I placed an order for a fly line to send as a Christmas present only to be told it was out of stock and on back order.
When the product finally arrived it was obviously not a new product - the pack had been opened, the line tag was sticking out and half the label was missing.
I have no guarantee this is not used and I can not give it as a present.
No information on how to return and replace.

Una estrella, porque no le puedo dar menos. Pedí unas gafas que tienen una lupa pequeña, para probar cómo funciona esta tienda sin gastar mucho dinero. Test fallido. Me llegaron unas gafas que son una mierda, muy caras y peores que otras que compré en Aliexpress. La lupa no aumenta nada. La montura y la lente son de plástico cutre, ni siquiera parece policarbonato, parece que se vayan a rayar al primer uso. ¡¡UNA ESTAFA!!
Por otro lado, en la web no se mencionan claramente los gastos de aduanas. Entiendo que ellos no tienen la culpa del Brexit, nosotros tampoco, y creo que el aviso no se pone de mala fe, porque avisar sobre este cargo reduciría las potenciales ventas fuera de Reino Unido, así que, al no avisar, los potenciales clientes no se asustan con los gastos de aduanas y... a ver quién "pica el anzuelo" (muy apropiado en una tienda de pesca), pero, y no se equivocan del todo. En mi caso fueron 25€ de aduanas, por unas gafas que costaron (que no merecen la pena) 50€. ¿25€ más? ¿75€ por unas gafas de plástico cutre que se las voy a dar a mi perro para que juegue con ellas porque para otra cosa no sirven? ¿Estamos locos? Lo peor ha sido la decepción, por ese precio esperas algo de calidad y te llevas la mierda que te llevas.
Otra cosa curiosa es que todos los comentarios de su web son de 4 y 5 estrellas, no hay ni un solo comentario malo, ¡nada! Todo es superlativo, muy sospechoso, suena a manipulación de comentarios. Mucho más fiables, precisos y acordes a mi experiencia personal, los comentarios en Trustpilot
Por último, y lo que realmente me mata, es la falta de atención al cliente. Les escribí hace 20 días, y todavía no me han contestado, a pesar de que en su web, anuncian con letras grandes que siempre contestan y rápido. ¡¡A mí no!! Además, mienten.
Definitivamente no recomiendo para nada esta tienda, y nunca volveré a comprar aquí. ¡¡Manteneros alejados!!

One star, because I can't give it less. I ordered a glasses that have a small magnifying glass, to test how this store works without spending a lot of money. Test failed. I received glasses that are shit, very expensive and worse than others I bought on Aliexpress. The magnifying glass does not magnify at all. The frame and lens are made of poor plastic, it doesn't even look like polycarbonate, it looks like it will get scratched on first use. A SCAM!!
On the other hand, customs charges are not clearly mentioned on the website. I understand that they are not to blame for Brexit, neither are we, and I think that the notice is not posted in bad faith, because warning about this charge would reduce potential sales outside the United Kingdom, so, by not warning, the potential customers are not scared by customs charges and... let's see who "takes the bait" (very appropriate in a fishing shop), but, and they are not entirely wrong. In my case it was €25 for customs, for glasses that cost (which are not worth it) €50. €25 more? €75 for plastic glasses? Are we crazy? The worst thing has been the disappointment, for that price you expect something of quality and you get the shit that you get.
Another curious thing is that all the comments on their website are 4 and 5 stars, there is not a single bad comment, nothing! Everything is superlative, very suspicious, sounds like comment manipulation. Much more reliable, accurate and in line with my personal experience, the comments on Trustpilot
Finally, and what really kill me, is the lack of customer service. I wrote to them 20 days ago, and they still haven't answered, even though on their website, they announce in big letters that they always answer and quickly. No to me!! On top of that, they lie.
I definitely do not recommend this store at all, and I will never shop here again. Stay away!!

I bought the livestreem distance fly…
I bought the livestreem distance fly rod I received the rod on Saturday 7 of September there was a mark on the top section I rubbed the mark and the top section broke without any pressure. I have emailed them and messaged them and still no answer. Any ideas to what I can do about this apart from getting a lawyer to sort it out.

I bought a max pro floating fly line from Sunray, at first I thought it was a good purchase, but after only a few weeks this fly line started to sink😖 I’ve fly fished for over 15yr, and never in my life have I had a floating line sink in this short time, I always dry and clean my lines. So I emailed Sunray customer email, with no reply after 3 days, BTW they advertise they pride them selfs in a quick reply, I had to email again… and 2 days later get a very generic reply, telling me to send back at my cost, also straight off the bat blaming it on user error!!!! Which I swiftly replied back, this was a week ago with no reply….save your self some grief, disappointment and buy your stuff from anybody other than these clowns. I have now asked around about this company with in my fishing circles and they all say the same ….STAY AWAY!!!

Dreadful Customer Service
Ordered a new line and backing in September which has never arrived. Dreadful customer service. The lack of a contact phone number is always slightly suspicious. To date (2 months later) they have my money and I still have no goods from them. Easy fix would be to send me my order. Avoid!

Signed up to Fly Fishing Masterclass and they take £19.99 from your account every month. Even my bank could not find out who the payment goes to - described on statement as 'Digital Services'. Not sure how they do this but so far I've paid £180 for a video which I'm sure I bought as a one off for £25. Rip off - Avoid!

Must be the worst fly line I’ve ever had , the welded loops fell apart after a month and within three months the line was full of cracks and started sinking ! I won’t be buying this rubbish again , I’ve had a fly line on one reel for 10 years ands it’s better than this !! Very disappointed.
Poor customer service
Bought an overhang marker 5# floating line, the welded loop fell apart after only 4 months. Despite the alleged 12 month warranty, I was told the loop is just a bonus and they tried to sell me braided loops.

Terrible aftersales for bad quality products
Unfortunately the quality of the products are not good and the aftersales service even worse.
Had the epoxy on my 6 weight glass fiber rod crack after using it twice. Impossible to get a refund from Sunray. They did offer a credit note that serves me no purpose since I was looking for a glass rod.
In their own words:
The California fibre glass rod is very flexible and it’’s normal to see cosmetic marks in the varnish as it bends. This will not affect the performance in any way.
One of these blemishes was a proper crack and no, this is not normal….
I can’t imagine what the lighter line glass rods which are more flexible will look like after a month if their statement is true.
Their lines don’t last long before cracking either….some in less than a month and they definitely don’t last a season .(apparently it’s normal for lines to crack as well 😂)I’ve owned 2 short heads, a competition and fast sinking line in #8 and #9 . Don’t count on the so-called guarantees….they don’t honor them.

Ordered a floating fly line which arrived nightmare trying to put it on reel that was using a line stretcher came off like a bedspring decided to try and stretch it by hand to remove memory made it worse so binned it didnt get one cast out of it £40 + wasted

Beware!
Beware the "One day free trial pay nothing casting masterclass offer". If you decide not to proceed beyond the free one day, they still take your money and then don't reply to email requests for refunds. Good luck if you try to contact them by telephone, you just get a recorded message giving their email address. They've definitely lost my trust and I certainly won't be dealing with them again.
