Amazing product, I can use my phone or the square pay reader for my workshops or if I am selling any item at a show.
I can see transactions easily and the fee is very good with no add finder extras.
I recommend this to anyone who has their own business. A must

Right now I'm trying to use my POS, square reader. Everything on my account says verified by the customer service representative who is only available 9 t 5 says my account is deactivated. LIVE CHAT? Doesn't exist. Its a lie.

Simple and easy to follow shortly after using square I was able to take payments just using my phone, so the card reader wasn't always needed .which I think is a plus point if your mobile.

Just love my Square card reader… came to them after a disappointing service from another provider.
Square are excellent at keeping my records and I find this so useful for end of year reporting for HMRC tax returns etc.

Only just started using Square - solely for One-Off payment links and as the main payment provider for our website. No issues at all setting up everything to work with WooCommerce and offering Payment Links. Coming from a PayPal customer user of over 15 years, we have completely removed them and solely use Square. Their Payment verification security checks via the website is perfect (Which we had serious issues with PayPal with). Square shows all the failed reasons in their docs so you aren't Googling for hours either!
Looking forward to working with Square for the foreseeable & getting their card reader soon - when possible.
It may be daunting switching to a new payment provider - as it was with us, but 100% worth the time to set up

Having started out just before covid hit we suddenly required a reliable method of contactless payment that didn’t cost a fortune to run was simple to use for both us and our customers. Square reader hit all the right spots and I now use two square terminals with square readers as backup. I find the user interface to be natural and easy and this can be setup relatively quickly. It all works well and I’ve not been let down yet.

5 stars for getting our small business off the ground. Great service and the square reader is amazing. Online tools are fantastic the only thing i would like to see is the ability to get a better payment processing device eg. One with a screen, barcode reader and printwr and split it into a few monthly payments Withings yourselves to help spread the cost of a post system

Recommended by a colleague - I use the online app on my iPad Pro to take payments at our local art society. Many of our older members are nervous about ‘tap and go’ using a card reader and like to see the amount being processed manually which I can do with Square.

We use a square reader linked to a smartphone app for our charity. It’s great for taking membership renewal payments and payments for trips and events. The fee percentage is low enough to manage without imposing an increase in charges to cover.
It reduces cash in transit from our meeting room to the bank - which is a safety concern for me as Treasurer of our charity.
The only platform allows easy creation of “sales items” (such as annual membership, individual event charges etc). The reader is reliable. Our members have confidence that “tapping on” is safe. We can easily email instant receipts.
The reporting analytics are ideal for our audit requirements and transfer of funds usually happens the next day.
It only costs us money to use on the days we use it, so no regular subscription commitments.
Would recommend to any small business, sole trader or charity.

Signed up because they promoted Tap on Android feature but they don't disclose it only works on certain models. Forced to buy a reader which also is incompatible with my phone. Getting hold of a live person to arrange a refund and return of the reader is next to impossible.

I'm a sole trader working as a domiciliary chiropodist. I decided to try the Square card reader and wished I'd signed up before. Most of my patients are elderly and always having to make sure they have cash to pay me, is a bind for them. My younger patients use bank transfers, but Square fills in the gap for those who aren't online but find getting cash for me difficult. The money drops into my bank account within 24 - 48 hours and it saves me having to queue up in the Post Office to pay in cash every few days. The referral offer is great as I'm getting £1000 of payments free from any charges in my first 180 days. But even without the offer, the charges are small and I'm happy to absorb the small fee. There is no annual charge from Square, and at £19.99 for the actual reader, it's a no-brainer. It's so small, it doesn't take up any room. The only potential downside is the need for your smartphone to have a signal. I live in a very rural area, and so far, have had no connection issues. As far as I'm concerned, I am giving my patients yet another way of paying me. Awesome for all concerned.

If you take face to face card payments, like myself and you're looking for a device, you've just found it!
The card reader is easy to use, connects every time, holds its charge well and does everything you need it to do, including taking payment from digital wallets on phones and watches.
The app you need to run the device is free and very straightforward to navigate - there's plenty of support from Square should you need it.
There are no hidden costs, just the standard transaction fee - you can transfer the funds from Square to your bank for free within a couple of days, which suits me fine, or you can instantly transfer for a small fee if you need access to the funds straight away.
I am glad that I chose Square and I'm confident that as my business grows (hopefully!!) and evolves, Square will have the right tools to help me along.
