Placed order for 2 boards early October got an expected delivery date of 13 November...then an email 27th October informing me that the order was delayed. Now 22 December no further updates I have sent messages via site but no joy.

AVOID.

BIG SCAM!!!
i have ordered full price a grand kingdom set on the 21th of November 2023.
I have well received a email with the receit but...no news since. i can even track my order on their website saying that there is no shipment yet.
they are well organised, they even send you multiples email proposing waranty for the product.
Waranty company that i had on the phone and are also a big scam.
i emailed them several times but no answer at all.
i will fill a complaint with police obviously.
it is shamefull to act this way.
SQUAREOFFNOW is just a very good scam.

I wish I had read the reviews here earlier. I placed an order, my credit card was charged but no order confirmation and no customer support. Nothing!

Since the acquisition of Square Off by MIKO, there has been a noticeable decline in effective communication. My attempts to seek updates on my order were met with vague responses or complete silence, leaving me in a limbo of uncertainty. The promised delivery dates have been pushed back repeatedly, with no solid reassurance or explanation provided.

The lack of transparency and accountability from Square Off is alarming. For a company offering such a promising product, the poor customer service and disregard for backers' concerns are inexcusable. This experience has significantly eroded my trust in the company.

I urge potential customers to consider these points seriously. While the product itself may hold appeal, the company's reliability and commitment to its backers and customers are seriously questionable. It's essential to invest in companies that respect their customers and uphold their commitments, qualities that Square Off has failed to demonstrate.

like the board (neo) although it isnt perfect.
the problem is the app i payed to upgrade to the premium it charged my card but didnt update.
several emails have been sent to customer support not one single reply shocking.
avoid like the plague

This is a scam ....try to avoid their projects from Indiegogo or Kickstarter

This company needs to keep its promises regarding delivery dates and responding not ignoring repeated emails. By replacing my non functioning swap board as promised

This company is a scam. I did not received my chessboard form 3 years.

I supported on Kickstarter the Square off project 3 years ago. Square off delayed the shipping constantly until they sold the company and the new company offers us a Miko robot instead of the Square Off chess set, if we want to receive a product in reasonable time...

I backed SquareOff's chess board Kickstarter campaign in 2019. They didn't deliver. Then Miko bought Squareoff. Now they're offering a kids robot that has nothing to do with chess as a replacement.
Looks like SquareOff and Miko are both in the scam business.

It's litterally a scam. I'm part of thousands of people that were promised a board since 2020! (129$) Every few months we get promised a delivery, then a delay. After almost 4 years I have to accept that it was a scam all along...

I waited 3 years to receive my chessboard. When I received it, it didn’t work and I was told it came from a faulty batch and they would send a replacement. I was told I would receive the replacement by the end of October. Not only do I not have my replacement but they are no longer responding to my emails. Huge scam.

In January 2023I ordered a Neo chess set and a bag to accompany it, The set and bah were supposed to be delivered in June 2023, the board arrived in August after many chasing emails and, I have still not received the bag, again after many chasing emails. I keep raising a complaint (Ticket) and receiving not reply apart from my ticket has been closed.

When you ask for money back, there is no response. Ordered more than a year ago.

Sent me a faulty board - about 2 years overdue - and then ignored countless emails, until finally promising to send a replacement by the end of October. It's November 6th and I have no board, no tracking and no update.

An unreliable and untrustworthy company - see the reviews here, the indiegogo campaign comments, and the numerous reviews on youtube and across social media of faulty boards and appalling customer service.

All what I hope for 2 years ago was getting back to an old hobby of mien suporting some founders with a great idea on paer only as I had to learn later on. By now I still did not receive the boards I paid for getting lots of excuses and delays and strangely never an answer for a refund I demanded though the company is happily operating and selling nwe product hoping to forget the first investors making their business possible in the first place. By now I only hope that my lawyers get something more out of them than the promises they keep repeating. In a matter of trust in a company I would even like to give less than a star wehen someone just takes your money profitting from it without ever returning anything not even an open answer to you inreturn. If that is not fraudulent behaviour I do not know what else is.

The board with an additional set of pieces was ordered and paid for in December last year. It should be delivered in June 2023. So far, several unsuccessful inquiries at square off. Apart from empty promises, no delivery. Last guaranteed delivery promise was supposed to be in September; as expected, of course, nothing. Apart from a costly disappointment, I am at least one experience richer. I will never invest in a project from square off again! I can only warn other potential buyers to make the same mistake I did!!!

Everything went wrong. Do not engage with this company, nor any of their commercial promises. Every commitment they can make to get your money they will... but dont get fooled this is a 1 way transaction ... squareoff way solely and only
