Sofa is great but we were supposed to…

Sofa is great but we were supposed to receive a care package to maintain the sofa and it never arrived. I’ve tried to find a way to contact them about this and it’s not been easy

Terrible!!

We visited the store in Poole, Dorset on 8 April 2026. We needed to help choosing a new sofa. We had previously bought a sofa, but it couldn’t be delivered because it didn’t fit through the doors of our apartment, so we were in a real rush to find a replacement.

We approached man sales consultant and received absolutely dreadful service! We asked him to help us select a 3 or 4seater sofa from the clearance section. He replied, “Just name the sofas and I’ll look them up.” I wanted to see all the available options to choose the best one for our apartment, but he said it would take him 4 hours and he wasn’t going to do it.

When we asked him to accompany us to the second floor to look at more sofas, he rolled his eyes and reluctantly followed us. His attitude was completely indifferent and dismissive. We also requested sofas with low foot, and he snapped back, “I supposed to know all 40 sofas??”

It’s worth noting that the previous time we visited, another consultant was able to properly help us and select a suitable sofa himself.

When we were leaving, he hid in the back corner of the store, didn’t come out to say goodbye, and didn’t even thank us. He just sat down and stared at his tablet.

It was an absolutely terrible experience. I was planning to order another sofa, but after this I will choose a different store. I have no desire to deal with this kind of consultant and such careless, rude attitude again!!!

This was a new style shopping…

This was a new style shopping experience having never been to store before was so easy to find what we needed from the fantastic choice offered best service ever from staff really helpful.

Staff were excellent and very…

Staff were excellent and very knowledgeable. Great customer service. Just a shame about the kids running around uncontrollably but not the fault of the staff!!

Everyone in the store was welcoming

Everyone in the store was welcoming, we were greeted quickly but not overwhelmed. Staff had good product knowledge and were keen to help.
I hope now that my service pre & post delivery is going to match the level of customer experience I received in this branch.

Update


Update: 
I just wanted to keep everyone informed in case you’re dealing with similar issues with Sofaology.
I’ve now had my independent upholstery report, which cost £250, and it confirms several serious problems with the sofa:
• The foam used is not the correct thickness 
• The foam is the wrong density and not what was advertised 
• The materials used do not match the company’s stated specifications 
• The engineer sent by Sofaology was found to be not suitably qualified
Despite emailing Sofaology twice and leaving reviews, I still haven’t received any response from them. Their after‑sales support has been extremely poor, and their customer promises about quality have not been upheld in my case.
I am now preparing to take the matter to court using the independent report as evidence.
My advice to anyone considering buying from Sofaology: 
Please make sure you ask for full details of the build materials, especially foam size and density, before purchasing. Once they’ve taken your money, they do not seem to care about resolving issues.

Our sofas are manufactured to meet the specifications advertised for each model, and there is no single “correct” thickness or density of foam that applies universally across upholstery, these can vary depending on the design, comfort profile, and construction of the sofa. We can confirm that the materials used are in line with the product specifications provided at the point of sale.
