Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 382 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers express extreme frustration with the customer service, citing an inability to reach a human representative through various channels like email, phone calls, or chat. People frequently report issues with the website and support systems, often being directed to unhelpful online resources or automated bots that fail to resolve their problems. Reviewers also highlight a general lack of accountability and responsiveness from the staff, leading to significant disruptions in their personal and business operations. Conversely, a small portion of people felt satisfied with the service they received, describing agents as professional, kind, and effective in resolving their issues. These positive experiences often involved direct assistance from a human agent who took control of their screen or provided expert guidance.

I can only call some AI that tells me I have to solve my problem (not being able to sign in because my account requires me to enter some pin that I DID NOT CREAE which is 4 digits as opposed to the 6 digit one I actually created) by going to some website which to access I need to be able to sign in which I can’t because I don’t have the pin and all it lets me do is change my password which doesn’t help anything and this stupid AI hangs up on me when I call again because god forbid I have a different problem or want to speak to a real fing person Jesus Christ

Tied themselves in knots with all their lies

One of the worst support organisations I've ever encountered. Microsoft are happy to take everyone's money and even to consign peoples' functioning PCs to the skip so they can sell them another PC. But dont expect any help if things stop working after they've got your money.

This is what happens when support gets off-shored, I've seen it time and again. They tied themselves in knots with all the lies they told me about my current support issues. Disgusting company.

Microsoft Zero Support

From the comments about Microsoft and the thousands of bad reviews I think I am wasting my time.
I am a home user and have Microsoft 365 on a monthly subscription, I missed my payment but immediately corrected it and funds were paid but now when I go into my emails it keep flashing up I need to pay. This is not uncommon as two years ago I paid on both an annual and a monthly subscription. To get a refund is harder than contacting support.
I need help as cannot send attachments. Please ring 07773 372727

Staff seem unable to solve problem of gmail not syncing between server and Outlook app on pc

Gmail can be linked to Outlook app in windows 11 on pc but then repeatedly fails to sync with Outlook app unless app is rebooted or a "Quick Repair" run on the pc. A huge variety of solutions have been attempted over the last 3 years ranging from doing a quick repair to completely reinstalling Office, all work for less than a day. Eventually I was promised, 3 times, a call back from "Level2" support on specified dates but no call ever came. Also several times when a call was made the agent hung up almost immediately on replying or shortly after, Staff seem to be prepared to promise or do anything to get you off the phone.

Terrible Support

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Microsoft support.

My account was hacked, and Microsoft themselves confirmed that unauthorized access had occurred. Despite this, I was told that nothing could be done to restore my account because the security information had been changed.

What is especially frustrating is that after I followed up and asked for further assistance or escalation, I received no response at all. As a customer, being left without any solution or even a reply is unacceptable.

I have lost access to my account, including purchased content like Minecraft and personal files in OneDrive, with no real attempt from Microsoft to help recover anything.

I understand the need for security, but completely refusing to assist a verified account owner after confirming a hack shows a serious lack of customer support.

Very disappointing experience.

I have been trying to reinstate an…

I have been trying to reinstate an email that uses my name and initials with Microsoft. There are less than 200people in the world with my surname and yet microsoft cannot help because there is absolutely no way to get through to support. Surname and initials match the icloud account that I have and yet they are unable to line up the two.

Absolute disgrace

My son's account was hacked. The hacker turned on two step verification and Microsoft rejected my son's request to retrieve his Xbox account and all associated accounts with Microsoft. Absolute crock of poop with their AI contacts, I need to speak with an actual human.

AI "support" disaster

If there was a zero star option they would get it.
My 365 subscription got deactivated (Microsoft's error) and I can't use any of my office apps. The online support is just a bunch of AI chat bots that say they'll get someone to phone you back in 24-48hrs and it never happens. If you call their helpline you just get another AI voice on the line that doesn't understand you and is useless.

It's just an AI mess which is just as useless as Copilot!

Epic incompetence by Microsoft

Regularly I clear my PC of cookies etc and accept that to reactivate certain apps etc checks have to be completed. To reactivate my Hotmail Account is proving impossible!! Three of us have been unable correctly to match the puzzle set by Microsoft!!! Repeatedly try alternative option of requesting a code to phone registered to account - requests ignored!!! Microsoft this is incomptence on an epic scale - you are really losing your way!!!!!!!

Got a Trojan horse

As the title say I had a Trojan horse, the helpline responder walked me through the process of getting a firewall, tried to make me pay for a year (I explicitly said I couldn't afford a full year subscription right now) my banque asked me for a security code, can't find the card, guilt tripped me like it was more an inconvenience for him then for me.

Great social interaction (it wasn't)

Disguisting Service

Spoke to a woman about an issue i had via the online chat. Couldnt figure it out, redirected me to another gentleman, did nothing. Gave support a call, where they hung up on me. Twice. Terrible service.

Double Billing

Have xbox gamepass subscription through microsoft. Have been getting double charged since december, have had the subscription for much longer than that. When their subscription prices went up, is when I started becoming double charged. None of my payment methods were changed and neither was my subscription. I was refunded last months double charged amount but the issue has occured yet again this month and remains unresolved. I have been trying to contact someone all week. I am continuously met with unhelpful AI bots, chat terminations after 2 minutes, "self help" articles. When I try to contact through the support phone number, AI bot puts you through to the wrong service and tells you to go to such and such website. Upon callong back, my call is automatically diverted to the same website suggestion so I am unable to change the options to get through to an actualy human customer service representative. When I search for the complaints line, it is the same number. I also tried a seperate service number, and my call was automatically diverted the same as the first number. This is absolutely apalling and I can not believe they are getting away with this! meanwhile, I am getting robbed every month with seemingly no way of getting through to a human support worker. To say I am upset is an understatement. They need to be reported to a regulartory board.

Microsoft scam

Having both of your legs broken supports somebody more than Microsoft. Had multiple refund requests denied by them because it allegedly went against their terms of service, there were no violations, and yet they continue to produce content that doesn't work. More like Microsoft scam.
