My neighbour and I were both suffering with water damage in our houses and Garry, appointed by my neighbour’s insurers, arranged to inspect my property at the same time and quickly located and repaired the long running leak. Excellent service by both Garry and the admin staff.

Totally professional and reliable throughout. From the booking to the site work to the final report. Everything done fast with great communications. The site work itself was 100% thorough and gave complete confidence that the problem had been identified.

The technician, Garry, who visited my property was friendly, professional and explained what he was doing and his findings very clearly. His expertise was evident throughout the visit. Most importantly, he detected the leak that had eluded so many other technicians!

Chris Wright visited to establish where under my utility room concrete floor the central heating was leaking. This originally had been detected by Anglian Water's smart meter at the end of November. Before Chris arrived I had visits from various people who established the leak was in the house, in the central heating and in the utility room. Chris arrived on time was a very pleasant person to deal with and kept on going until he identified where it was. He said that judging by the rate the heating tank was filling he expected to find it in about 20 minutes, however nothing is straight forward in my house and it took about 3 hours. He never was anything else but calm and methodical and kept me informed all the way through. To check on one idea I actually call my builder to see what was done when the house was altered and extended (about 10 years before I bought it). He took samples of the floor tiles to be tested for asbestos. So I await the next visit and hopefully the leak being finally fixed. A very successful and pleasant visit.

Chris Wright visited today, first time I have had to use home insurance or dealt with any kind of water leak. He was a star, kept us in the know, detailed everything for us and kept us assured the whole process! Really impressed with the service from him.

Luke was an absolute star. He called ahead to tell us when to expect him. He was professional, polite and amiable throughout the day. He offered his advice on issues he found with our pipes, and how best to rectify them. He kindly explained things a few times to me, so I could fully understand the best possible way to move forward. Arrived on time, explained everthing that was being done. Found the leak and was very helpful in setting our next steps. Would highly recommend.

A timely arrival efficient working process and conclusion regarding leak location.
Re-routing pipes was recommended rather than 'Access & Repair'. So my own plumber came to secure the stop the leak. SOS input regarding pipe routing could have been better.

Excellent prompt service by polite and very professional engineer. Our insurance company recommended SOS for a leak detected in our home. Two previous visits made by a different leak company failed to find anything. Aaron at SOS not only found the leak very quickly but fixed it within a few hours. We are very grateful and highly recommend their services.

Update as of 9th February 2026: I contacted this company and explained the issues. They were experts in defending poor service. When a provider demands full payment before the service is provided, it doesn't give you protection or assurance of the quality of their service.

In my case which you can read further below, they did some standard checks, made up some findings as cause of the leak. Doesn't help at all. You may be better off getting a good plumber in to fix the problem rather than wasting money on Trace and Access. If it's covered by your insurance, make sure you get pre-approval for the Trace and Access cost. Don't be surprised if the report findings undermine your claim. You have been warned.

The admin staff were responsive in sending out information. I had to pay upfront for the Trace and Access for an insurance claim.

The leak detection technician turned up on time and carried out a number of standard tests. However, he blamed the water damage on imperfections on my property that were not the real cause of the leak rather than carrying out further checks to identify the actual source.

In the report conclusions, the technician blamed a shower screen was missing but didn't mention a shower curtain was in use. He blamed the bath sealant needed renewing but the wet floor was on the other side of the bath. Just appalling and unhelpful. Didn't find anything so didn't fix anything, like he couldn't be bothered. The report came quickly but the irrelevant findings undermined my insurance claim. Waste of time and money (£1000).

Afterwards, I had to get a contractor in to carry out further investigations and he identified the source of the leak. What it took was common sense and persistence as the leak was not obvious but it was there. The subfloor was wet, the water had to come from somewhere.

SOS were sent by our insurance company to detect a leak in the utility room. SOS called to make the appointment and came within a few days.
All checks were carried out and the source of the issue identified. The SOS engineer was very competent and provided us with a comprehensive report on his findings and recommendations.

Whole experience of dealing with SOS was excellent. Rebecca made us the earliest appointment she could and was both professional and sympathetic to our problem. Luke who came out to find the leak was also extremely professional. The communication was also great calling us to update his arrival time. We would have absolutely no hesitation in using them again.
