Sthetix Cosmetic Surgery Clinic 

Most of the females in my family have had breast reductions. I was the last to consider it, but having been in moderate pain for the last 12 months, and having tried physio to correct my posture and painkillers for my back, neck and shoulder pain almost daily I decided I couldn't live with it anymore. Originally I approached the NHS - the consultant agreed I was a good candidate for the surgery, but warned i was unlikely to get the funding. He also recommended Mr Alvi - even though he was a breast surgeon himself, he felt Mr Alvi could provide the best results.
I didnt get the funding and after a lot of consideration I decided to look into private surgery. I made appointments with 3 different surgeons, Mr Alvi being the last one I met. I knew instantly that he was the man I wanted to treat me. He was kind, open and comprehensive. He examined me professionally (not the case with some of the other appointments I had been to unfortunately - be careful out there girls) and there was always a chaperone with me.

To avoid going on forever - here are the important things to know about Sthetix:
Staff are helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and very available. I really felt cared for every single time I spoke to any team member. They all had time for me.
Mr Alvi is outstanding in every way. He treats you as a person, he reassured me before i went into surgery, he is kind and readily available for any worries pre and post surgery, and I am incredibly pleased with the results of my surgery!
My aftercare has been amazing and my hospital stay was wonderful.
Whilst there was no issues with the results - I was reassured in the knowledge that had there been, Mr Alvi would manage this as part of his service.

Even to the day I went in for surgery, I was very very worried about how it would impact upon me. I was worried I wouldnt look like me anymore and worried that I'd continue to be in pain, even after surgery. But instead having a breast reduction has changed my life in ways I wasn't expecting. I did it to get rid of pain. This has been achieved, but I have also found myself with more confidence (I didn't think I was lacking any!!!), I'm happier in clothes, I look better, I even sleep better, I'm not breathless in the mornings and I don't hate my stomach anymore!! It looks so different now its not half covered in boobs!!

From the moment I booked my appointment I couldn't of asked for more! I had all the info I needed and any questions I had was answered within a phone call. My breast operation went great same again amazing care all the way through. Just come back from my check up all great news and I am absolutely over the moon with my results! Mr Alvi and his staff are fantastic. From my first consultation i was made to feel at ease, every detail of the operation was discussed and explained thoroughly. The care and attention was excellent from start to finish and I am over the moon with my beautiful perky fuller breasts.

I had a Breast Augmentation on 21st Oct 2014 with Mr Alvi and I have to say the whole experience has been fantastic! On the run up to the op, at consultations and post op the clinic have always been there to answer any questions or concerns I had especially in the early days post op when I worried about every little thing. Even now 7 weeks post op I know that I can just pick up the phone if I have a worry. My results are fantastic and have been since day one to be fair. It is such a novelty to wear low cut tops and dresses at last! The team at Sthetix are wonderful and I would like to thank Mr Alvi, Karen and Sophie for all their support during the last few months. Mr Alvi is an amazing surgeon and I would 100% recommend him to anyone. He is so approachable and answers all questions honestly (and yes I always took a list to my consultations!) I recently took the plunge and had cosmetic surgery, it was something I have always wanted to do but never had the time and the money both together, I saved until I had enough and then did my research on line, it did not take me long to choose my surgeon, as a registered nurse I already knew of Mr.Alvi's reputation, and it was exempulary, I booked my consultation aand met him at Renacres hospital where the surgery was to take place, he made me feel totally at ease and explored my reasons for wanting this and encouraged me to ask questions, but in no way swayed my decision, I thought that would be it and we would agree on a date to have it done, but to my disappointment was then offered a second consultation, I later realised that this was a good thing as it gave me time to reflect and to make sure that this is really what I wanted, I was in no doubt and on my second consultation I was shown some Implants and encouraged to try them so that I could make an informed choice, again at no time did Mr.Alvi sway my decision or influence my choice, but he did reassure me once I had decided that my choice was a good one and would suit my size and frame. We then agreed a date for the procedure. I booked my leave at work and to my surprise on more than one occasion one of the girls from the team rang me to ask if everything was ok, and did I have any concerns or questions, they were all fantastic, nothing was too much trouble, and they gave me an email address and a phone number incase I needed to ask anything before my procedure. On the morning of my admission I met my anaesthetist and members of the nursing team who were to look after me, I was to stay in overnight which was very comforting as I was not sure what my pain would be like, my anaesthetist George prescribed analgesia to cover all the eventualities,I was expecting it to be painful and it was but I was looked after very well, and even having said that I would do it all again tomorrow, my nursing care was first class, as was the hospital facility, I was discharged the next day to the care of my husband, and was surprised as to how well I felt, a little uncomfortable but nothing I couldn't handle, I returned to work after 1 week, I had no complications, and returned to the dressings clinic after 2 weeks for wound inspection, all sutures were dissolvable so no need for removal, and I saw Mr.Alvi himself at my 6 week check, I have to say this operation has changed my life, I am 55 years old and for the first time feel like a complete woman, I went on holiday 2 weeks ago with my new bikini body and felt fantastic, Thankyou Mr.Alvi and each and everyone of your team for your care and help, I would recommend this procedure to anyone but just don't leave it as long as I have x

I had a tummy tuck and liposuction and was extremely happy with the results. Right through from consultation to the operation and the aftercare I was looked after. I would definatly recommend.

As a nervous patient, i was referred to Dr. Alvy who listened and reassured me of the processes involved and options available to me. During my surgery both Dr. Alvy and his staff treated me with a calm confidence which allayed my fears, one member of staff even held my hand throughout the entire process. I would like to say that I was pleased with the surgery and the pre care and after care I received at the Hospital it was second to none, however I am a bit disappointed in the amount of liposuction that I received during the procedure. I was under the impression that more liposuction would be completed on the stubborn areas on my waist area. The overall stitches/scars have been what I expected and with the advice from my surgeon the are settling down nicely.

From first consultation to final check up everything was perfect. Service and support outstanding. Detailed consultations prior to surgery and on the day. Couldn't have asked for better. All staff helpful, friendly and polite.

I had been putting off this surgery for one reason or another for years. In retrospect I wish I had just got on with it! The nursing care was excellent, Mr Alvi was very reassuring, and most important professional, in what is after all a very difficult situation, I think it helped that I was not made to feel like I was having some sort of Middle aged crisis, but rather something I needed and that they could help me achieve. I was very nervous for my first appointment, but after that I was sure I had made the correct descion and could only feel relieved about the whole procedure. The pain was minimal, in fact only discomfort. I was very careful to follow all the advice, and rest afterwards. Finally.......i really love the result! It exceeded my expectations, and I have just had another surgeon check me for an unrelated condition and complimented the work I had done as excellent! Many thanks to everyone!

I had my breast augmentation with Mr Alvi in July 2014. The whole Sthetix team was extremely professional from start to finish. From my initial enquiry everything was explained thoroughly and clearly and I was asked regularly if I had any questions. I never felt under any pressure to go ahead with anything and had plenty of time to make my decisions. My consultations (both free I must add!!!!) were very informative and Mr Alvi is the kindest man and very easy to talk to. We chatted about what it was I wanted to achieve and he advised me what would give me the best possible outcome. I tried on a variety of different sized implants in both of my consultations and after my second I was sure I was making the right decision. I had my surgery at The Catherine Suite at Liverpool Women's Hospital and again all the staff were very kind and caring and made sure I had the most comfortable stay under the circumstances. I was called by Karen (one of the Sthetix team) numerous times throughout the process-she is amazing, so sweet and so knowledgeable. She answered anything I could possibly needed to know. She was always available to talk or would be sure to return my call as soon as possible-even out of hours!! After losing a substantial amount of weight I was left with extremely saggy, empty breasts. I was so unhappy and decided it was time to get a breast uplift with implants. I met with several consultants before I met with Mr Alvi but straight away Mr Alvi put me at ease. He took time to answer all my questions and he seemed to genuinely care. Due to the extent of my poor skin elasticity I required some mini adjustments done after the surgery and this was done at no extra cost. Very happy with my results..my breasts look natural and the scars are so neat and very minimal despite the extensive surgery they underwent The entire Sthetix team were so professional and caring through every step of the process. An extremely professional and thorough team with excellent after care. Before, during and after my surgery, the Sthetix team were in regular contact to make sure I was well informed, comfortable and well. I would recommend Sthetix to anyone who is contemplating cosmetic surgery. Mr Alvi really is my Fairy Godfather! I had lost over 8 stone in weight and despite exercise I was left with loose hanging skin which made me very self conscious. I went to Sthetix for a consultation as I was starting to think about a tummy tuck / abdomnioplasty. One consultation with Mr Alvi and I knew it was what I wanted to do. He was very reassuring and explained everything in full detail. Both him and the staff at Sthetix; Karen, Maria and Sophie were very approachable but did not do the 'hard sell' that I expected. The whole experience made me have a great sense of confidence in Sthetix as they seemed extremely ethical and professional.
After several consultations and forms, I had my surgery in December 2013. Knowing what I was about to put myself through, the recovery etc, I was extremely nervous on the day. Mr Alvi put me at ease straight away. He has such a calming influence and gave me great confidence that he would look after me. I had my surgery at Renacres private hospital in Ormskirk. The care was excellent and I was really looked after. The food was delicious too!
Mr Alvi came to see me the next day and offered me more advice, guidance and reassurance.
Following my surgery, I had several aftercare appointments and phone-calls to ensure that I am recovering well.
Today I have just returned my a minor op with Sthetix. Despite Mr Alvi removing 1kg of skin and doing an excellent job, following my recovery I was left with a fold of skin on each side, known as 'dog ears' they were not very noticeable but Mr Alvi is such a perfectionist that he advised me to have them removed, which I did. This time the surgery was minor and done at the surgery with local anesthetic. Mr Alvi chatted away to me during the procedure, as did Sophie his assistant. This put me at ease. He ensured I was numb and didn't feel a thing. Afterwards he ensured I sat down and rested before he let me go and only when my husband arrived to collect me.
