page. Set up an engineer visit for six week's time (!) to get him set up at his new address. The confirmation email I got however shows his old address as the address for the visit. Called the number again - I am apparently going to get a call back tomorrow afternoon. Will it happen? I doubt it, because Sky's customers are nothing to them.
20 year customer - make up own prices depending on the wind.
I've been a customer of sky for 20+ years. Apparently that makes me a VIP customer. I agreed a new contract in May 2025 for my sky Q and broadband of £75. 3 months later there still taking £103. I contacted in July and they apologised and "resolved" the issue. August came along, and they still take £103. I raise a complaint. They say they will acknowledge my complaint via email. No email. I get a call from sky, great I think, someone's going to resolve this. No no no, sir they say, I'm calling to discuss new products and services.
This company has no communication. There is zero interest in loyalty. They clearly have the mentality of there are millions of other customers so we will just do what we want and won't follow through with promises. Modern day pirates.
Kept me waiting 15 minutes then cut me…
Kept me waiting 15 minutes then cut me off.
What kind of company tries to push you online when you call customer service, then keep you waiting 15 minutes on the phone, before cutting you off. Absolute disgrace.
Totally non-existent service!
Last night my Sky TV service abruptly stopped. I have a message that says there is no signal. Troubleshooting achieves nothing.
I have just spent well over an hour trying to get useful input from a human being. They are not interested.
I was eventually told that they would get an engineer at which point I was directed to Domestic and General who only wanted to know my policy number.
I've been with Sky 21 years. I've had enough. As have all the other reviewers!
awful company
awful company! I paid £700 to pay off my phone, they wouldn't allow the final payment and said it had to go through direct debit, the direct debit was cancelled and I had no notification the payment was missed, I now have a missed payment on my credit file and saying its in arrears, sky refuse to correct it knowing its had an impact on me. I wish I hadn't paid the phone off now! the lack of customer care is abysmal. if anyone is looking for tv or internet services, please look elsewhere. ill never use sky ever again!!!! they used to be a great company, im not sure what happened to them, they genuinely could not care less about customers
18.5% price increase after 6 months
Purchased a £54 package from Silverburn Hub in Glasgow. Was told that there is small price increase (normally) in April.
July arrives & my package goes up to £64.
Spoke to Sky call centres who told me that price increases vary & it’s normally an average of +6%. Mine was +18.5% & could only reduce it by £1.
When next In Silverburn (2nd Aug), I saw the same person who sold me the package. She didn’t recognise me & the same £54 package was on offer.
I said “will that £54 package go up at all?”
Her response, “only by a couple of pounds in April”.
I said “can you explain then why the EXACT SAME package that YOU sold me in Jan 25 has went up £10 per month”.
She looked at My Sky App & was seemingly surprised.
She said that I can cancel my contract. I said now know that I can, because I’ve spoken to your Call Centre this week. However what you’re telling people is incorrect & misleading.
It should say, the £54 starts at £54 & will increase without warning outwith the usual April price increase & price increase can be +18.5%.
Misleading advertising by Sky. Training is clearly required for the Hub sales team in Silverburn as this is clearly continuing 7months later.
I had been a customer of Sky for 24…
I had been a customer of Sky for 24 years. My latest two year TV contract ended last October. I had been unhappy with their general increase in rates the previous April. I had a competitive discounted rate, but the increase in April was double the average percentage they quote, as their percentage increase quote is based on the gross rates. I rang Sky to highlight this discrepancy, but said they couldn't do anything (I felt wouldn't). I could only do something about it at the end of the contract. I terminated my contract in October, as I was not prepared to be in a two year contract where I could be held to ransom halfway through. The expected happened, I have since been offered better rates on a package I didn't want. I'm still happy to have ended my contract and can see no way back.
Internet has been down for 5 days
Internet has been down for 5 days. No one answers the phone.
Avoid if at all possible
Sky Q box failed. Total lack of customer service.
Sky Q box failed.
Sky said they would send one out and pick another up. 10 days later nothing, no Sky service. Calls to Sky waste of time. They are not fulfilling their part of their contract so will cancel it after 15 years. Total rubbish service.
Once majorly bitten twice shy !
I cancelled my sky tv, broadband and phone on the 18th June
Since then I have made a number of phone calls including trying to stop you texting me and sending me reminders about equipment etc and a final one about owing an outstanding amount but I would get a refund as well
After a further discussion I paid the supposed outstanding money and then I was promised a refund now on two occasions .
The first refund was promised on the 23rd July and nothing received I was also promised the packaging to send back the router and TV equipment which hasn’t arrived .. and then to receive another text from you stating if I don’t send the equipment back you could charge me £53!
I spoke to a representative yesterday who said that it will all be resolved, the money that you owe me and the packaging would be sent and he would confirm via email/ text and guess what… Nothing Has Come Through !!!! The confirmation correspondence or the money
Absolutely disappointed absolute terrible service
COMPLETE AND UTTER JOKE
COMPLETE AND UTTER JOKE, WHAT A COMPLETE AND UTTER CON THEY ARE, THEY ARE A BUNCH OF UNPROFFESSIONAL PARASITES !!!!!!
IT DOES NOT MENTION THAT YOU CANNOT USE SKY ROAMING PASSPORT PLUS PASS IF YOU TRAVEL BY FERRY, WE HAVE NOW BEEN TOLD BECAUSE MY HUSBAND DID NOT FLY AND TRAVELLED TO FRANCE BY FERRY THAT HE WILL BE CHARGED INSTEAD OF £2 A DAY HE WILL BE CHARGED £3.60 A MINUTE. THEY ARE BLOOD SUCKING PARASITES WHO CONNED US INTO A CONTRACT WITH THEM, WE HAVE BEEN LOYAL CUSTOMERS FOR 25 YEARS, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR TELEVISION, BROADBAND OR MOBILE NEEDS, WE ARE CANCELLING EVERYTHING WE HAVE WITH THEM AND ARE NOW SEARCHING ON THE COMPARISON SITES TO FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE WHERE THEY DON'T CON YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Worst broadband and TV provider I've…
Worst broadband and TV provider I've ever come across. After mis-selling my mum a couple of new products (she was asked if she want to have some bonus products as an apology for an error they'd made on her package), they were then added to her monthly bill.
After noticing it suddenly jumped up, I called with her and asked them to remove it and refund the money. They argued with her! I was on the phone for over an hour.
Eventually we got her to agree to remove it and refund. Next month, the bill was higher! Each month the bill varied, up and down, up and down. Which is weird as she was on a fixed package.
THEN we eventually got through to a UK office who agreed it was not good enough, apologised and offered to help. After promising to rectify everything, return mum's money and give her £15 compensation - I argued and they agreed £30, she never even got it anyway.
We got out the contract and left.
Even after returning the Sky Box etc mum got warnings saying she would be fined for not returning them!!
I eventually blocked their number and cancelled all DD just in case.
Awful experience. Terrible money grabbing, soulless company with very angry (often sarcastic) staff in their call centres.
NO Cusotmer service - absolute rubbish !
I have been trying to contact sky and speak to a human being regarding my problem with my SkyQ box continually losing the internet. I continually get a generic message saying to call the support centre but when i ask what the number is it just sends the same message it sent previously. Earlier on in the week i called one number which then told me to call another number which then told me to go online. I do not want to go online, i want to speak to a human being and stop wasting my time and getting nowhere. This is ridiculous, the fees they charge and the level of customer service is beyond pitiful. I am seriously thinking of cancelling my Sky subscription given how poor their customer service has been.
