Enjoyed our crossing found the ship to be well equipped and plenty to do, very well laid out ship good food and service. Only grumble was on departure other passengers thought it to be ok to start there engines on deck 7, 15 mins before moving off so they could have the comfort of air conditioning but with no thought for other people without air con and the crew working around the cars, we had to get out of our car and walk to the open air so we could breathe as the fumes were chocking us and to hot with window closed, reported to a crew member who said that people should read signs DO NOT START YOUR ENGINE UNTIL ASKED TO ! But did not atempt to enforce it, i shouldn't have to mention carbon monoxide can be deadly !
We have been on several other Stenaline ferries and this seems to be a general problem that seriously needs addressing.

Death by beeps... 😂

Cairnryan to Belfast Return (19th and 22nd August)

Negatives - noise - access to the Stenaplus lounge is controlled by a keypad which beeps LOUDLY and CONSTANTLY disturbing everybody else on Deck 8! Return journey was delayed and seemed disorganised.

Positives - relatively comfortable and lots of spaces throughout, food was okay - pancakes and fruit for breakfast, burger and pasta for evening return.

Best Dublin reception of Darren at stenna port

5 stars are for the staff member at the port of Dublin he went out of his way to help me and my family he could see how stressed we were doing the day trip picking my grandaughter up and going straight back on the next stenna he made us feel so relaxed after travelling overr with a 2 yr old and 12 yr old all I can say he needs a medal and to be recognised as one of the nicest young men I know my 12 yr old named him the Goat Darren from the port ticket office at the boarding in Dublin stenna port thanks for just being you I think I would of been so ill but you went out of your way to help us a family to make sure we were safely put back on board again Darren thank you so much please stenna Dublin port let him know what great member of your staff he is Darren (GOAT)

Wasted my time

I went for a job interview at Stenaline that lasted over an hour and that I thought went really well and nobody bothered to even have the courtesy to give any feedback or contact me following it, not even an email. Very poor, HR.

A great trip

A great trip both ways Birkenhead to Belfast 7th-11th August.. boarding as foot pax very smooth and crew super friendly. We had not been on this crossing previously so concerned the 8 hours might get too much, plenty to do onboard. Needed to upgrade on return and cabin was very comfortable and just what we needed. Lucky enough to see porpoise surfacing on the outbound leg.
Thanks again for a lovely experience!

We used Just park to ree-book and leave our car at Hollyhead and got a parking ticket . Car park 1 was full so we used Car park 2 next door ( same company ) and got a ticket , apparantly we have no come back

Online booking a bit confusing, telephone assistance good. Upgrade lounges poor and toilet cleanliness very poor.

The booking procedure was a little bit hinky online but was ironed out very successfully when I phoned and spoke to a person. 4 stars for that.

Travel experience on the Estrid.
The Hygge Lounge was not at all pleasant, too dark, not comfy, packed. 2 stars
The other lounge was a bit better but the chairs were not comfortable or supportive for backs. 2 and a half stars.
In the general area the toilets were awful. The floor around the cubicle supports was grimy on both journeys. The toilets themselves were gross - blocked with poop and paper or just not flushed. They could do with more thorough cleaning and more frequent/active review & clean by staff. Zero stars.

Trelleborg-Rostock night ferry

Trelleborg - Rostock

Asked to be at terminal at least 60 mins beforehand but when you finally get on the boat the cabins are not ready until just before departure. Which is of course an awesome idea on a night ferry. Staff were frankly pitiful in their jobs and customer service did not really care. Well done Stena. I guess there are always other companies in the future.

Didnt let a car on when the boat didnt…

Didnt let a car on when the boat didnt leave yet. Poor customer service outside the boat. Bad rules because they doesnt let passengers on when they have picture of their passport beacause of that 2 of our players dindnt come on the boat and a parent have to stay in denmark and could not join the boat. Bad service!

Poor customer service

Travelled Belfast to Liverpool on the overnight ferry. Make our way to the cabin and just leaving the bathroom when another family entered our room. All very embarrassing. We check our keycard to see that they had both been issued in the other parties name. At customer service it was agreed that the other party would take our cabin as we had used the facilities. We were approached later by a member of the other party who informed us they had obviously received an upgrade as they were now in an outside cabin. Sure enough, upon checking my booking I had paid for an outside cabin but did not receive this service. Off too customer service again who initiated a refund for the price difference, or so I was led to believe. No refund was received so made contact with Stenaline who advised as a gesture of goodwill they would issue a refund of the difference! It is not a gesture of goodwill but a refund of money owed to me! Extremely poor customer service considering the experience we had and having to chase my refund for a service I did not receive.

I travelled from Belfast to Liverpool…

I travelled from Belfast to Liverpool yesterday the 14th July 2024 on the 1030am sailing
I forgot to take my dogs food out of the car so I went to the restaurant to see if I could buy a sausage.
The young lady at the counter, Vikki, was super helpful and really did go above and beyond. Vikki went to the kennels, when she understood the situation, to get some food for my lucky pooch.
Now that is first class customer service.
I took the food back to my pet cabin to a very grateful wee doggy.

Rosslare to fishguard

We recently travelled from rosslare to Fishguard. We were staying with friends in rosslare, a 10 minute drive away and weren’t expecting any traffic for our early travel time. We soon realised we were very wrong after we set off and joined a very long and slow moving queue down the road from the port with our sat Nav telling us it would take 45 minutes to reach our destination. Work on the port was affecting traffic. We were really worried we would miss our boat as we approached the scheduled departure when the check in staff rang us to check if we were still coming. We explained where we were and they said not to worry and that they would wait for us and they did. We were so greatful for their kindness as we were worried about how we would get back if we missed it. The sailing was very smooth with comfortable seating and plenty of food options. I would not hesitate to recommend.

The good and the less good.....

We began travelling on the route Harwich-Hook of Holland in 2015 and we've done a return journey every summer and have loved it! It's been a 5 star experience for myself and the family, a really enjoyable part of the holiday that we all looked forward to. In June we travelled with the refurbished Stena Britannica on the day sailing and I wanted to share some of our opinions and observations. First the good bits: check in is always quick; driving a motorhome aboard is easy as there's plenty of space and no ramps to battle with; most of the furniture had new coverings and the tables and carpet were also new which gave it a fresh look. Now to the less good....by building a long wall to the new Plus Lounge the sea view in the Taste Restaurant is now restricted to two sides and makes the restaurant darker; people still sleeping on sofas; the exquisite Metropolitan Restaurant is gone; the Taste Restaurant used to have quite good food too but our three meals Chicken Breast with Gremolata, Beef Sirloin Stroganoff and a pizza (wrong one delivered to table after 25 min. wait) were very average and not worth the money. I complained and got a carrot cake for free and the waiter said kitchen staff not happy with new menu either; although ship looks fresh it also feels pared down and plain like a budget airline whereas before it had a touch of luxury and was full of fun details. I could go on but will end by saying that the reason I write this review is that we love Stena Line and kind of wish we could turn the clock back.......

We travelled on the Stena Vision from…

We travelled on the Stena Vision from Cherbourg to Rosslare on 27th June. The staff were very helpful and pleasant . The main downside was the cost and quality of the food . The evening meal was OK but expensive , but the breakfast far too expensive and was only lukewarm , a good temperature for food poisoning.
My advice is skip breakfast .

They charge over the top at the port and on board they put price up at weekend for foot passenger also security searches are abismal
