This was my first time hiring a car and SNAP made the whole process easy. Highly recommend SNAP.

Super fast Service , mega friendly staff .

So far that we’ve been on our trip in our Snap rental Prius in New Zealand’s North Island it’s been plain sailing. The car has been very reliable and seems to be very cheap to drive so far as we’ve driven four hours in it.
The staff were all very friendly and very helpful as we set out from Auckland airport.
I’d score higher if the front window screen has been washed but the rest of the whole car was clean.

Helpful and exact instructions to find the airport shuttle bus pickup spot; super friendly and cheerful greeting by the shuttle bus driver; very friendly and efficient staff at the rental depot. That’s how it should be. Keep it up! Thanks heaps!

1) Problems when picking up

We arrived after travelling 24 hours from Switzerland feeling exhausted and hoping for a smooth pick up. However my Swiss driving license was not accepted without a translation.

As a result I had to take a taxi to my bnb and contact a professional translation company. All in all this cost me an addition NZD 200 and a considerable amount of unnecessary stress.

During my previous visits zo NZ my Swiss driving license has always been accepted without any problems.

When closing the contract this issue was not expressly brought to my attention.

2) Quality of the car

When contracting a car for 6 weeks I expect to be given a relatively new car.

However the car was from 2017 and had 221,000 km on the clock. Not a new car but what I would call an old banger!

The car was good, and size as advertised, so no hassles fitting my luggage. Unlike some bigger firms that always seen to "bait and switch" and need an argument to get the car you paid for.

As I was going to be driving some back roads I asked how to access spare tyre, as it was not obvious. The person I asked didn't know, so they went and got someone who did. Both of them were super friendly and seemed happy to help.

I pop in store and ask to hire out of vehicle, the staff was really kind and easy to communicate with no issues and was just so fast and simple with the application and it took them 40 minutes to get the car clean and tidy

Quickly met at airport on arrival. Short drive to collect car. Very helpful staff and check in was speedy.
