Spuse are genuinely the best phone service I have used in years. Great cost and service availability.
I also asked to downgrade my plan as I bought another for my personal phone and they just said it'll be done. No faff, no trying to sell me other options.
10/10

I have successfully ported 2 numbers from O2 today and we are enjoying 115Mbps download speed on 5G with WiFi off. One time passwords coming through without any issues and very prompt response to a customer service query after I accidentally deleted my wife’s eSIM. A simple remedy by receiving a QR code from them. All for less than half the monthly cost. Really pleased so far

I decided to change over from a well known provider and I am glad I did,I have found the bigger company’s DO and WILL charge you a lot more.
I am now with spusu, the service they provide is far better than my previous provider .
Spusu provide an outstanding network and I don’t get the annoying calls asking me to upgrade my sim contract.
Well done spusu 5 stars from me, I should’ve switched over years ago.
😁👍🤜

Great network! Brilliant service and fantastic price! Been with the network since August 2025 last year. I made the switch after seeing the network ran on EE and was having poor signal issues with Three Network at the time.
Not had any issues and decided today to upgrade my plan to have some more data, called up the customer service team and got straight through to someone. Spoke to Julian and he helped change my plan straight away ready for activation next month. Would really recommend! Thank you.

EE is the best network where I live and work. All other networks give me weird mobile black spots at my workplace and also at home and I got tired of paying for data that I can’t rely on, so Spusu was a godsend in a way, as EE plans are so expensive and I’m not a heavy user. Also I’ve found on a road trip that their mobile data never failed on any section of the motorways or in villages. That’s the best thing about the EE network. Any other network = black spots galore. Spusu piggybacks on the EE network.
The downsides of Spusu in comparison to other networks I’ve tried are:
- when you sign up and it’s not the start of the month, they allocate you a “pro rata”rate of data where they divide the total GB you paid for per month and divide it by the number of days in a month, then multiply that by how many days are left in the month. So for instance I bought the 20GB plan and because it was on the 23rd of the month, they allocated me 5GB for the remaining 7 days of the month.
- if for any reason you use up your data, they DON’T WARN you by a text or app reminder. They simply cut your data off whenever it happens. For me, they cut my data off in the middle of my work day, so at the end of the work day when I was trying to load my bus mobile ticket to go home, the ticket won’t load. I didn’t figure it was because I used up all my data because I was used to being warned in advance by companies if I’m nearly using up all my data.
- once they cut off your mobile data, your phone’s Spusu app stops working. So you can’t even check the app to find out if your data’s finished and that’s why there’s no data - or if there’s a service outage - whatever the reason might be. You can’t buy additional data on the app either when this happens because the app simply stops working. What do you do? You have to call their customer service line to buy more data, which is some very difficult to remember phone number that… well, if you hadn’t saved it on your phone somewhere before this sort of issue happens you’re screwed, because unless you can get to a place with free WiFi to Google up their number, you can’t call them to buy data over the phone.
- additional data is expensive - it’s £4 per GB.
- their customer service agents are clueless. When I called them first time today to ask why I haven’t got any mobile data, they told me it’s cos I used up all my allocated “pro rata” data. I then told her that’s a really annoying time to cut the service as I need to get home and can’t load the mobile bus ticket on my phone if I don’t have data. No suggestion from the agent and no helpful words. Just radio silence. So the conversation ended. On hindsight she should have suggested I could buy data on the phone with her. I guess she just wasn’t bright enough.
I then paid for a new ticket with my credit card on the bus. Was travelling on the bus first 5 mins before I remembered when I used to be with other network providers, they offered the option to purchase extra data on their phone apps. Since Spusu app is the weirdest and most inept app on the market in the sense that once they cut all your mobile data service off, their app won’t work. So I had to call their customer agent again to ask if I could buy data on the phone with them.
This agent too didn’t fail to disappoint. First thing she suggested was that I should try to buy the extra data through the Spusu phone app. I reminded her that because they’ve cut my mobile data off, their phone app won’t work, so can I buy extra data on the phone with her instead? She said yes and processed it. On hindsight she should have just said yes I can buy data off her on the phone straight away, but no she suggested buying on the app when my data’s already been cut.
What mobile network company these days makes an app that stops working when the customer runs out of data? If I wasn’t forced to use EE due to my location, I would have switched to Vodafone, Lebara, Three, anything that had a more decent app and policy. This “pro rata” policy only Spusu has is absolute rubbish. People’s data usage fluctuates weekly. One week I might use less than 5GB, other week I use more. And then they cut off all your data when you finished your allowance without a word nor warning, and the app becomes unusable too. Yes, all their customer agents are based in the UK and they do pick up the phone almost straightaway when you call. But that’s not backed up by a decent knowledge of their product and their app usability. Both times I called today, it was I who had to figure out how to solve my problems by myself. They were useless with no helpful suggestions.

WARNING: STAY AWAY FROM spusu UK! 🚩
I feel compelled to warn anyone considering this provider. Their service is a complete joke and utterly unprofessional.
Unlawful Blocking: Despite being on Pay As You Go, they haven't just blocked outgoing calls—they’ve blocked INCOMING calls too! Cutting off a customer entirely is unheard of in the UK mobile market.
Fake Support: The contact number on their website is a technical disaster. Calling them redirects you back to your own provider. You literally cannot reach them!
Ghosted on WhatsApp: Their WhatsApp "support" is non-existent. Total silence and zero responses to urgent queries.
Avoid spusu at all costs if you value your time and sanity. A mobile network that you can't contact and that blocks your number without reason is not fit for purpose. Reporting this directly to Ofcom.

Excellent initial experience. I needed an eSIM to get me online when away.
Customer service could not have been more helpful.
Signal, speed, everything excellent.
Only used them for a month or two myself but signed my Mum up and it continues to be excellent for her.
My contract was up so decided to swap to Spusu. Stupidly I chose a low plan, 5Gb, to start and get my number ported to them. Once this was done I tried to upgrade to a more generous plan only to be told that yes I could upgrade to that plan but not at the advertised cost.
This because I was already a customer.
Valued customer? It doesn't appear so.
Long story, short, this must be the quickest port in then port out of a number with me leaving Spusu.
The App also needs some work, but that's incidental, showing nearly a Gig of EU roaming when the nearest I have got to the EU was drinking a bottle of French wine!!
Yes, it was only about £5 a month but that's not the point.
Take a leaf out of Giff Gaff's book
Value your customers, grow long term business.
You pay for what you get and this is a cheap mobile service. Most of the time I used Spusu I had issues, mostly I could not make outgoing calls. I also had issues setting the eSim up which took ages to sort out. Customer service is really, really slow and frustrating (I don't do calls to call centres so I was reliant on messaging to get help). If you just want data and texts (with no images) then I guess it's ok, otherwise not worth it.
Phone answered very quickly, and Julian answered both of my queries to my complete satisfaction.
I've just signed up to Spusu and had a query so phoned Customer Services. They answered straight away and responded super helpfully to my query. So far I'm very happy I've switched over to them.
If you lose your phone on a Sunday what do you do when your customer service is closed?
The good part is they answer the phone promptly. That’s about it.
I ported my number to Spusu and was subsequently unable to sign in to iMessage. I’ve not had this problem when switching before. Followed all the steps and it is not resolved. Customer support, though friendly, basically read out the Apple help page.
They also set the eSIM’s default to LTE. Not 5G. You have to manually choose 5G. So while they advertise 5G, you don’t get it by default, in other words they are trying to save money by having you not use 5G.
I’m going to immediately move back away from them.
Update 5/5/26: Spusu was adamant that they had ported the number correctly and it wasn’t their problem. So I moved to Smarty and ported my number again. Everything immediately worked with Smarty, iMessage, 5G.
Spusu is now trying to bill me for the whole of May when they couldn’t provide a full service and that’s the reason for cancellation. Terrible company, stay clear.
Alex was great, he went straight away into service mode and gave me the best customer service experience
I’ve been with Spusu since January 2026, I have been impressed with my sim only deal. So today I checked out roaming charges for my trip to Florida in September, and found out that calls will cost 20 pence per minute. Now Spusu is even better, anyone wanting to move from another network should look at Spusu, I would say you won’t be disappointed!
Spencer dealt with my request to upgrade quickly and efficiently
Carl was fantastic and so friendly and helpful . Sorted out what I needed another 1 g each for myself and kids and all for an extra £1 each! Amazing deal, thanks Carl, top bloke! 👏👌😃I won't use any other company now only spusu which does best deals ever!
Ryan at Spusu was fantastic. He answered my call incredibly quickly and was clear, friendly and polite. He fully understood my request and actioned it instantly, confirming I had what I needed before closing the call. Excellent customer service from a company I’d highly recommend.
