Emma and Elise were very helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. They progressed the sale quickly at our end and notwithstanding some delays caused by 3rd parties, we managed to complete reasonably quickly.

I used Emma Selfridge as my solicitor for the purchase of a buy-to-let property. The process began in July, and despite there being no chain on the property, we only completed at the end of January 2025. The delays were unacceptable and largely due to lost documents, poor communication, and a general lack of organisation.

It was extremely difficult to get hold of Emma, and when she did respond, she would copy me into long, confusing email threads that only added to the stress. I even received emails from her at midnight, which made me question the professionalism of the service. Having purchased several properties in the past, this was by far the worst experience I have had with a solicitor. I am genuinely worried that things may not have been carried out properly because of how chaotic the process was. I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere for a more reliable and professional service.

Well, your reply proves the mistakes and mess that have been made.
It was a straightforward purchase with MORTGAGE, no bridging loan, which I had to go back many times asking why the paperwork mentions bridging loan.

Happy to get my mortgage broker involved as he was the one that set up the MORTGAGE.

Again, I have no trust that this was carried out properly, and now I feel the need to instruct another solicitor to check what you've done.

Instead of asking me to amend the review, maybe look into it properly and find a better solution.
